I'm an electrician. Started wearing these boots 8 years ago. A pair will last me about one year. As far as comfort goes I've never worn a more comfortable boot. Right out of the box zero break in time. The only problem I have with them is I wish they made their non waterproof version of these boots as they were a bit cooler in the summer time. I've tried newer boots, that claim to have "superior technology" and I always find myself going back to the powerwelt. I figure if it ain't broke dont fix it.

Very nice boots and I’m happy. Fits true to size - length and width. Only took 1/2 day to break in. Boots don’t feel heavy. Rubber covered steel toe doesn’t make my feet hot. Laces stay tied all day. I like that it only has eyelets and no lace hooks that often cause boots to untie themselves. When you do untie them the eyelets are positioned so the boot easily slips off your foot. These boots feel much better than the Red Wing Supersoles they replaced. Those Supersoles were too expensive, too heavy and constantly untied themselves.

I have probably purchased 6 or 7 pairs of these boots in just as many years. I drive over the road hauling heavy equipment and oversized loads. When I'm not driving I'm home on the farm. The abrasive resistant coating really prolongs the life of the leather and the steel toes have come in handy on multiple occasions. I wear these boots year around. Mud, snow ice no problem always comfortable. I was surprised at how well I can move in these for being work boots, they do not feel heavy and my feet are not beat up or sore after wearing them all day. The only wear issues I have is cracking across the soles. This usually happens after about a year or so of use. I try to get 12 to 18 months of use out of a good pair of work boots. The other issue is after a while the laces seem to wear an edge into the inside of the upper eyelets that begin to cut into the laces eventually breaking them. As we speak my left boot has a shoelace that was broke and tied back together in four places. I keep wearing them though. Never had to break them in always felt good right out of the box. Just roomy enough but do not move around on my feet. I've been recommending these shoes to my friends for years and I would definitely buy them again. I just wish Timberland would address they cracking soles and eyelet issues. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with these boots. They don't look to exciting, but you can really beat the heck out of them and they hang in there.

Over the course of three years I built a series of dry-stack retaining walls in my backyard, totaling 15 tons of stone, concrete block, and gravel. I dug up much of the stone on site. My first purchase was this pair of boots, and I love them. At first, the tongue of one of them dug a little into my leg, but that went away fairly quickly, and they've been nothing but wonderful ever since. They are tough enough to handle the occasional dropped stone or badly-aimed swing of a pick axe, but they are also extremely comfortable. I recommend these boots without reservation for anyone who needs a durable, comfortable work boot.

These are the best boots I've ever had. Better than anything from Redwing, Dickies, CAT, ect. Waterproof membrane is still holding up and I've had these bad boys for about 3 and half almost 4 years. Don't wanna give em up. Can't be these boots!

This is my second pair, they are great. I deliver Admixture to concrete plants and some of the products are nitrate based which when splashed on leather destroys it. This held up 3 times longer than all my other boots in the past.

I wear these boots everyday at work as a building contractor. I also have another pair I wear after my day job as I work around the farm taking care of beef animals. Extremely comfortable and durable. Resists the tears and cuts I used to get from ordinary leather boots.

Company bought these for me when I worked as a landscaper during college. I am now on my second pair and wear them for all outdoor work. They are very comfortable and waterproof is a great bonus.

Bought these for my husband Christmas 2015 and he loved them. His back pain is substantially less. He wears them every day. I just had to buy him another pair for Christmas 2016. Very good investment if you are on your feet most of the day.

I just got myself another pair of these through my work. They're staying in the box though because the first pair I got have not worn out yet. I don't beat my boots to death with my work. I wear these mainly at the firehouse when I'm on shift where we do drills outside where they get wet and dirty and cleaning up the firehouse where they can get wet and dirty. The waterproof membrane is great because you can just hose off the boots and give it a quick scrub when they get dirty. I apply mink oil to the upper unprotected leather portion once a year to keep the leather supple and moistened. I like the fact that they are Goodyear Welt constructed. That means to me that the soles won't just separate one day. I love these boots. I'll buy them again and again

It has only been a week, but they're OK so far. I haven't had the instant adoration as described by other fortunate souls, but they're OK. The right amount of time hasn't passed to fully rate them, but out of the box, they're not horrible. Sometimes you immediately know if they'll work or not - I still have these. So there's that.
