These are absolutely the best boots I've ever owned (and I'm a boot-a-holic). Super stylish, comfortable, and well-made. These boots were made for walkin'.

So, these boots were supposed to be a Christmas present. When they arrived after Thanksgiving, I decided to make sure they would fit so I could send them back if need be. After trying them on, I just couldn't make myself take them off! I loved these boots so much that I couldn't wait until Christmas to have them. I've worn them every day since they came in! I ran for five years and now have what I would like to call "monster calves." I thought I would need the extended calf boots, but these fit perfectly fine! I have no complaints whatsoever. These boots are pure perfection.

These are my favorite boots. They are so cute. I have had them for almost three months and the slouchiness of boots is starting to come though. The quality of the boots is nice.

If you're looking for well made casual boots to wear with skinny jeans, the Veronica Slouch look absolutely amazing! I started getting compliments on them the very first time I wore them out. I ordered them in black calf shine vintage and I'm so happy with the color. It looks just slightly lighter in person than in the picture. The photo looks black, but when you see them they're more like a slightly distressed bomber jacket -very cool. The fit was a bit of a concern at first. Like some others who have reviewed these, I found the heels too loose so my heels lifted and rubbed when I walked, yet the toe box felt a bit cramped and tight. I'm a 9.5, but since my feet are wide I sometimes go up to a 10, so I had ordered both to see which would work. I was swimming in the 10's though so I went with my true size, 9.5. I was really worried I would get a blister from my heel rubbing up and down when I walked, but so far I've worn them with thick socks and it's been fine. I addressed the tight toe box by wearing them in the house with really thick socks for an hour a day. In a few days they had loosened up a ton in the width and were perfect. When you try them on at first, make sure to loosen the strap across the top of your foot to make it easier to put them on. It will feel like you'll never get your foot down into the boot, but you will (even the 10's seemed impossible to get on and they were actually way too big). It helps to grab the back of the shaft of the boot at the top and middle and pull up on the back while pushing and working your foot down really hard. After a week it gets much easier to pull them on. These boots are pricey and it took me awhile to take the plunge, but I'm glad I did because they're just what I was looking for. Thank you Zappos!

These boots are fantastic. I love wearing them. I ordered them true to size. One foot takes a little encouragement to get past the bottom buckle area, but once in, it fits great. Any bigger and the foot bed would be too large. And, the area is already stretching. I got the taupe burnished antique and they are a stand-out in a crowd of boots! I like them with dresses and jeans.

Love, love, love these boots! Easy to dress up or down. Even better looking in person than pictured online.

Like another reviewer said, when you first open the box it smells wonderful. The leather is obviously high quality and beautiful. The shaft fits nicely over my jeans and the sole has some padding which was a nice surprise. I recommend these boots to anyone who wants good middle of the road boot. They aren't too equestrian or too biker and will go with a variety of outfits.

I'm not sure I can say anything different about these boots that hasn't been said other than buy them now. Yes, they're expensive, but they're going to last you the rest of your life. They are gorgeous, they fit amazingly well and you can walk miles in them. Get them now!

These are my first pair of Frye boots and boots of this type ever! I was admittedly nervous, wasn't sure of what size to order, I wear an 8.5-9, but finally went with an 8.5. Because Zappos is magic, my boots arrived within one day and today I'm wearing them for the first time. They were not difficult to put on, fit perfectly, and are so comfortable I may have become a Frye addict! Seriously, if you are ready to invest in a pair of boots that will last and become one with your feet look no further!

Absolutely beautiful boot, and great styling, color is very versatile, and the fit perfect. I wore these for miles the first day I got them and no blisters and did I mention the amazing natural leather smell and it's too rare these day but a real treat in itself! All of the Frye boots are great and can't go wrong with any of them!

I have two pairs now of these boots, because it took a bit of sorting to find the best fit! Everybody said they would feel tight at first, I say nay! I got my normal size 6, and with stretching chemicals and then the service? Well? They were still really tight. I am sitting here right now enjoying a larger size and very happy.

