Sizing - When I tried this boot in size 38, I was afraid that it fit TOO well in the store and that it might be too tight after I actually wore it on the street. So, I purchased the 39's. It was a mistake, as the boot stretches very easily and it is too big. I will wear thicker socks and hope that solves the problem.

Great boots - I've been looking for stylish boots that fit my wide calves, and I've finally found them. These boots are comfortable, stretch to fit the calves, and don't slide down to make unattractive folds around the ankles. They're great!

Great Boot for Wide Calves - Fun and stylish boots for gals with big calves. I was worried about a pull up boot, but had no trouble getting my size 38 boot up over my 17" calves. I agree that the boot runs large and was glad I ordered a size smaller than normal. Finally, a chic fitted boot for large-calved women! Yeah, Rieker!!

Stylish Boots for Ample Legs - I bought these boots after returning home from a trip to Italy where no boot would zip and/or fit over my calves. I was drooling over all the beautiful Italian leather boots. Thus, when I returned home I went to Zappos. These boots are made of stretch leather and fit perfectly. I have a large foot and have difficulty finding a good fit. The size 42 gives me good toe room and my orthotics even fit in them.

Best Boot Ever - So stylish and COMFORTABLE!! They are roomy enough to wear socks, but soft enough not to need them. Perfect fit all around. Can walk for hours in them and feel 100%.

Comfy boots - The leather on these boots is thin and quite shiny, which makes them looks a bit on the cheap side. They also have a reddish brown triangle inlay in the tip that is not visible in the picture. I still like them though. These boots are truly comfortable. The first time I wore them was on a long plane trip, and I had no blisters or anything. It also suits me that they are not too warm, and I find that they go great with skirts because of the stretchy shaft. They are on the skinny side though so if you have big calves they might not fit you. The sizes are European, which might be confusing. I wear a European size 39, which equals a U.S. size 8.5-9. I ordered a 9, and they fit well. They might be a tiny bit big but I don't mind that.

Looks great, fits great, could use more padding on sole - I am very happy with the boots. I walked a lot in them the first day I wore them and they fit perfectly, no blisters, soft leather. The only issue was that because I was walking on concrete (San Fran), the balls of my feet got very sore. This is a problem I have with most shoes. I've worn them since with a normal day's walking and no problems.

Love these boots! I just received these boots in both brown and black and I love them! They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I love that on the end of the toe they have a contrasting color (black for brown and brown for black). Very subtle but a nice touch. I'm a size 10 and a size 41 fit perfectly!

Comfortable and stylish - Great for those who need room in the calf. Wasn't sure I would like the contrasting color on the toe, but it makes it more stylish. Cut is a little narrow, but runs big and that takes care of it.

Great boot! This boot does run large. I first ordered the "correct" size and it was huge - ordered a full size smaller and its fine, probably should have done a 1/2 size smaller instead, but I wanted to wear them! They fit my larger calves great and are pretty comfortable - not a lot of support - but good enough to get through a day at the office! Very cute boots! Thank you Zappos!!

Rieker boot - These are the most comfortable boots! As soon as I tried them on I was in love with them. I haven't worn them yet, but I am confident that they will be comfortable all day at school. I am a teacher and am on my feet most of the day. They fit perfectly and I feel like I have slippers on, they are so comfortable. They look great on and I am thinking of buying another pair in a different color.

Riekers! VERY comfortable!!! These are great boots size 41 = size 10. Very nice very comfortable. Fit wider calf.

Very elegant. I will order another pair in different color. I ordered size 10 which was European size 42, but it fit my size 12. But, this is true just for this particular model. I tried other Rieker shoes size 42, and it was size 10. Be aware this model size 10 is really 12!

Black boots have brown toes? I did not realize the toes on the black boots have a contrasting brown toe; the little pointed patch on the tip is brown! They fit fine but this wasn't the look I expected... I'm a little concerned people will think I stepped in something!

I have these same boots in brown--bought those first and loved them so much I wanted the black as well. Well the black fits differently-they are bigger in the foot area and tighter in the calf area. I still like them but am disappointed in the fit. The brown are a score of 5 across the board.

Pretty good - Overall, it’s a good boot. Comfortable footbed--I've worn them probably 5 days so far to work, walking several blocks to and from work in an urban area--they feel great. They are pull-ons, which I haven't worn before. I was worried they wouldn't fit over my larger calf, but absolutely no problem there. B/c of the thin leather to be pliable enough to slip on, the result is a slim profile. The negative to that is that they seem to slouch a bit. Even w/ the slouching though, still a stylish cut to the boot. The only other negative is that I wish the tip of the boot was black like the rest of the shoe--it is a dark brown which I didn't realize when I ordered them. But it isn't too distracting, and b/c they were hands down the most comfortable of all 5 boots I ordered (including Borns and Naturalizer’s), I decided to keep them.

Elegant! The best thing about this boot is how lightweight it is--no "drag" on the legs, due to the thin stretch shaft. There ain't much footbed padding, so the walkability factor remains to be seen, but they're probably OK for all-day "dress" wear (i.e., office) or going out at night. Ideally, the heel would be about half an inch lower for my knees' sake, but folks who can normally tolerate higher-than-flats should be just fine. The contrasting color on the toes (brown, on the black version) isn't ideal either, but it's hardly noticeable. Definitely follow the Zappos/Rieker sizing advice here; I'm a 38 in this brand and the 37 fits pretty near perfect.

First time buyer - I was pleased with this purchase. Order came very quickly and I could put them on right after opening them and very comfortable fit. I will look into Zappos before going any where else for my next shoe purchase. I usually wear between a 71/2 and an 8 regular, lately. The boots were a size 38.

Comfy boot for work - I work in retail and this boot is great! Comfortable, not too high- perfect for someone on their feet all day!! Stretch is also good- I have very muscular calves and have hard time with boots that zip- these work good.

I like these boots - They fit nicely in my size. I've got a high arch and slightly wide feet. I gave them 4 stars because I've not worn them for hours yet, but first impressions ate great :)

Good Boot! Couldn't be more comfortable! I just wish they were a little taller on my leg but I love the boot, got them in black and brown!

Very comfortable and they look good! These are great boots, especially if you have slightly larger calves. They're comfortable and hug the calf so that it almost feels like a massage. I definitely recommend these!

It's a Love/Hate Relationship - I've had these for a year and I absolutely love the style of them. I've had a hard time finding boots with a low or no heel, so I was thrilled to find these. My dislike for them is the size. I've bought several pairs of European shoes and have never had a problem with my size, but these are definitely a full size larger than the size marked. I wear two pairs of thick socks just to make them work! Ah, but they do look good!

I really like this boot - it's stylish and fits well. It doesn't have very good ankle support, so if you need that, then don't rely on these boots. Overall, glad I bought them!
