True to size - Finally a stylish boot that fits my calf. I have wide feet and calves and this boot is great for me! Love the look. Makes my legs look lean. Very comfortable.

Wow - This boot is positively beautiful. It's exactly what I've spent the past 2 years searching for. Very tall, flat, just cute. Unfortunately, the calf is so ridiculously huge. I realize that it's a wide calf boot, but I'm a runner, I have larger calves, and there was over 3 inches of excess around my calf. The boot fit very nicely in the foot and ankle, but the top was sloppy and ill fitting.

They kept me warm in 20 degree weather - I purchased these boots and wore them to South Korea for New Years. They were great to walk in, and kept me warm the entire time! They look a little slouchy, but that might be because I have large calves and smaller ankles, but other than that, these boots are amazing and completely worth it.

Good buy - The boot is adorable and the suede is really nice. The shoe part feels MUCH larger - probably a whole size - than it actually is. I don't mind because I can just use fluffy socks, but my feet move completely around in there. The wide calf is nice - I have muscular calves and am tall so the proportions can be off - these were just a little to big but worked great tucked in to my skinny jeans!

FINALLY - wide calf and comfortable - I love these boots. They are not dressy, but they make up for it in comfort. They actually fit my huge runner calves with room to spare, which is a first for me after years of trying on, and sometimes buying ill-fitting too-tight boots. I can tuck jeans in if I want to. Also, I am normally an 11 wide, so was reticent to buy these since they did not come in wide foot sizes, but they fit with room to spare for thick socks in the normal size 11. I have worn these all day all over the sidewalks of Manhattan. Nothing else comes close to the comfort except my Dansko clogs. A bit pricey for me, for the look, so I won't order a second pair for a while, but I do love these, so am keeping them. The black leather is nice, and functional, but I will check out other Fitzwell -- hopefully I can find a dressier one that fits as well.

The best and most comfortable boots - I received these boots the same day I ordered them - and they were the best boots I have ever put on in my life. They fit wonderfully and are so comfy to wear all day. I ordered the brown pair last week and this morning I ordered the same boot but in black. Cannot wait to get those. Seriously, you should buy this boot.

Fantastic walking boot! I spend a lot of time on my feet and needed a boot that I could wear both with jeans and skirts. These boots were great! I wore them with EVERYTHING! I use past tense because I came home one day to find them eaten by the dog. I'm now trying my hand at another pair of Fitzwell boots. If they're not as fabulous as these, I'm exchanging them for another pair of these!

The perfect all round boot - I love this boot. It is the best everyday, run around the city boot. I also have very wide calves and this boot was a perfect fit for me, I highly recommend these boots. Enjoy!

Great Boots - Great Shoe! So happy they have wide calf boots they are so hard to find.

I have looked high and low for some REAL LEATHER boots that fit over my 15 ½ " runner's calves AND my small (6) foot. Thank you Fitzwell - you hit the nail on the head! I get nothing but compliments and they are so comfortable. I will probably get them in black, cause if you find something that works, buy it -- right?

love the comfort, fit and look - I've NEVER been able to zip knee-high boots over my large calves. I ordered a half-size larger than I normally wear to get the extra circumference and they fit perfectly around my calves. I can wear them ALL day with NO discomfort. There is a bit of extra room around the ankles, probably because I ordered them a half-size bigger, but I just wear thick socks to take out the extra room. I'm seriously considering buying a second pair in black (despite the high cost) if they're ever available in my size.

Just okay. I had been checking out these boots everyday, and then I finally gave in to buying them. They came the very next day, which I was very pleased about. Upon opening the box, they did appear a bit more rugged than I had hoped. I tried them on, and they did fit over my jeans, but since I'm short (5'0") they did go up a little high on my leg (a little higher than the bottom of my knee), which made them hard to walk in. I have to be honest; I didn't fall in love with this boot upon receipt. I think it would be more flattering on a longer leg. Also, though the leather is of good quality, it is not very smooth/polished. All in all, I felt that the fact that the boot actually zipped over my wide calves (16") with jeans on excited me more than the actual boot itself. Needless to say, I returned these shortly after I got them.

I love my boots! These boots are great! They are a little wide in the calf. I wear them with my jeans tucked inside and they are still a little loose, not too bad though. They are really comfortable, I walk around in them a lot without any problems.

Love them - I just received these boots today. I love them. They are very comfortable. Feels like a shoe. I usually wear 9 1/2, I ordered 9 and they fit perfect. I have large calves and there is enough room for my jeans to be tucked in. After 3 pairs of boots, finally found the ones that works. Thanks Zappos for such prompt service. I will shop with you from now on.

