Do not order larger. I have worn a size 13 for 30 years. I have had 5 pair of Keen shoes in size 13. I took everyone's advice and ordered a 14. Now I have to return and wait for a refund to order a 13. Don't order larger.

I wear a size 15, which is difficult to find at local stores. Zappos makes shoe buying easy. I ordered the first pair of Keen water shoes last summer and liked them so much that I bought a pair of street hikers this winter. The fit and feel is really nice.

I bought these for my teenage son who has large feet. Keen tends to run wider than normal which was great for my son. I ordered him a 17. He loved them the minute he put them on! It is nice to have something other than sneakers to wear especially during the winter. Thanks Zappos for carrying the big sizes and making shopping a breeze! Shipping is always awesome!

Bought these based on the reviews. They advised ordering 1/2 size larger. I really didn't need to. They are great shoes. Very comfortable, and dry. I will order them again.

These run 1/2 size smaller than my Keen Voyageur. These also are not as comfortable as Voyageur. Nice looking shoe, though. I wish Keen made Voyageur in blue similar to this Targhee II. As always, awesome customer service from Zappos.

The Keen Targhee II is an almost perfect shoe for hiking, or daily wear. I wear the Targhee II mid for my hiking boots, and when I wanted a pair of casual shoes for work, I purchased its little brother. Like the mid, this shoe has the same sole and structure, so is identical in footbed comfort and support. I love wearing them for work. They do suffer from one small flaw, inherent in so many hikers I have worn--the inability to stay tied. Here is a simple trick that Keen has solved in the Targhee II Mid that they so-easily could resolve in this shoe. Use the little lace-grabber that serves as the top eyelet of the Mid, but has been left off this shoe. The grabber, for lack of its real term, allows you to tighten the boot and then insert the laces into the rubberized grip. Even if the shoe does come untied, the shoe remains firmly in place because the lace holding the tension is still in place. Without it, both the boot and nature conspire to loosen the ties that bind. Several times each day, these forces win out. Sometimes, the feeling of looseness is enough that you choose to re-tie. Other time, they just give out. In these time, it is quite literally possible to throw a shoe. I have resorted to using the same tricks I employed on the shoes of my kids when they were toddlers. This is my ONLY complaint about the shoe. The could be made perfect for about 50 cents worth of rubber grippers.

If they fit, you'll love them. Firm sole, fancy lacing, gusseted tongue -- and, best of all, a really big toe box. Unfortunately they don't make half sizes for us big boys -- so a 14 was too small for me, and I'm kinda swimming in the 15. I'll probably keep them for hiking when I wear double socks.

I ordered the grey and red Targhee II and the colors are exactly as seen on the website picture. They look awesome in person and I absolutely loved the shoes. Unfortunately, the heel slip was too much for me. I had to return them. I tried different ways to tie them but it just didn't help enough for my feet. Bummer, I really liked these shoes. Kudos to the Zappos team for their great customer service with the live chat function. That worked really well.

Had these for about a year. I wear them three days a week in the summer to work on a golf course. Staying dry is paramount and these work well. Soles have held up well relative to wear; however, they are continually separating from the bottom. Sick of gluing them back together and will be looking to buy a replacement soon. I have had 2 other pair of Keen shoes and these are the first pair to disappoint me.

Another great Keen shoe. Not sure I would order the same color again. I almost exchanged them for a different color that was a half size larger. But ended up keeping them. My normal shoe size is 12. With Keen boots and sandals it has been 13. I would say with these I really needed a 13 1/2.

This is my third pair of these. What I like most about Keen shoes is that they have a large toe box, both width and height. That makes them feel a whole lot better than other shoes. They're ugly, but comfortable. I wear them as work shoes all day, almost every day, until they fall apart. The waterproofing is OK. Like most shoes of this sort it's good for about three months and then starts to fail. I have to silicone spray them after that to keep them dry. In my experience, Keen Dry process is not quite as good as Gore Tex process. These fit closer to American size than most shoes made in China, maybe a quarter/half size smaller, but no one makes a 13 1/2, so us big guys are out of luck.

The thing I like about Keen shoes is it there's plenty of room for your toes. They are wider than most other shoes, but order a larger size as they do run smaller. I normally need 11 or 11 1/2 and I need a 13 in these. Very comfortable and well built.

