Received the boots today and I just couldn't wait to try them on. They were of a very thick leather, which I wasn't expecting but made the boot all the more sturdy-looking. I usually wear a size 6 but ordered 5.5 and it fits like a glove, even with a little room in the toe area. Very comfortable and I'm happy to have found such a great boot for this upcoming winter.

Timberland Lexis Tall Boot in Black - I love this pair of boots! I just got them and I can't stop wearing them. First of all, they are so comfortable, I feel like I am wearing tennis shoes. I have had so many compliments and girls literally stop me on the street to ask me where I got them! I have really small feet and really skinny calves, and they fit! Also, they are the perfect height, especially since I am only 5'3". I got them in black and they look great with skirts, dresses and jeans. Great boot and excellent customer service - This Timberland boot is a great choice--it is rugged and comfortable but still really stylish. I was looking for something cool and rustic (like a Frye boot) and I think this perfectly fits the bill without the high cost. I first ordered my regular size, but ended up having to return them for a full size smaller. In my opinion, this boot runs really large. When I got the proper size (thanks, Zappos, for the easy return process!) the boot was tight on my calves but quickly stretched out to where it's comfortable. They're a little wide at the top and didn't go up quite as high as I thought they would, but they still work under jeans and look great over them as well. Overall, I'm really happy with them and Zappos is by far the best place for online shoes.

Great boot for narrow feet and ankles and slim calves! Finally a boot that fits my narrow and low arched feet and slim calves and narrow ankles. My foot usually moves around in boots because of my low arch and it's difficult for me to find a tall boot that doesn't have a large gap around my calves. These good looking boots solve that problem for me, although I did tighten the top buckle one notch. Ideally for me, these could even be 1/4 to 1/2 inch narrower around the circumference, but with the adjustment they fit quite well and look good. DO ORDER A 1/2 SIZE DOWN. I usually wear a 7.5 and sometimes an 8, but the 7 fit me perfectly with ample room in the length. (I can't remember the last time I wore a size 7.) I had also ordered a 7.5 which I returned--they were way too long and my heel slipped around in them. The size 7 fits like a glove, especially around the ankle, so the support is excellent. They look great with both jeans and skirts. I'm also petite in height--5'1--and the shaft of the boot is a good height for me. I have the Tan Tumbled color and they are a really nice. I usually don't like boots to be too light in color, but these are a pretty light brown/dark tan, not yellowish. I highly recommend these boots and even if you had a wider foot/ankle/calf than I do, the leather is very soft and I imagine they would stretch accordingly.

Love these boots! The sizing was great, color a little darker than viewed on my screen - but even better. I wore these boots for the first time for 14 hours straight and they were so comfortable. A happy purchase!

Love them but... I love the boots. They are very comfortable and look great but, there is one small problem. The snaps on the bottom come loose while walking. I'll have to take them to a shoe repair shop to get them fixed.

Love them...but - This boot is a beautiful shoe; however, I am personally a fan of a more rounded toe, these are not pointy as pointy boots go, but they are if you like no point at all. Also, they are VERY tight across the bridge of the foot, a problem that has gone away with constant wearing, however my pinky toe does still get the circulation cut off to it, but I haven't had them very long and they have already loosened up quite a bit, so I sure the problem will continue to get better. One problem that I couldn't fix was that the buckle across the ankle; doesn't stay on so I just removed it and never wear it on...maybe they should have double thought the snaps :) One great thing... they are waterproof... I walk six miles a day in complete comfort and no wet socks. I also had spinal surgery and need a boot with some cushion, and these are great, comfortable and rubber on the bottom of the soles, decreases impact on the spine. Long story short... I totally recommend these boots...if your foot is wide at all, get the wider width.

Good all-purpose boot - I really love these boots. I have wide-ish calves and narrower ankles, and these fit me well (the adjustable buckle at the top helps). I've had them for nearly a year now and they're great all-weather boots -- they're what I wear to walk two miles to work in New England rain and snow. The only problem I've had with these is that if I wear them too many days in a row (i.e., when it's really cold or snowy out!) they can get uncomfortable, but that's true of almost any shoe.

Good so far - I just got these today and I'm very pleased. They seem true to size and, perhaps, even a half size bigger. I have custom orthotics, so I got them a half size bigger to allow for that. The insole in these is easily removable, by the way. So, if you have a thin orthotic, you might not even need to go up a size at all.

Great boot - I had to try six different pairs of boots before I found these and they are just what I was looking for. I was a little worried that the contrast stitching would make them look cheap, but it looks fine. Other people have complained about the ankle buckle coming undone or being in the way of the zipper. I actually prefer the look of the boots without the ankle buckle and just took it off completely. (It has snaps on both sides.) The insole is removable, so you can use inserts if you want more cushioning or arch support. They fit perfectly, I generally wear a 7 or 7.5 or 38 Euro. I do find that it's a bit of a squeeze to get my foot into the boot, but once it's in, it feels great. I have slightly large calves as far as boots go and these fit just right. Snug, but not to the point where I can't zip them up. I plan on wearing these boots mostly with skirts this winter, but they would look great with jeans, too.

