NB High Top - Best available for wide feet. As usual, NB has a good selection for those of us who need some more width. The shoes perform fine, the fact that they actually fit helps a lot.

888 review - I wanted good ankle support and this shoe performs great. I have a high arch and narrow foot so I replaced the insoles with athletic arch support insoles and that also helped snug the shoe to the sides of my foot since standard width is D and I'm a B. I think they will do well for me.

The shoes have a taller "Hi-Top" than I like. The tongue sticks out at the top a lot. They remind me of the 80's Reebok hi top. They are comfortable (once you get used to the HI top), fit true to size, and have a nice toe box that doesn't "squeeze" your toes.

BUY with CAUTION! Shoe is comfortable in games, looks great but after two nights of B-ball the left shoe has already started to separate the sole from the body of the shoe. After four nights of B-ball both shoes are now splitting. Caution to new comers.

BB888 - These are probably a great shoe for Basketball, but that’s not what I bought them for. I bought them because they are the only all black leather high tops I could find in my size (16). They fit very snug and firm especially in the toes, and if you are sprinting up and down a basketball court that is probably a good thing, but if you are wearing them all day they get a little tight in the toes. I bought these as a comfortable work shoe. I need all leather for safety and all black for company. The problem is the mid section is nylon with a lot of vent holes. I am exposed to wet environmental conditions and to hazardous chemicals so instead of the leather keeping water out, the vents let water and chemicals in, then trap them inside with my foot. Not something to wear outside on a rainy day. Like I said before, probably a great basketball only shoe, but for an all purpose shoe I wish I had looked a little closer at the pictures online before purchasing.

BB888 High Not For Me - Delivery time and service were great, as usual. I wear a 13EEEE, so NB is just about the only manufacturer that makes an athletic shoe I can wear. The BB888 has a very high top and was VERY stiff when I received them and remains unacceptably stiff. I actually prefer the BB887, which is a mid top. The inner sole of the 888 is thinner than the 887 and doesn't cushion my foot very well. Because of the very high top, stiffness and thin inner sole I have gone back to my 887s for games and use the 888 as more of a casual shoe. There's nothing actually wrong with the 888, it just doesn't meet my specific needs in a basketball shoe. If a leftover 887 in a 13EEEE were available I'd buy it.

Provides Foot Problems - I purchased a pair to play basketball on a HS court 2x per week. Within a month I developed plantar fasciitis - SEVERE foot pain due to lack of support for the arch. After getting treatment for the fasciitis (not playing for 3+ months now) I wore these to work. Just walking caused the symptoms to return. DO NOT BUY THIS SHOE UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN ARCH SUPPORTS AND INSOLES!