Great Casual Boots - I have a very hard time finding boots that fit me, and that are comfortable. Usually the only boots that fit my legs, cut off my circulation. These boots not only fit great, they are super comfortable, and they look very cool also. They fit snugly without feeling tight. I spend a lot of time on my feet, and these boots felt great all day long. They look great with tights and a short skirt.

I almost cried... For the first time in my life a boot actually zipped up and looked good! There’s even room to tuck my jeans in! Thank you Fitzwell for understanding that not all calves come in one size!!! Plus the leather is gorgeous!

Love these boots! I received these boots in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to wear them today. They are very cute and very comfortable. I knew I'd love them, though -- I have another pair of Fitswells that I wore nearly every day last winter when I was pregnant because they were so comfortable, cute, and sturdy.

Very comfortable! I really like this boot; it's very comfortable and stylish. My only complaint is that the calf is actually TOO WIDE. Surprising, because I have very wide calves.

I own these in the natural suede and have been dying to own them in black. They are wide enough- the leather is a bit stiff, but I figure they'll stretch. They fit jeans tucked in! Thank you Zappos! Best boots EVER. I really do hope Zappos continue to carry Fitzwell Wide-Calf boots (I understand it's a house brand of Zappos!) So thanks! :) I can’t wait for the winter to wear them with skirts and jeans. Yay.

Multi-occasion boot!!! You never have to stuff your calves into another pair of ill fitting boots. These boots fit perfectly over my 17 ½ inch calves and go to just below my knee. I love that I can wear these to work or going out, with jeans, skirts or dresses. I can't wait to try out Fitzwell's high heel boots!

What a pleasant surprise! I had some so-so experiences with Fitzwells - it always ends up being a pain to find my size in them, so I told myself I wouldn't bother with them anymore. Then I saw the Frantics and thought, “Okay, one last time.” And I am so glad I gave them a chance. I have four qualities that make boot-shopping nightmarish: I have a size 12w foot; I have very large (like 20"), muscular calves; I have one calf that's about an inch wider than the other and I'm tall. The Frantics are just about perfect for me - I ended up ordering a size up (13) to allow for an orthodic and they're actually so roomy in the calf that I'm going to take them to my cobbler to be taken in (which is much easier than getting them let out). Also, in the size 13 they're about 19.5 inches tall, meaning they actually approach my knee (unlike most other non-custom boots that usually hover around mid-calf on me). And - best of all - the elasticized bit at the back blends in with the leather very well, so you don't get that obvious elastic-panel look that's so common in wide-calf boots. But a word on color and leather quality: originally I ordered the brown, but I ended up sending it back. It had that stiff, shiny look of artificial leather and I wasn't crazy about the tone (lighter than I had expected). So I exchanged it for the black, which is soft, pebbled leather - nothing like the brown. What I REALLY wanted was the suede, but based on the photos, the elastic panel in the back looked much more pronounced in the suede than in the leather. The elastic on the black boots is so subtle you can't see it at all, and the leather is very soft and comfortable. The foot bed is great, too, and they even come with a cute black satin bag for storage. As always, thanks Zappos for the liberal return policy that made it possible for me to find these great boots!

Awesome Boots!!! I ordered these last night and they arrived today (thanks Zappos for such fast shipping). If I could afford it I would buy these in the leather as well. I bought a half size larger because I was worried about them not zipping over my large calves. Well the boots zipped up and felt like they were made for me (except being a half size larger on my feet, but I can live with this). The choco suede is soft, beautiful and the stretch fabric in the back looks almost identical to the suede. I am very happy with my purchase and am still considering buying another pair even when I shouldn't!

Fantastic!!!!!! The fall season is just around the corner and I have been in a desperate search for high boots that actually fit my large calves. I was sick and tired of the "stretchy" leather that actually accentuates the calves (and I do not need). So I read all the reviews and ordered these. I ordered these boots last night, and this morning they were waiting there for me. :) I cannot express my sincere happiness right now. They fit!! They look great and are comfortable!!! If you're like me and are looking for a cute, high boot and you have large calves (mine are almost a 17!!), then go for it. :) You will be pleased.

Most Rich Looking Boot For Any Female - I bought this boot in Brown Leather excellent rich leather…but although these boots do run short in size I returned my size 9 and am awaiting a new arrival of 10's or 11's. I know they will fit buying that size and still they will look smaller than shown once on...This Fitzwell boot is absolutely a remarkable rich looking leather and style...It's like waiting for Christmas again. This boot inside fits like your walking on air and your arch is protected as well as your entire snug fit on the leg...If anyone out there shops for boots make Fitzwell a pair in the bunch, you won't be making a mistake on this order…Us larger calf ladies get the best when it comes to Fitzwell they make sure we are totally satisfied.
