classic shoe back again - My husband and I were so happy to see these shoes make a return appearance. We both owned a pair in the 70's. Comfort and durability unsurpassed. In fact, if you wear out the soles, I believe you can return them to Clarks for a new sole. Great shoe. Good for a high arch.

One of the best- I was amazed to find this brand on the website. I’m from Puerto Rico and have been living in the states for 3 years and did not find this brand until now. I have been a Clarks user for many years now and it is great to see the quality of shoes they still offer. Whether it is for the looks or the comfort you can always count on Clarks shoes to meet your standards.

Sickest shoe ever!!! Pretty much the chillest shoe of all time. Gum soles are totally stealthy.

Love my Treks! I absolutely love these shoes, I was in high school when they first came out and remember buying a pair and loving them then. As with most things, you find something you love and then suddenly it becomes virtually impossible to find ever again. Thanks to Zappos here I am 33 years later wearing the Treks I love. If that weren't enough your service is beyond awesome...I ordered them and received them the very next day only to find out I ordered the wrong size, I called and was told no problem just return them we'll get the right size out to you, the very next day I was wearing the correct size. Wow! Most times when you return/exchange something it takes weeks but, not with Zappos, they are the epitome of customer service. Thanks folks.

You're gonna love 'em - This shoe is so comfortable! You know the feeling when you go to bed after a long, hard day and actually feel how comfy and cozy your bed is? It's like that for your foot when you put these on. We bought one pair of them and are now unstoppable Clarks-buyers.

My Clarks I purchased years ago finally gave out. Ordered these and were surprised how snug (uncomfortable) they were, particularly since my experience with Clarks in the past is that they ran large. I ordered an 11. An 11.5 would have been better. I have to decide now whether I should keep wearing them in the hopes that they stretch, or try to sell them somewhere as "hardly used."

Bought these for my son at Christmas. He picked them out. They looked great. However, when he tried them on, they made a odd, noisy sound when taking a step. Some odd leather/rubber sole "thwap". So, they are going back.

A bit more narrow than expected throughout the shoe, but they are leather with no plastic toe stiffeners or anything so they should stretch to fit nicely.

The sizing on the these Clarks (Desert Treks) are so inconsistent. I bought the same shoe in a different color, same size and it feels great. The Black ones are tighter. Good luck finding your size. The black to me is more true to size.

These shoes are very comfortable the style might not show on the picture but what really surprised me was the big stand out in the middle. Other than that overall the shoe is a must-have if you're looking for comfort style room and sleekness! I rate it 8/10!

These aren't like the Treks I had in 1975. The biggest difference is the sole, I remember the old ones being thicker. The walk was more comfortable in the old ones. These ones feel hard. I'm debating on returning them for Wallabees.

Very comfortable and well made. I agree with other reviewers who noted that these will stretch. At first they felt pretty true to size, but within a couple days they loosened up. I may have been able to go with a half-size smaller, but it's not like they stretched so much that I can't stand them. For such a well-made shoe, the laces seem not to be very durable. Overall, I'm quite pleased.

Great shoe, much better with added insole - Great looking shoe and comfortable in a lot of way (very soft on the step), but no comfort for the heel for me. A lot of heel slipping and basically felt lit i was on an incline... I add an insole and it is now the most comfortable shoe ive ever owned. I got the brown suede which is a bit light in color but i sprayed it with a weather protector spray and it has darkened perfectly. Great looking shoe and comfortable in a lot of ways (very soft on the step), but no comfort in the heel for me. A lot of heel slipping and basically felt like I was on an incline. I add an insole and it is now the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned. Good shoe to go to the grocery store, or travel - Pretty light weight, excellent on the plane...this is what I call a casual shoe...kinda hippie look, but I don't mind since I don't have hair anymore...

Clarks has always been my favorite but this style fits half size smaller.

Fit good but were so ugly I had to return them.

These were my beloved shoe from when they came out in the 1970's and were still made in England. I had MANY pairs. I decided to try them again. I wear a 10M and had to return and exchange for a 10.5Mens US. They now run a bit small. I will need to add an arch support because they are fairly flat, but comfort is very good and will improve over wear-time. One Caveat: Quality of this shoe is GREATLY diminished from the "original". The leather is fair and the beeswax finish seems more "surface" than actually tanned. Still a great shoe but I pine for one made in England with quality leather...

One word...stiff...I guess they would break in and become more comfortable but, I didn't wait to see. Sent them back.

I had a pair of these in 1976, they were a low cut & the sole was a lot softer. These are tough on my feet due to the lack of arch support. I'm going to return them.

Left shoe made a constant crinkling sound when bending while walking. Otherwise liked the shoes. Going to exchange and hope next pair does not do this.