First of all, I practically never write reviews, but I feel strongly about my Frye Veronica slouch boots. I haven't seen quality workmanship like this in a very long time. Yes, they cost more than I usually spend. They are worth every penny. What's more, I get compliments from total strangers every time I wear them. I'm only 5' tall, and most boots are too tall. Not these! They run true to size and were so comfortable from the first time I put them on. This are my first Fryes and my first Zappos purchase. Won't be my last! I'm one picky satisfied customer!

These boots are part of my everyday uniform, I love them so much. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5, and the 9.5 fits great with a little wiggle room since I prefer to wear them with lightly padded wool socks. They had little to no break in period, and they've only gotten more comfortable with time (been wearing them for about a year now). No complaints, I highly recommend these boots.

Boots look great! However these are the most uncomfortable boots I ever bought! Wore one time in my heels were torn to shreds with blisters! I don't recommend these!

These are so cool and comfortable. I love them so much, they just add that wonderful touch to my black casual outfits.

Just purchased my second pair of Veronica Slouch boots and I just love them. I initially ordered the black tumbled full grain, very disappointing. The leather felt stiff and cheap and was too pebbled. Replaced them with the black vintage tumbled full grain - much, much better. The leather is nice and soft, they're very nice looking boots. Love the overall style of these boots. I have no problem getting them on or off. They do fit true to size.

I'm 5'3" and hard to find a riding boots with shorter shaft height. These boots are perfect for me, and the quality is so good. Only to remind those who have wide feet, although the boots look slouchy and chunky, they are not wide.

I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago and ever since then have been wearing them everywhere! They go with everything from jeans, leggings, dresses and can easily be dressed up or down. They are very comfortable and can wear them for hours without hurting my feet. This is my first pair of Frye boots and will not be my last!

Why is it so difficult to find a woman's boot that has a thick sole, is relatively wide, and sturdy? Some of us like to wear boots that not only look good, but are tough and last a long time.

Love these boots. I wasn't crazy about the slouchy factor, but they actually look good. great color, great vibe. Definitely a staple in your wardrobe.

I can't say enough great things about the Veronica Slouch boots! I was lucky enough to get a great sale deal on the Charcoal color, but I was a little leery of how it would appear in person. It's wonderful! The distressing on the toes of the boots isn't as pronounced as it is in the photos, it looks really natural. And the color itself is a warm dusty brown color - it's very versatile! Speaking of versatile! This boot can be worn with so many things! I've worn it over skinny cords, under boot cut jeans and with a skirt. Every look is stylish and cute! The leather smells amazing and feels soft and buttery. The slouchy style is comfy, and you can adjust the buckle at the top for calf roominess or tightness, depending on what you need. As far as comfort goes, these boots are amazing for me! I have very long and narrow feet, but these boots felt true to size and the width is great. (And they also make my feet look smaller!) The foot-bed is comfy and offers nice support throughout the day. I really love wearing these and they will be a staple throughout the winter. If you're on the fence about these, jump off and get them! Great looks, amazing comfort, and built to last construction and they'll be your wardrobe friend for a long time to come!

These boots have become an essential part of my work "uniform." They look great with casual and dress skirts/dresses and complement jeans as well. They are the most comfortable boots I've ever had, and I'm old enough to have owned LOTS of boots. My larger than most calves have plenty of room and, dare I say, look fabulous in these boots.

Was dying to order these boots but couldn't decide which size; I am a 7 in sandals and open toed shoes, but usually go for a 7.5 in flats and closed toed heels. I own a pair of Justin boots in a 7 and they were snug when I first got them, so I couldn't decide whether to go smaller and wait for them to stretch to perfection or go a little larger for immediate comfort. I ordered both sizes in the black tumbled full grain (which is a perfect black in my opinion - not too shiny, but not matte). After wearing the 7's around the house for several hours they DID stretch, but still felt snug around the toe bed. In my opinion these boots run a little narrow...I didn't want to take the gamble with the 7's on the off chance that they wouldn't stretch enough. The 7.5 fit from the get go; I guess if they stretch out I will have to wear thick socks! Your heels will slip in these boots (they're supposed to!) but after one wear you won't have to worry about blisters or rubbing. Love these boots and get compliments on them every time I wear them. If you're in between sizes because of foot width I would recommend ordering your larger size.
