Nice jacket seems to repel water, nice weight, good use and placement of pockets. It's somewhat cut oddly, and a bit tapered at the shoulders and bells outward. I'm getting used to this.

This seems like a very nice jacket. It was just a little too stiff for my son's liking and more just an outdoor jacket than to wear around indoor as well as out.

The jacket was perfect for any severe conditions, take the best fit of you which gives u stylish look too. My delivery took 5 days that was little bit disappointed!

Got this as a winter coat because the description describes the ClimatePro ideal for cold winters. I like the style and comfort of it, but it does not keep you warm from the northern Michigan weather. You need to layer up to keep warm. I usually wear a large and you get some room for a sweater to help. The sizing is definitely off, I am average build person 5'9", 165lbs and the medium size TNF fits you is a very tight fit with no room for layering. I also have a medium coat and it fits very tight and the coat hugs the body and it makes you feel the cold in the winter even though TNF says it is windproof. Go for a large and it doesn't look too big, it is just right with some room for movement. The medium was just too stiff.

Great new jacket and design, tricky on fit however. I am 6'4 with a slender-ish build (16.5, 35) and XL fit me like a poncho. L was a better, more modern fit, but the arms are very tight and too short for what was expected on a normal Large fit. Will stick with this jacket, hoping it will begin to stretch out in certain areas over time.

The sizing is too frumpy and large. I recommend going 1 size down. The MSRP for these are way too much, as you can get a comparable soft shell from Costco, Columbia, or other quality brands for a fraction of the cost of TNF.
I'd also recommend:

This is a really overpriced softshell jacket that is the same material/design as most competing softshells from Columbia and other brands (like my Craghopper). The shell isn't totally water repellent, and it is mostly wind resistant. But the fleece material isn't good under 50F, as you will want an insulating layer or two.
The fit is where I have to deduct a lot of points. I normally wear Medium, and this in Medium fits my arms and shoulder perfectly. However, it is about 0.5" to 1" too short and the mid-section is fit for someone that has more weight in their torso. I'm 6'2" 155 lb and in an athletic build. This jacket sort of just drapes over my chest and shoulder muscles like the Niagra falls...
Overall: 3/5 stars
Overpriced, unflattering fit, nothing makes this special over a competing design for half the price
I'd also recommend:
Columbia, Outdoor Research

Extremely stiff fabric. As always with North Face, great quality if that feature doesn't matter.

Great jacket in a great color, but not a great fit. The medium was too tight in my boyfriend's shoulders and the large was much too bulky in the torso/around his waist. Bummer for guys that are right in between sizes!

This is just an average soft shell jacket, but is cut too short. I'd go up at least 1 size for proper length, but then it just feels baggy. Costco has a comparable soft shell for fraction of the price.
