Excellent Boot - I bought these in the natural suede through Zappos Canada, very fast delivery, excellent. I bought a half size smaller because they were out of my normal size and they fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and look great. The calf is nice and wide so they are a bit bunchy at the ankle but I think it actually looks good that way. Would definitely recommend this boot.

Very Nice Boot - This boot is very nice and comfortable. I ordered the boots on Wednesday and received them Thursday and am wearing today Friday. The service was great and prompt. This boot is definitely true to size. I have a large foot (size 12) but they didn't have my size so I got the next size up which is too big but it’s nothing I can't handle. The calf area fits perfect. Cool to wear with some jeans and a nice jean skirt with some cute tights.

AWSOME BOOT!!!! This is my first pair of Fitzwell boots ... I love, love them they fit so nice... they're nice and tall and they fit my 17 inch calf so well ...the jelly soles are so comfortable; no need to break in these boots...if your a wide calf girl this is the perfect boot for you ... plus they're so adorable looking. Zappos sent them so fast ... like lighting fast... thank you Zappos...

My favorite footwear - I'd been looking for years for tall boots that fit my monster calves (18") and looked cool as well and these are the bomb! So comfortable, I don't notice that I've been wearing them all day and so nice looking- gorgeous, soft leather. I love them and wear them every day and have them in both black and brown. Best money I ever spent on footwear. They do run a bit big, and I could have probably went a half size down, but I left them big so I can wear thick socks if I ever want to. I get more compliments on these boots when I wear them than anything else. Cannot recommend enough.

Best Boots EVER - Thank you Zappos! Thank you! I ordered these boots after trying in vain to fit into a pair of "wide La Canadienne" boots, however wide wasn't wide for my right leg. These boots are amazing. The suede is gorgeous. The colour is really pretty and yet rugged enough. I absolutely adore them, if only the other colours came in my size too! I would beyond a doubt have all my friends wear these great boots. Thank you Zappos!

Awesome boot - Very comfortable, awesome boot! I need orthodics and this had plenty of room for them, which made them even more comfortable! Very pleased. I highly recommend this style!

Good boot! This is a good boot- it is really comfortable to walk in, and nice and roomy in the ankle and calf, I recommend it. It's a little more "rough" looking in person than on the website, but still cute, just not as polished as I'd thought.

I love this boot! Very comfortable... I have a wide calf and wide foot I normally wear a 6 1/2 wide but in this boot I can wear a 6...and it’s a very cool looking boot too!

FINALLY! A BOOT THAT FITS! I haven't been able to wear any high boots because I have ridiculously wide calves. I guess I have cankles, which I'm quite proud of, but finding nice boots to fit me have been a challenge for so long. These boots are a little expensive, but honestly, they're SO comfortable, made really well, and are SO gorgeous, I think it's worth the investment. The first day I wore them I was on my feet for most of the day running around NYC, and not once did my feet start to hurt! Awesome boots!

Amazing Boot! This is a truly outstanding boot. Comfortable, stylish and looks tough. I have a 17.5" calf and the boot is loose enough to fit a full boot-leg jean inside. I have slender ankles, so the boot is a little loose on the ankle, but I think it just adds to the rugged look. I bought these as winter/snow boots and am wearing them every day even though there isn't a snowflake in sight.

I receive tons of compliments. Purchased in black and brown. No arch support so purchased arch inserts. I have huge calves and the boots fit wonderfully. Yay finally a boot that I can where just about anywhere, dinner and dancing or super casual, skirt or pants, very versatile boot.

Great book also purchased the black. Arch support is lacking, purchased inserts. I always receive compliments. I am 6' feet tall and its nice to have a tall boot that reaches just below the knee cap. Great look!

Thought the shoes were amazing, if only because I could actually zip them around my 19" calves! I'm about 5'8 and 255lbs, so that's saying a lot. However, I'm returning them because they are still snug. I'd keep them if I weren't afraid that the zipper would give at some point. I regret having to return them. The leather isn't the best and the brown color is particularly rich (muted actually), but they are much more refined than any lace-up snowboot I've seen. They also are the most comfortable (I could feel the rubber heel), but had they fit better, I would have kept them. Also, what everyone says about baggy ankle and roomy foot area is true, too.

