Love these - This is a great shoe - the comfort and support of a Birkenstock meets the style of... well, anything better than Birkenstock. Great looking shoe. This is my second pair because the first pair wore out in less than a year. The leather seems to be sturdier in the new pair. The shoe also seems narrower than it used to and required more adjustment than the first pair I had. Well worth it.

Better than I expected - I opened the box put them on and have been in love with these boots ever since. They are wonderful. I am on my feet all the time and have heel issues and it's rare for me to find a boot that is so cute and comfortable.

Learned a lot from this. Zappos, I am so grateful that you’ve been patient with me while I worked this out. See, the deal is that I have to wear orthotics because of a problem with plantar fasciitis. Orthotics is what keeps me off of crutches. And I’m fussy about comfort for the toes, heels, and ball of my foot, as well. So when I’ve seen a shoe brag about having an “anatomical footbed” able to conform to the shape of the foot, it has caught my attention. What I didn’t understand was that this anatomical footbed could not take the place of my custom orthotic, since my foot insists on pronating, and a cork-and-latex footbed does not have the rigidity to withstand that force. Also, I didn’t realize that you can’t use your custom orthotic on top of the anatomical footbed, because the footbed will skew the alignment of your orthotic and make the whole rest of the shoe go off-kilter, making it hurt in strange places. So I tried using the orthotic without the anatomical footbed, and missed out on about 80% of the comfort factor. Yes, I could wear heavy socks, but that’s still missing the point of what these shoes are all about. Now, I had had to wear these shoes outside—briefly, to deliver my car keys to a buyer and show her how to work the lights, pop the trunk, all that good stuff—but outside it was, and that’s against the rules for Zappos returns, so I figured I was stuck with the purchase. OK, says I, since I own ‘em, I get to modify ‘em. So I took a scissors to the footbed and cut away everything covered by the orthotic, leaving the forward part of the foot-molding cork-and-latex to cushion my toes and the balls of my feet. Hey, guess what? It works. Sort of. So I’m about 80% happy with this purchase, but I’m not going to mutilate the Kumara pair I bought in my pre-enlightened enthusiasm. Those are going back. Sorry, Zappos. And thank you.

So cute, but narrow - I am giving this boot 5 stars across the board because they would be perfect except for my wide foot; they are too narrow. I wear a 39 in my Naot shoes so ordered a 40 and they are still too narrow. Listen to the warning from Zappos...this collection runs narrow! They are adorable and have the great support that other Naots have, but sadly I must return them.

Doesn’t even feel like I have shoes on - This fall boot has such great arch support and is so comfortable I don't even feel like I have shoes on. I could wear them every day. Naots are usually dependable, high quality and worth the big bucks.

Love these boots! Really cute and funky boot, well made with some of the best arch support I personally have ever had in a pair of shoes. True to size, I ordered a 7 and it feels like a perfect 7, the width is perfect too. They seem to be very comfortable and well made too, so happy I found them and now own some of these cool boots!

Great Boot - I have short wide feet and have a very difficult time finding comfortable shoes that fit well. These shoes fit great and look great. I am on my feet 7 hours out of my 8 hour day; my feet do not hurt at the end of the day when I wear the Noat shoe. Comparable to Dansko.

Just about perfect! I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes and boots, and this one was comfortable right away. The arch support is excellent, and the heel does not shift my weight toward the front of my foot because the shoe is relatively flat. It even makes me a bit taller. I'm tempted to order it in another color. Excellent looks and comfort!

Great shoes, very comfortable. I find that European sizes are a half size larger than American equivalent. A thick pair of socks compensates or, in my case, the Good Feet inserts that I must use. If I had less problematic feet (i.e. normal), I imagine these would be amazingly comfortable.

I have these in dark green (discontinued color). I ordered my usual Naot size 40 (have lots of other pairs) but find they are a little snug so I will need to wear very thin socks. I hope they stretch out a little bit with wear. The arch support is wonderful, and no squeak yet.

First Naot shoe/boot to give me any problems. I have worn many Naot shoes and this is the first pair to cause me any problems. I really like the support of all the other Naot shoes I have bought. This one pair seems to have the spine broken in the left boot. Otherwise, these boots are great.

