This is the fourth pair of these desert treks I've had the last 15-20 years. They are just great casual walking shoes. These are the shoes that you can wear the soles out of before the uppers even start to look bad. And the cost to replace the soles is minimal. These are my go-to walking shoes and have been from Florida to Alaska and Norway to Portugal. I'm sorry one or two people in these reviews thought they looked ugly. I've never had anything but complements. Clarks just makes awesome shoes. And Zappos is just the best place to buy them.

Using suggested measurements, this was one full size too big, read LONG, too long. Width was nice and spacious for a normal width, but aging foot. I'm sad that I have to return these for size. I love the wrinkly nubuck leather: it is thick, soft and supple. I'm a popular size. No other options are available (sold out) in a size that will fit me, so I'm really disappointed that I can't get a replacement for this shoe.

WELL, TIME HAS CHANGED THINGS, I HAD A PAIR OF THESE BACK IN 1962 OR SO.........LOVED THEM, WORE THEM TIL THEY WERE LOVINGLY GONE! SO, THOUGHT I WOULD ORDER A PAIR......BUT, NOW HAVE A BRACE ON RIGHT LEG & COULD NOT EVEN GET THEM ON!! SO SAD AS THESE SHOES ONLY GET BETTER WITH WEAR!! REGRETFULLY, I RETURNED THEM.

Not sure I can give an accurate review after just receiving the shoes, but wanted to comment on fit. I was on the fence on whether I should return them or not. I feel like the size is accurate, but my feet might be a tad wide for these shoes. They are a little bit tight when I put the shoes on. Once on, they feel good, but on the tighter side. I decided to keep them as I don't think a bigger size would help. They don't come in a wider size otherwise I would return them for those. Overall, I like them and hope after breakin they loosen up a bit. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone with really wide feet.

Great shoe! They run true to size. The toe box is perfect for a comfort fit around the toes. The leather is slightly stiff right away but breaks in quickly.

Amazing shoes. Don’t be discouraged if they are a bit stiff at first, they are made of leather. Once you wear them they will soften up and mold to your feet. These shoes have surprised me on how comfortable they are. My go to shoes. Worth the money.

These are my husband's favorite Clarks shoes. They are comfortable and stylish enough to wear to work everyday.

Old school. I have had these for about two years now. I almost never give a review, but read them all the time. I thought that I would let you know how much I like the shoes. They fit great, I am an 11½D. They are true to size for me. I did add some neon orange lases on them for a little flair. I always use a good water proofing paste before I use these kind of shoes. I live in Minnesota and they are great in snow and slush. They look good and are well made. I am happy, you will be too.

Shoes are very stylish and comfortable. They work well with business casual and on the weekends. Only complaint would be the sole gets pretty dirty.

Love these shoes. On my third pair over 7 years. Use them for work. Change colors over time and wear well.

A true classic, my regular size, 11 1/2, medium, fits just great. Love the old school look and after two outings they are broken in just fine. Did upgrade to bright orange shoe laces.

Beautifully made. Looks great dressed up or down. Hope to add more colors over time. I generally wear a 12.5- 13 and I got these in a 12 because my experience with Clarks is that they are a little wider than average. For example, my go-to shoe is slip-on Vans which are comfortable in a 13, but in these a 12 is just as comfortable. The width of the toe box and the minimalist sole allows my toes to spread for a natural step. I have extremely high arches, but avoid arched shoes as that weakens your arches and makes you more prone to foot and ankle injuries and plantar faciitis. These Clarks have pretty minimal arches that are imperceptible to me.

These are among my all-time favorite shoes. I've had my first pair (in the brown suede color) for going on 3 years, and they are still going strong. The sole holds up so well, and the stitching and construction is really solid. I used to baby them, but in actuality they do pretty good in the rain (but the sole can get slippery). They look great as a casual shoe and can be dressed up for business casual outfits too. I used to wear them to work everyday and still wear them on the weekends. And compliments galore. I've never owned a pair of shoes where I've received so many compliments from such a wide variety of people. It's rare to find a pair of shoes this good, which is why I'm ordering my second pair. Keep it up, Clarks!

This is my 3rd pair in 4 years. Other two are black suede and brown bees wax. Very comfortable and in my opinion uniquely stylish.

Couldn't be happier. Love the minimalist look of this shoe. My first impression was that the sole was a bit firmer than I usually prefer. My fears quickly faded after only a couple days with them. The contour of the sole is far beyond anything I've ever owned before. Despite feeling firm, they're extremely supportive and comfortable, even after hours on my feet. They're like the shoe equivalent of a Knoll chair.

Great shoe. Simple and well constructed. Slightly larger than expected but super comfortable. Not much arch support but still comfortable for me. Nice looking shoe for dress casual. The natural gum does start to get grimy on the bottom and around the edges. I have a feeling I'll be keeping these in the rotation for years to come.

I absolutely love the style of these shoes. They are casual and look great with jeans, yet could easily be worn with pants and a shirt to go out. They break in fast and are quite comfortable, and seem to be durable so far. They stretch a bit, so if they're a little tight at first don't worry.
