I just got my WW631 in 9 1/2 Wide. At first the area around the balls of my feet felt tight; besides wide feet I have high arches. The heel rubbed a bit too. But after wearing them for a few hours, they softened up and the next day, they felt great! I readjusted the laces to go in the top holes, and the heel problem went away instantly. I work both on our farm and in our winery (wet floors), so I'm on my feet for long time periods, outdoors and on concrete, as well as indoors. I really need a good supportive shoe that doesn't fall apart, and looks ok in the tasting room, and I think this will be it!

Decent work shoe - I got these shoes because I’d been working a lot and thought better shoes might help me be less sore. These shoes do help a little bit. The first day I wore them they felt really uncomfortable and I regretted buying them, but now they are comfortable and I am pretty happy with them. I usually buy really cheap shoes for work because I don't really want to spend a lot of money on something that is solely for work. Whether it was worth it or not I’m not sure...don't get me wrong, these shoes are not at all uncomfortable, but I guess I expected more for the price.

A little larger than expected - Used to buying Reebok Princess in wide size 9, but bought this one in 8 and 1/2, still larger than the other. Will try SAS next. Should have sent back, but back is bothering me and it seems to help that.

I needed a wide shoe for my job in a factory where I stand for 8 hours on oily floors. These prove to be very comfortable.

Chef in Myrtle Beach - The shoe did not need to be broken in; it also seems to be fixing my ankle problem. I do recommend in getting another pair to change out if you are on your feet for long stretches.

Not the best shoe I\'ve ever bought. Got one pair in black and one in white, each same size. White wouldn\'t fit! Black looks grey. If I wanted grey, I would\'ve ordered it. Wearing them, but looking for something better. These slip off my heel with each step. Not the best shoe, as I said.

I purchased these shoes for work. My job requires periods of prolonged standing and some walking. I found the shoes sturdy and heavier than I expected. I usually buy New Balance, but I realized the most comfortable shoes for me are mesh rather than leather.

Tighter across ball of foot than others of this brand and size, creating pain after only a short walk.

Wish They'd Fit Better - I needed new, non-slip shoes for work. Black, non-slip. My feet were killing me with the old, cheap brand I had owned previously. I figured a good pair of shoes, good quality, good reputation would be the way to go. They don't fit, but I would not have known that even if I had the chance to try them on in person first. I still would have purchased them after trying them on initially because they actually seem to fit upon putting them on. It turns out that they are the wrong shape for my toes and have turned my big toes purple with bruises. They weren't super comfortable after standing in them all day but I figured heck, all shoes need a bit of breaking in. I'm too poor to buy yet another pair, so I am keeping these and hoping my feet help change the shape of the shoe, and am also going to find arch support inserts. I have medium to high arches and need good support, but have this issue with nearly all of my shoes. What can I say? I tried, gave them a chance, and I wish they had worked out for me. I sincerely believe others with a different foot shape would have better luck with them, because they definitely are made well and of good quality.

New walking shoes - I used to wear just about any walking/running shoe but after my first pair (about 10 yrs. ago) of New Balance I never bought another brand. The pair that I just bought weren't that comfortable at first but have gotten better with each walk. I'm a little disappointed in the "look" of them too...kind of "dowdy", but I have had other pairs that eventually conformed to my feet and started looking o.k. And they are REALLY white and I'm used to a little color on them but that's my fault for not ordering that. Overall though, they are a good pair of shoes and I will continue to buy New Balance!

Width problems - I wear a 12N. Usually New Balance shoes fit very well (in certain styles). This one had ample toe box fit, but the right shoe rubbed on the widest part of my foot, at the outside base of edge of the area of my little toe (not the toe itself). The heel could have been narrower, but since I have an AAAA heel, most shoes have this problem. I was very disappointed and will be sending the shoe back. I can't say it was too small, because it wasn't except in that area. The left shoe didn't rub, but the same area seemed slightly too narrow/tight. I wear orthotics, and with even the slimmest one, the shoe felt too tight. Yet a B width will be too wide.
