As with all the Birkenstock sandals/clogs I have owned, these are well made, provide exceptional support, and are comfortable to wear. I prefer the Havana oil leather, because it is easy to keep looking good with Lexol leather conditioner. I usually wear mine with crew socks and these took a day's wear to break in, while I can wear Birkenstock sandals pretty much right out of the box. Highly recommended!

Ordered a 45 (12) narrow, perfect length and width, footbed is different from all the other Birkenstocks I own. arch is right under my metatarsal heads, very uncomfortable - not sure if regular would be the same so just sending back.

One shoe was narrower/tighter then the other but stretched with some a little wear. Shoes were different color brown for each other, I decided not to return! Checked your box.

Really a comfortable shoe. My first pair birks, not my last. Looks more like a sandal than a shoe however. Not really something most people can wear to work. But an awesome casual shoe. I have plantar fasciitis and this shoe offered some nice relief for me.

Purchased this pair to have closed-toe shoes for work. The most comfortable loafers I've owned have been Naots, but the sole would break after 6 months of daily wear. But the Birkenstock London pair is very comfortable like the Arizona sandals previously purchased. The sizing is also consistent. The only complaint is the buckle -- need to undo it every time I put the shoes on, but hopefully this will change once I break in the leather.

Comfortable out of the box. These don't have the toe bar, which isn't a problem for me. The thick leather really gives the shoe a substantial feel, while the light weight really makes them easy to wear for long periods. Build quality is excellent-the footbed is made in Germany, while the upper is made in Portugal. Don't let that bother you, Portugal is known for making fine leather products and shoes. The Havana color is rich and attractive. Very happy with these.

I bought size 8.5 regular mens not realizing these shoes are unisex. They are too narrow and uncomfortable. They run small too, hard to put on.

I have been on these shoes for a week. They were comfortable right out of the box, and will continue to get more comfortable as I wear them in I am sure. Being a shop teacher, on my feet all day, with a touch of plantar fasciitis, I needed a closed toe shoe with a lot of arch support - these are perfect. The price was a little hard to swallow, but the quality is first rate, with thick leather uppers, and the typical Birkenstock quality sole, so I expect they will last a good number of years. I highly recommend these shoes!

I gave these shoes four out of five (in comfort), only because they really take some work to break in. Right out of the box I found them really tight and uncomfortable (I do, however, have really wide feet with high arches). After wearing them and pushing through the first week or so, these shoes were broken in and almost feel custom made for my feet. They are very comfortable and seem like they're going to last a long time. They are pretty cute especially if you like the Birkenstock look - I wear them to work with nice jeans.

Trying to replace my original pair. I love this shoe! But my foot is too wide for the Regular. Trying to find this in wide. Plus my original pair had a kind of shiny leather-good for work, not the dull 'oil finish'.

Fatal Design Defect Excruciating, Crippling Pain! The arch support is about two inches forward of where it should be. It's like a steel rod going up into the ball of your foot. I'm not kidding.

I wear a woman's size 8½. I have wide feet and just had bunion surgery, so I need support and a roomy toe box. I have always worn Birkenstock sandals, so I decided to purchase the London for wearing mostly around the house during the winter. I ordered a size 40, which fits perfectly. Originally I ordered a 39, because I wear a 39 in the sandals, but my longest toe touched the tip. These feel great. I wear with thin or thick socks. The lip at the top needs to be worn in, so I am not wearing without socks. They look good with jeans. I give four stars overall because they are pricey for shoes that have a limited use. But like all Birkenstocks, they will last for a very long time and get better with age.

I wrote a review May 4, 2014 singing the praises of my "career shoes." My intent was to also retire my shoes (after 28 years) when I retired. Simply said, I could not bear to just pitch them. They served me well. Thus, after new footbed and sole replacement they are just like new. Now I guess I should refer to them as my "lifetime shoes." These shoes are magnificent!

Although I've worn Birkenstock garden clogs for 23 years, this shoe bed is much different. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I think it's going to work out quite well.

