This boot meets all my needs. I like the style, they keep my feet warm and are comfortable. This boot would be perfect if it were a pull-on instead of a lace-up.

Liked the look of this boot and softness of lining and cuff. Alas, they were too snug and rigid through the forefoot for me (I am usually a 7.5 M), making my feet feel quite uncomfortably squashed within a few minutes of putting them on. Length seemed okay, though, and fit through ankle and calf was good. I wish they had fit better! Will return them.

Great boot. Looks nice and kept my feet warm and dry after a day of tubing with the kids. The only problem is that the laces pop out of the hook at the top. Not sure why this kept happening, but it\'s a bummer to remove gloves to keep retying them when it\'s freezing out.

These are great winter boots. I recently purchased them for my first winter in Boston and so far they're wonderful. They are a tad bulky, but that's what I always expect from a good quality winter boot. The heaviness of the boot doesn't bother me at all. They are comfy and keep my feet warm and dry when walking in the slushy snow. They also have good traction when walking on slippery pavement. When I first wore them laced all the way up through the top lace holes, they got a little bit sore on my ankles after walking for a while in them. But it wasn't anything too painful to really complain about. Although, after that incident I have been wearing them laced up to the second to last lace hole (the way they come when you first purchase them), and they haven't caused any discomfort at all. Overall, if you're looking for a winter boot, I totally recommend The North Face's McMurdo Boots.

North Face functional not fashion - These boots are a necessary evil for me. I need them to blow snow out of my driveway, shovel snow and to walk in heavy snow. The top lace does pop out of the eyelet and that's my only complaint. I would have gotten the slip on style from North Face but the opening was too big and would allow snow to fall in.

Great BOOT! Had to send back due to tightness - This is a great boot and believe had I the right size would have been perfect. I was on a time crunch to get the right boot for Europe. Was small.

Good boot - The cuffs are a bit stiff for walking right out of the box. Otherwise, no complaints. Have yet to use for snowshoeing, but expect good performance there as well.

Pretty decent - This boot did its job at keeping my feet warm and dry, however they were a bit heavy, and because of that they caused a bit of an irritation at the front lower part of my shins near the ankles. They would be perfect if they were not so heavy on the feet.

Fun, sturdy shoe - This shoe is a good looking shoe, particularly with jeans. It is extremely comfortable, and great to wear in the ice and the snow.

I liked the looks, but need to return them because they're too tight around the instep or forefoot (I ordered size 7 and I'm a size 7), so recommend ordering a half to a whole size larger, depending on thickness of socks you like. Also, the boot is stiffer than I wanted for long dog walks at ski areas, but may be fine for others. They did seem nice and warm, but I did not find them comfortable.

This is the first time I bought The North Face winter boots. They do keep your feet very warm. But I must say they do run a half size smaller, especially on the width. I am a size 5 to a 5½ and I ordered a size 6 which i had to return.

Love the fit and style. Disappointed that these boots to not keep my toes warm enough when outside for longer periods of time.

Toes still cold! These are such nice looking boots so I was pretty bummed out that my toes were cold when I was outside at a skating party. I had wool socks on, too. I am still on the search for a decent looking boot that keeps you warm and dry. Very stiff, too, around the top; I felt like I had on ski boots.

Loved these at first - warm, great traction, comfortable; but less than one year later and the rubber is detaching from the toe, allowing water in.

Too narrow! Oh my gosh! Way too narrow through the toe box. Definitely better suited for a narrow foot. I wish they would have worked out; I need a good, warm winter boot for all the snow we just received! I also think they look less bulky in the picture than in person for some reason. I thought they looked rather masculine in person. In the box they go to get returned. My search continues.
