Rieker stretch boot - Well y'all I'm trying to love this boot. It is just that toe thing. Way too long as one previous reviewer said, and then there's that black patch on the toe of the brown boot. Otherwise I like the stretch for my meaty calves and they're comfortable. Color's good, heel's good, everything's good except that toe thing. So I'm dithering...

Great boots for wide calves - A really great boot for women with large calves! It actually fits. I get compliments on these all the time. I wouldn't wear them for lots of walking since they're not super cushiony, but great for work.

This boot is plenty wide for my thicker calves - the top stretches well & actually slumps down a bit. I like the vertical welts and the contrast toe. Wish it was flat, w/no heel. Prefer a plainer boot in better leather, but am limited by my calves...no luck w/the 30 or so others I tried. So, it’s a good boot for this winter. Purchased in black & brown.

This boot is great for anyone with a wide leg! They stretch beautifully! However, they definitely run large. I got a size 8 instead of a nine and they are perfect. Be aware that the warm lining does get a bit itchy when you are warm, and that the very tip of the toe on the black shoe is actually brown. All in all, a great fit for wide legs!

Expected better from a German company - These boots have an appealing modern design, but they feel insubstantial in person. The uppers are very thin; really don't look like leather, and the stitching at the top looks cheap. I'm on my feet all day at work and there wasn't enough support here. The toe box is quite narrow, and since they're not leather, I can't hope to break them in. So alas, I have to fork over for the better quality of Pliner's Naos2. Same heel height, better materials. My feet deserve it!

Comfy, but not for long walks, and don't breathe very well - I've had these a year and still really like the style and comfort of the boot, only as other reviewers said, there isn't much cushioning for the ball of the foot so I wouldn't recommend them for long walks. Also, they don't breathe very well, probably because they're synthetic, so could stand some freshening up. I went with the sizing recommendation and got a 39 for my US 8.5 feet, and it's just right - fit my calf (which I would call average) perfectly.

The height of the boot was much lower than I anticipated. I'm short - and it still was several inches below my knee.

Perfect fit and styling except for ridiculously long toe box - Clown feet anyone? Loved the way these pull-on boots looked and felt but they have a ridiculously long toe box. Nice tall uppers where most boots usually fall short. Supple leather shapes to your legs and feet but so thin might not keep your legs warm in winter.

Look different in actuality - I like the look of these boots with the twin stitching down the center to the toe. But on the brown boot the black toe patch is definitely too dark a contrast. I didn't like this look.

Disappointing - Way too long of a toe box - made my foot look really big. Top of the boot was really tight on my 17" calves and the ankle was baggy. I think the heel is too low to make this look work.
