First basketball shoe I've ever had that actually fits my foot! This is one of the few shoes available in a 4E, and it's true to width. If you've got a wide foot, look no further, this is the shoe for you!

My wide feet make new balance shoes a necessity. These seem to be the best among current models. Style may not be the best, especially since black is not available in larger sizes, but the shoes allow room for my ankle braces. Overall a great no nonsense shoe.

First of all, you cannot beat Zappos! The best customer service, quick delivery, selection and free shipping! My husband was looking for some good quality sneakers. He is convinced he is a size 15. Based on how his other shoes are wearing, I know he is a size 16! But, we ordered the New Balance BB888 in a size 15. Needless, to say we had to return them and order the same sneaker in a size 16. Which did fit. Just to let you know how fast Zappos works, we ordered the size 15, returned it, and re-ordered this sneaker in a size 16. All in 3 days. He was actually wearing the size 16 on the third day! Nice sneaker, good support, and sharp looking. Thank you Zappos!

Good ankle support, well built. My ankles tend to lean inwards when I walk and these shoes help a lot. Also, available in wide widths which are very hard to find!

This is the only product on the market today that supports the over the ankle.

I work in law enforcement and needed a good comfortable summer shoe with ankle support. The show also needed to fit the uniform policy with a polishable toe. This shoe feels and looks great and I can work a 10-12 hour shift no problem. Very, very, comfortable and light. Also looks great with pants. Runs a little small, I usually wear a size 12 and a 12.5 was perfect. Also great price and free shipping. The easy website navigation brings me back every time.

When I submitted my order, somehow the wrong size was indicated. I emailed and called about needing to change the size. Response was quick and the change was made. I ordered over the weekend and the shoes arrived on Monday. They fit perfectly and I have been very happy with them. I stongly recommend Zappos and will use them again.

The BB888s are great basketball shoes. The material is leather and they provide excellent ankle support. The shoes do not have gimmicks like velcro or inflatable bladders. I play basketball 3 or 4 times a week and the shoes have been comfortable since the first time I wore them. I have been considering whether to buy another pair and set them aside for wear later. I also liked the quick delivery from Zappos. I couldn’t be happier with the shoes or the service.

I bought these shoes for my husband who has extra wide feet, and they were not too tight as most sneakers are. He did go down a 1/2 a size. He wears them for racquetball and loves the high top because they give him ankle support. He also likes the look, a lot of sneakers are patent leather or have a lot of shiny silver on them now and these are pretty low key, but look really nice. He is very happy with them, they were definitely worth the money.

I have always loved this line of basketball shoes. The shoe I used for many years was the 717, an old version of the 888. The 888 has the same strengths and the one weakness. It gives terrific support. It has great traction, but you can also slide step with it well because once you break it in, it is reasonably flexible. I use an orthotic because I have flat feet and over-pronate. The shoe takes the orthotic well. I think it is a cool looking shoe, but I am old school and think a lot of the super-expensive shoes backed by an NBA player look atrocious. It is amazingly durable and if it is not the longest lasting basketball shoe you have ever owned, I would be surprised. The one weakness is that it is not a very airy shoe. I can live with that and will probably buy the 999 or 1010 in a few years.

I have bought several pairs of the New Balance high top basketball shoes . They work great for my feet, that have bunions; with the extra width I can still enjoy basketball again. I am 55 and play ball 5 to 6 nights a week. I could not do it without the help of the 4 x width ball shoe. Zappos was the only place I could find a shoe to fit; what a relief on the feet. Makes my feet feel 30 years younger. Thank you Zappos for your fast and very helpful staff at hand . Makes my experience fun with every order. Great shoe - I wear these shoes primarily to play indoor volleyball. I have flat feet and weak ankles. Over the years, I've managed to break my right ankle 3 times and my left 2. Needless to say, that's a bit of a concern with any shoe I purchase. Prior to finding these shoes, I have worn a variety of mids along with active ankle braces on both feet. With these, I no longer need them. I've landed on other people's feet in such a way that in the past I would have at the very least rolled my ankle. Even without the active ankle supports, I've had no injuries at all and feel 100% safe. Excellent comfort, even better support. Great shoe.

Comfeeeeee - These are great shoes, great ankle support and comfortable to walk in. Walked around Disney World for a week and they were great.

Good shoes for basketball - I got these shoes for my son who is in college and is playing in a rec league. He is very happy with their fit and comfort, they are well padded and serving him well as a basketball shoe. Thank you Zappos for your quick service and being able to send the shoes to his dorm. We really appreciate you carrying the size 16 in a wide shoe they are very hard to find and we always look to you to come through!

BB888 hight top Basketball - Excellent support in a lightweight shoe. Sturdy and performance features don't give way to style. Extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable - Very comfortable sneaker. I have had problems with other sneakers where my feet would hurt half way through the day. I bought these right before a big trip. I was able to walk all day without any discomfort.

Delivery time was excellent. The shoe was just about all I expected except for the arch support, could be slightly more. Nothing else to say. Great service, and terms.

NB 888 - The shoes fit really nice. They are true high top basketball shoes. I have a really hard time finding hi-top shoes but Zappos always comes through.