The other reviews were right on. These boots are a little stiff in the ankle at first, but break in pretty quickly. They are made of beautiful, yet rugged leather, great in Minnesota snow storms. The biggest drawback is that the strap at the ankle always falls off or comes unsnapped. Kinda a bummer in the snow if you lose it. I love them over jeans! (they do not work under jeans, too bulky)

Love them - These boots are just as pictured and fit true to size. They're very comfortable and I've gotten lots of compliments on them. Great boot for much less than other brands that look very similar.

Great Boots! I bought these boots for a trip up to Montana and couldn't have made a better choice. We did a lot of walking (not hiking) and my feet stayed warm and comfortable the whole time. My two favorite things about these boots are that they can dress up a casual outfit and that they have great traction! Now they are my favorite run around town boots and they are holding up so well! I wear a 7.5 so I ordered a 7.5 and they fit great.

These boots are hot! I've been on this quest for the perfect year round boots and these are it! The leather has a beautiful finish and I love that they are waterproof (I plan on waterproofing them before wearing them in the rain though… for some extra protection.) They felt a little snug across the top of the foot and around the ankle when I tried them on (with thin socks), but I'm sure they will break in after a couple of wears. The only thing that would make these boots even better is if they were a little taller. I'm 5'9 and they come up to about 3 inches below my knee, but I guess that’s gonna keep my legs cool when I wear these in the spring and summer... already thinking of the outfit possibilities.

The best boot ever - Extremely comfy and also very funky. I have really bad feet and it is so great to find this boot. I have it in black, tan and the combo!

Great boot - as promised - Fit as per the size. Reviews above helped tremendously. Sturdy, funky boot. Totally outperforms the Frye boot. More bang for the buck.

Love Zappos - I was going on vacation and needed something I could do a lot of walking in (and still be cute), and these are PERFECT. I love them. They're rugged in a stylish way and very comfortable. I'll wear these with dresses during the day and use the same dresses and high heels at night. These will help my wardrobe go further, not as much packing.

A lot like my Frye boots from the 70's - These boots are nice looking and have a great fit. The black distressed leather is beautiful, not like many I've seen. They are very comfortable and they feel "meant for me".

ANY VIEWS ON HOW MUCH THESE WILL STRETCH? I am an absolute boot snob and am so chuffed to find a cool pair at such a reasonable price-bravo, Timberland! Anyway, I don’t think these come up big either-probably just about on the nose. I've ordered a 10 which is a bit snug across the toes (and I've got narrow feet-maybe a "B" width) and an 11 which is a little roomy right from the start (slight heel slippage-stupid thin heels of mine). Not sure which to keep due to earlier comments on them stretching easily, but just wondering WHERE they tend to stretch... FAR TOO COOL to send both back so any views out there on the how much and how quickly these boots stretched would be greatly appreciated! Wish less boot manufacturers would skip size 10.5...As if us big footed birds don’t have enough to contend with already!

Gorgeous boot - but not for BIG calves - Gorgeous boot - I really REALLY want to keep it - But my legs are on the chunky side and they won’t fit up my calves - so I don’t know how accurate the 15in circumference is - since they should zip...Also, these seem to run short in the toe area and run slightly small - I rarely ever need to go to an 8 but in these I would in order to accommodate my foot...of course maybe the calf would be bigger too...so perhaps I’ll just reorder in the 8.

Glad I bought these - These are great with jeans tucked in. "Everyday cool"-they don't scream "Look, I'm wearing boots!" which I like. Comfortable wearing them right out of the box. The lining is cotton canvas which feels comfy and breathable. My feet are size 11 and a little on the narrow side, and I don't have wide calves. Which works because these boots run a little narrow. It seems from other reviews they stretch out over time? Plenty of toe room. The left boot has a little stiffness around the ankle and inside of shoe which feels like it will break in soon.

Great boot at a great price. This boot looks identical to a Frye boot that comes at twice the price. The leather is substantial and soft. The footbed is comfortable and the look is that of a feminine biker boot, at home with jeans or skirts. The fit is NOT large at all as so many reviews point out. In my opinion it is true to perhaps even a touch small. I'm a solid 8.5 when shoes come in half sizes and a 9 when they only come in whole sizes. I ordered both the 8.5 and the 9. To tell you the truth, the 8.5 fit perfectly although a touch narrow at the ball of the foot. The 9, while a touch bigger, still fit my foot and there was more room at the ball of the foot (this boot is NOT for wide feet). In addition, the shaft fit perfectly snug on my calves which are neither skinny nor chunky. I'm keeping the 8.5 and hoping that the width stretches a bit with wear (these boots are not the least bit long in the toe as other reviews have stated). The only thing I don't like is the instep strap which has to be unsnapped/resnapped every time you put on/take off the boot (otherwise the zipper doesn't go down all the way and you can't get the boot on or off). This is a total pain. You can swing the strap around and wear it across the back of your heel if you don't want to bother with this but I personally much prefer the look of the strap in the front of the boot). Order your normal size!!