I bought these 2 years ago and the zipper broke so now they're out of commission. I did get a lot of wear out of them; I wore them in good and bad weather. Think I shortened their life by wearing them in bad weather though, but they were good looking snow boots. The rubber sole and gel insole is super comfortable. My only issues with them are that the ankle area stretched out fast and was sort of baggy. Other than that, I could wear them walking all over the city comfortably in all kinds of weather. Sizing is large, I order a full size smaller than my normal size.

Did the trick - The boot fit my chubby calf (~ 18") with a little coaxing. There is some flexibility at the top. I’m short, so this boot worked well coming up a little below my knee. The only thing I don't like is the white stitching. I tried a similar style with the 'RSVP-Emmily', but the calf wasn't wide enough.

They fit my calves!!! My calves are big. I would say around 19 inches. I could get these boots zipped up all of the way. It was snug around the top but I didn't mind because I have a hard time finding tall boots. The boots are wide in the foot. I didn't mind because I put a cushioned insole inside and it helped. I gave the boot a 4 star rating because there is absolutely no arch support and I needed that. Otherwise, it is a great boot.

Great fit! The leather is a little cheaper than the price would suggest but I love the boots anyway!

I LOVE THESE SHOES!!! Right out of the box, they were comfortable. I did not need to break them in at all. They also feel very secure on my feet -- no slipping around the heel, which is usually my complaint about boots. I have wide feet, and I ordered the medium width in my regular size and they are perfect. Even with a thicker pair of socks my feet don't feel "squished." On top of all that, they're really stylish! I should mention I'm also using my green Superfeet insoles with them, not the insoles that come with them. If you have knee problems, you might want to do the same.

Love them in suede - I ordered these boots in 7 in the leather and 6 ½ in suede. The leather is horrible, very cheap and even if they had fit I would have returned them. I was very disappointed, the suede however is great. I am can wear either a 6 ½ or 7 and these boots run very big. I put a sneaker liner in them to make them even cushier and I love them. The wide calf is very wide. I have a 14 1/2 inch calf and can fit jeans inside and still have quite a bit of room. I do wish that the stitching was in black instead of white, so I took a permanent magic marker to the stitching and now they are all black.

Great for us wide calf women - It is hard to find a stylish high boot for those of us with a heavier calf. This is the boot for us!

The boots fit great...very comfy for lots of walking...but I put those arch support inserts in for a little xtra support. The calf is a bit too wide...even with jean tucked in there is xtra room. I am 5'10" and love that the boots almost reach my knees! They run big...half a size at least.

Great Boot - The boots would have gotten 5 stars but they are about a 1/2 size too big. Very comfortable. They fit great over jeans. I'm going to buy the brown.

Wished this style came in regular calve sizes - Constantly on the hunt for a replacement boot to my large Born size 11 that I've worn out after three winters. I usually wear a size 12, the size 11 fit, and the size 12 was too big. Unfortunately, the calf was just as described and too big for my normal size calf. I ordered in Brown and Black leather, and while the Brown leather did look "cheaper", I would have kept them both had they fit due to the cute, comfy style with skirts for the winter. Back they go and the search continues...

Go for the suede version! I bought my regular size in the brown leather and a half-size down in the brown suede. Luckily, the boot that fit my foot is also the nicer boot! The leather looks cheap and low-quality, while the suede looks nice. (I would rate the "look" of the leather as a 2, while the "look" of the suede a 4.) The leather also stretches less to accommodate wider calves -- although the calf measurement on the leather boot was larger than on the suede boot, the leather would not zip over my leg. The suede zipped up nicely--these are the only boots I've found that, unmodified, actually zip for me! For the petite ladies, be careful! I am 5'3" and this boot is really just a hair too high for me (but I am keeping the suede version anyway).