Got flat feet and sensitive soles? ...Then this is the boot for you. I have very flat feet and too-thin "fat pads" on the soles of my feet. I live in my Saucony running shoes. So I was desperate for a classy boot with serious arch support, shock absorption and absorbent suede sole...for a two-week winter trip to Italy. It was one of the best purchases I've ever made. These boots comfortably withstood 4-6 hours/day of walking and standing on hard, uneven pavement (and marble stairs!) in Rome and Naples, without chafing or blisters at the end of the day. The soles also had "grip" and did not skid on wet surfaces. They were also fairly water resistant. If only this version of the sole/footbed came in a knee-high tall design, it would have been perfect -- I would have preferred tall boots. Also, these boots were a bit large for me since I had to order up to the nearest whole size (I'm a 7 ½ usually). Originally, I ordered a 36, but ended up with a 37. I bridged the problem with thicker socks. I've received many compliments (by both Americans and Italians) on both the design and decorative stitching on the exterior (I have the black leather with white stitching). I recommend this to any woman who needs a cushioned orthopedic foot bed (that molds to your foot shape) combined with sleek style.

Cute boot -- great arch support - These boots are unique and very comfortable. The arch support is really a benefit. I wish they were available in half sizes -- I think it could fit a little more snuggly, but with winter socks it will be OK. I have the black and love the stitching.

Strange sizing - I usually wear a 6 ½ or 7, so I ordered a 38 because it said that was a US 7, but it was about a full size too long. They felt comfortable and I would have tried a smaller size, but I didn't think they were cute enough to warrant the price. They looked better in the photo. The toe turns up like an elf shoe and the heel protrudes more than usual. Just kind of odd looking on the foot.

Fashionable and comfortable! Who knew you could get fashion and comfort all in one? I haven't walked very far yet in these shoes, but I'm confident I won’t have any trouble doing so. I bought these because my last pair of black, ankle high boots finally saw their last days. And since those aren't available anymore, I went on a quest for a new pair. The look of these really caught my eye and based on the reviews here, I was sold! I did purchase both size 5 (36) and 6 (37). I normally wear size 6. My only gripe is that neither truly fit me perfectly. The size 5 actually felt more comfortable overall in terms of width and in the heel, however it wasn't long enough! My toes hit the front. So I was forced to keep size 6, which is perfect for length, but now overall, the shoe is a bit "baggy" on me. My solution is to wear thicker socks. On my first day of wearing these out, I already got compliments!

Nice looking boot - This boot is NOT true to size. I wear orthotics and always order a size too big. I ended up ordering three pairs of this boot because that size and my normal size were still too big, even with the orthotic! I like the smaller size and the boot is pretty comfortable.

These shoes were indeed supportive and comfortable as many reviews said. However what I didn't like was that largely because of the seam across the toe box, they look too much like "old lady" boots, or rainboots. I didn't feel it was worth spending so much money if they didn't look more contemporary, so I sadly returned them.

Nice boots that sadly did not fit. I wear a size 11 and they were long enough, but too narrow for me although other Naots fit. Naot is my new favorite shoe. Another review described these boots as "fitting like a glove,"- a very tight glove! I found the width but also the height in the shoe itself kind of squished my foot in an uncomfortable way-back to Zappos they go and am still looking for a new pair of boots.

I loved how this fits in the foot, but the ankle was so tight that I could not up raise the zipper, so return them I did.

Expansive for squeaky shoes - I liked these boots and they are very comfortable but after awhile they began to squeak as I walked. I echo the thoughts of a previous reviewer, when you pay a good chunk for shoes they really shouldn't squeak.

I love these boots in almost every way - looks, fit, comfort - and have walked many miles in them while traveling. They are great for work and for casual wear. However, I am very disappointed to be looking for new boots after having spent a fair amount of money on these, and only having them a year or two. The reason? One of them has developed a very loud squeak. I am tired of being embarrassed by this noise, particularly in a work environment. Not acceptable, and I won't be buying other Naot boots as a result.
