From a flat foot -
I wear orthodics in my shoes...partially for my extreme flat feet. Well, I put them in this shoe; it was ok but not really comfortable. I took them out and, low and behold, the "rocker" right under the arch was such a help. I was able to do a lot of walking without pain. (I used these shoes for the first time on a trip to Boston...lots to walk and see!)
I recommend the A330W to any flat footed person.

These shoes fit true to size, are very comfortable (even the first time I wore them), good price, and look great. I got the Moonrock color and have had several compliments on them. I do have narrow feet. I would order more of this brand.

This website is always my first choice for shoes-can't beat the service. I just ordered a second pair of this shoe-totally comfortable (especially for shopping all day)! I have been wearing Avia shoes for years, but this style’s arch support is better. Shoe also looks great for everyday wear.

These shoes were comfortable from the first time I put them on. I bought them for a trip to Peru, where I'll be walking, but didn't want hiking boots. They're light-weight and look a little nicer than just plain old tennis shoes. I put my orthotics in them and they accommodated them very well. Overall, very pleased with the shoe. Zappos is great. SUPERB FOR WIDE FEET! COMFORTABLE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!
These are my second pair of AVIA's and I am so impressed. Each day, I walk and speed walk so much and I have switched from other brands of Walking Shoes to AVIA Walking shoes because:
1) They are the ONLY walking shoes that properly fit my feet in total walking comfort.
2) They offer better support than any other walking shoe that I have tried, including the VERY EXPENSIVE.
3) AVIA shoes offer the best styling and best prices for such a well made shoe!
4) AVIA offers WIDE widths. My feet are somewhat wide, however, they swell wider when I walk and my feet need the wide width for comfort.

I was very pleased with these sneakers. Initially I was a little concerned, as they were the cheapest of all the walking shoes I looked at. I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for. Well, I read the other reviews left by other Zappos customers who purchased these very sneakers and I decided to go for it. I needed a good walking shoe, and these fit the bill. This is a good all-around shoe. I use it for walking. Avia is my go-to shoe; I've worn the Avia brand for years. It just fits my foot better than any other. The toe box has room and it has better support. I remove the liner and wear it with an orthotic.

I have always preferred Avia but it has become nearly impossible to find Avia shoes in my size 5 1/2 in the stores. Zappos has a good Avia selection. This shoe felt good right away. I have already used them for aerobics and walking and the support is just right.

I loved this shoe and recently switched from the NB690 model. The cantilever thingy seems to work very well and this shoe really cradles the heel. I have a heel spur on one foot and metatarsal problems on the other and am able to wear these without my orthotics. Great shoe and great support. Usually I have to get a 4E in NB because of the way the toe box is made; not with the one! No wide size needed.

Good for fitness walking -
I used to use orthotics, but not anymore! I wear these shoes for fitness walking, and they are wonderful. I have a low arch but it is also fairly weak, so I have to have lots of support. The arch rocker isn't something I can tolerate all day (I use the 104 for all-day comfort). But it is very supportive and keeps my arches from getting tired during exercise. They do fit a bit narrow in the toe (I had to find a wide width elsewhere), and you should plan on at least a week of break-in. After that the leather gets really supple and is comfortable.

I don't even feel my feet hitting the ground -- must be the magic of the Arch Rocker. They're so quiet too. I'm not experienced with athletic shoes and their fit, so I'll just say that my usual size of 8M is a snug fit. No side-to-side slipping, no heels lifting up -- it's like they're molded to my feet and it feels great. I'm thrilled with my Avia’s!

I bought wide width because regular width was not available. Fit is very comfortable. There was some of the leather poking at first on the left side, but not enough to send them back. They are very soft and very light.

I am an avid tennis player and I purchased these sneakers specifically for playing tennis on hard court. Good tennis shoes are hard to find, but I discovered these sneakers approximately 10 years ago and have been wearing nothing other than AVIA for tennis because they are light weight, attractive, conform to my feet after wearing them a couple of times, and give me good mobility on the courts. The soles wear pretty quickly, but then again, I play tennis 3 to 5 times a week. I don't know what I will do if these shoes were ever discontinued because I've tried other hard court shoes, and they are too heavy for my feet (makes me feel weighed down), but AVIAs are as light as a slipper, yet give me good support!