First comment: here's another recommendation to order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. I did, and they fit very well. These replace another brand of low hikers, that felt soft and comfortable like a cushiony running shoe. The Keens have GREAT arch support and a much stiffer sole, like a real hiker for pounding over rocky trails. Very comfortable. I'm not a fan of "I've had these 2 minutes, and they are FANTASTIC" reivews. I've only worn these a few days, and not in bad weather. So far on wet pavement or decking they aren't slippery. They are warm in summer weather (waterproof liner) but here in northern PA we have many months of sloppy slush to slog through so I'm not troubled. Definitely recommend these.

As everyone else says, this shoe runs small. I wear a 13 (including other keen styles) and had to go with a 14 in this shoe. Just got back from a week in Colorado and these shoes performed very well. They are indeed waterproof and they are VERY comfortable with their large toe box. The ventilation doesn't work very well and my feet get pretty steamy in them on a hot Central Texas day, but that's a side effect of any waterproof shoe I've tried. I gave it four stars for this reason. I switched to this shoe from Merrell and so far I'm happy with the choice. I loved my Merrells but with the extra toe room in the Keens, my toes are much happier after a long day of hiking. Will see how well they hold up over time to know if I'll buy again, but so far I like them a lot.

Wore around house for a couple of days, felt good. Went for short walk outside, and my feet have never hurt so bad. They are fine on soft surfaces, but walking on concrete sidewalk is terrible.

This is my second pair of Keen shoes, my first one I bought it by the recommendation of my podiatrist, they fit out of the box. When I got these ones, I am blown of my mind their quality is consistent!

Just bought a pair of these for walking and light hiking and I am really pleased. A little stiff at first, but getting more comfy as I break them in. I also own a pair of Newport sandles. They are the most comfortable sandle I've ever owned. Keens rocks!

I saw these online shortly after I had already purchased a pair of Gypsum mids, but liked the look of these shoes and the idea of a more shoe/boot hybrid better. While my Gypsum booths felt true to size, these were about a half-size too small. The way the tongue attaches to the side of the shoe is a bit odd (it's cut low-enough that I fear it will impact the water resistance factor of the shoe, yet high enough that it bunched at the sides and impacted the comfort of the top of my foot while walking). They also didn't provide as much stability as the Gypsum, so after further consideration, I decided to return these and go with the Gypsum for when I need a hiking boot and classic sneaker for when I need a sneaker.

Overall a great shoe. I had some issues with the sizing. An 11.5 seemed too large, slipping at the hear some. I ordered an 11 to replace the larger size, but they were way too small. I ended up keeping the 11.5 pair, though they are a touch loose. Love the shoes though. Built very sturdy and great for working on concrete floors for hours on end.

Great shoe! I generally where a 10.5 but my previous Keens were 11.5. I read the reviews and decided 11.5 would work. 11.5 fits but there is no room for error, I probably could have gone with a 12. However, as long as I keep my shoes tied properly with my heel firmly connected to the rear of the shoe, there is no problem. It is very comfortable.

Nothing like my previous pair of Targhees, which were well-made and lasted a long time. These were skimpier all around -- pieces of leather were smaller, seams were showing, and the tongue was crudely attached to the body of the shoe. (In the prior pair this had been sewn and then turned inside-out -- so none of the the sewing (and fraying) showed. In this it was already a mess.) Too bad, Keen, you may be going the way of other brands :(

I already own a pair of mid high boots by Keen called the Detroit, soft toe but I wanted an ankle high trail shoe so I went back to Keen and got the Targhee II and I'm glad I did of course it fit great right from the box and I liked the color right off. The fact it is also waterproof is an important feature of this shoe. I live in NYC and it's been tough here this winter. The Keen line of boots and shoes can take it. I would recommend these shoes to my friends or anyone who wants a good waterproof shoe.

This is my second pair of Keen shoes - I came back because they're comfortable, durable, weatherproof, go-anywhere shoes. The Targhee's are a mid-height that's actually completely waterproof, which is hard to find. They're also very warm for cold winter walks with the dogs or hikes through the woods. Large-footed buyers take note: these run about a size large. I wear a 17 in every other shoe, but a 16 in Keens. Also, the toe doesn't taper, so give yourself a day or two to adjust to driving if you're a three-petal purist like me.