I think I have wanted these shoes for approximately 20 years. It may be better that I waited this long, because I swear to God I don't think I will ever wear another shoe for the rest of my life. I cannot possibly gush enough about how much I love these shoes. My friends and family have pretty much had it with me trying to get everyone to buy them. I am a 43 year old mama of 2 children. So I am constantly running around in every way,( except the way that keeps a person in decent shape). I wore Danskos for years, which I loved, but after a while my knee really started to hurt going up stairs and I realized it was due to the extra inches Dansko adds to height. My body is made to transport 5'4" not 5'7". And I can't tell you how many ankle twists and falls I had in those shoes, all the potholes in target parking lots! These are a dream. I keep telling people they have changed my life. No knee pain, my back is happier, I even took an hour long hike in them! This is the best purchase I have made in years! And Zappos is the best, as always. Man, I love these shoes. I hope others find as much joy in these shoes as I do!

I love Birkenstocks. the style is a bit clunky but the original footbed is the best therapy for my high arches. Unfortunately these are getting harder to find. I am grateful to Zappos Customer service for walking me through my order.

The 70s hippie look is growing on me; but more importantly, the cork insole and wide toe box are very comfortable for my high arched wide feet.

I am a Birkie wearer. I swear by Birkenstocks because I have four pair of the sandals in different styles. But, this is my first Birk shoe and like my others, it doesn't disappoint. I ordered my normal size of a 38 regular and it fit perfect. I didn't have any issues of having to break them in either. I thought I would because the leather seemed stiff at first but when I put them on and started walking there wasn't any issue with them not being able to give. They feel good with or without socks for me, but I am going to wear them mostly with socks. I purchased these because I didn't want to give up the comfort of Birks during the winter time since I now have to put my sandals away. I usually go back to other types of shoes in the winter months but I am finding that my feet have a hard time adjusting which is probably why during last winter I had a bunch of callouses. Anyway, these are wonderful and I am planning on getting them in brown as well.

I do surgery all day. I've worn birks for years and love them, they're the best shoes for prolonged standing. I took my London to the cobbler and got vibram soles put on to prevent slipping in blood etc. Not the best looking but definitely the most comfortable shoe you will own after a month of wearing in.

I love Birkenstocks shoes and have owned numerous pairs. They are super comfortable! I had a previous pair of Londons in black, but decided to purchase a new pair in brown. They are the same great shoe I remember and love with one noticeable difference. **The London NO LONGER includes a raised toe bar in the footbed. This was a surprise to me when I received these from Zappos. I finally had to contact Birkenstock in Germany to verify that they have indeed removed that feature from these shoes. I do miss it but even still the shoes are some of my favorites.

The good: Everything I love about my Birk slip-ons are true of these shoes. Excellent build quality, support, and comfort. The bad: the footbed in both London models is suede. I bought this as a work shoe where socks are required. I was expecting a smooth leather footbed that I could slide my feet/socks into easily. With the suede my socks bunch up and it takes a while for them to straighten out. If I had it to do over, I would not buy these shoes because of the fundamental design flaw. I tried them barefoot and my feet turned black with dye. Eventually they'll be fine, but I'm not a happy camper at the moment. Please note this is not Zappos fault; this is a Birkenstock problem. I could have sent them back, but I didn't have any other good alternative, so I kept them.

I do have other Birkenstocks in the same size (36R) that I love--but these are much, much bigger than my other 36s. They are very stiff. Nice shoe, but Birkenstock shouldn't abandon women with small feet. I wear 35s and 36s. If these came in a 35R or N, or a 36N, they might fit. Disappointed.

Great Birkenstock comfort in a fully closed shoe. The leather looks incredible and easily slips on. Wore with a light sock, but there was some color transfer to the sock. Put them on and wore them all day.

I own a few pairs of Birkenstocks and really wanted these to work for cooler weather, the toe box was great, very roomy, but the area around the top of the foot over the arch was way to tight. So tight, I wouldn't even try stretching them. To bad.
