This an excellent pair of shoes. I use them to ride my motorcycle. Provides a lot of ankle support. A good grip when I place the foot down to support the weight on stops. Comfortable around your toes and foot heel. "Breathe" good around your entire foot, maintaining good temp. Recommended for long hikes as well.

Boots appear very heavy duty which is great. But the 5E is enormous. These guys run a bit large. The front toe box is a bit on the high side adding to the feeling of increased size. It's a shame there are no inbetween sizes for the width.

My husband has very sensitive feet. The show sales people, in order to compensate for his xxxx or xxxxx width gave him shoes too big. the arch was in the wrong place causing pain. These shoes are wide enough and he particularly likes the high top. I have purchased all the Propet for him.

Very accommodating for large, wide feet, even with orthotics. Extremely well made, warm but not stifling, and very comfortable. Exceptional room in the toe box. I can work all day in these shoes where traditional "work boots" leave me hurting after a few hours. Haven't tried them on the trail yet, but I suspect they'd be great for hiking as well. Highly recommend overall!

Nice looking shoes. They felt a bit large for 10 1/2 but the width was right on. I will enjoy wearing them.

This was a gift for someone who has problems finding comfortable boots. I have to say, he loves them! They were actually wide enough, which is rare, and even had wiggle room in the toes. He said breaking them in took a week or two but boots usually do. Very happy with these, especially with the winter the Midwest is having. He is keeping them on a list for future purchases! I love these Propet Cliff Walkers. I have to say one of the best shoes I have ever worn. I had my pair about 1 year now. Wearing them everyday. Only showing some slight wear and scuffing. I wear a crew length sock with them. They are easy to put on and very comfortable. I was recommended to get a higher shoe/boot and I am glad I did. I have only had to replace the shoe string.

I walk for exercise and I over pronate so I have orthotic inserts made for my shoes. My doctor suggested I switch from walking shoes to hiking shoes/bots because of the extra support. These cliff walkers fit the bill perfectly.

I hate buying shoes. With inflammatory arthritis, any pressure, especially on the ball or arch, can trigger weeks of joint pain. Usually, I buy a shoe that feels as though it "might be okay"; most of the time I'm disappointed and have to put up with a long and painful break-in period or even shelve the shoes. With this Propet boot and another pair of Propet shoes I purchased at the same time, my reaction when I put them on was, as the kids say, "OMG!" They feel as if I'd had them for 6 months and fully broken them in! No pressure points, no pain, no uncertainty! If you have problem feet, give them a try. With Zappos, if they don't wow you, simply return them, no questions asked! Propet and Zappos...6 stars!

My husband loves these shoes for work. They keep his feet warm and dry in the winter and are very comfortable.

Bought 12/5E and they are 12/5E. Great comfort. Don't take them off. Really impressed with how the bottom sheds dirt & mud!

These were perfectly good looking boots and they seemed like an ideal choice for all-purpose boots. They looked well made. The problem was that they didn't fit, because they were no nicely over-sized. My husband wears a size 14 shoe, in the widest width he can find. He mostly settles for shoes that are a little snug. These boots, in size 14 5E were actually too big, a totally new experience for him. He doesn't think he's ever put on a pair of shoes that were too large, so it took him quite awhile of walking around in them to even recognize the feeling. The soles of the shoes were almost exactly the same on the outside as his New Balance trail shoes and his Red Wing work boots, but there seemed to be a lot more vertical room in the toe area inside the boot. It had to lace together very tightly to fit, causing leather wrinkles to form in the toe area of the leather because it was pulled together too tightly. His heel had movement in the back, something he never experiences. We can't speak for the rest of the sizes, but in a size 14 5E, there may be more room than in simlar sized boots and you should place your order acordingly.

Excellent quality! I work construction, and this boot is the best I have ever worn on my feet for work. The shoelaces are junk, mine fell apart in a week due to the material they are made of and the medal buckles. But who cares about that, go buy some new laces for 2 bucks. The boots are high quality! I will buy another pair to keep on hand for when these get old.

This is my husband's second or third pair of these, so glad they come in huge sizes. He's had 4 surgeries on his right foot for an ankle replacement and that ankle is huge and these give him enough room and comfort, don't quit making them please.

Very well made, rugged, fit perfectly on a very wide foot. I bought these after ordering a different shoe that was listed as very wide but arrived too narrow for my giant feet. This shoe was just perfect, and each eyelet is metal - none of that plastic nonsense that rips when you pull your laces tight. The only thing I have a problem with is the newness of them; I used to have my brother-in-law break in my shoes for me because I use a wheelchair and am hypersensitive with shoes. He can't do that for me since I moved away, so these are still slowly getting foot time. They are very comfortable but like all shoes on my feet, the arches still need to be worn in before I can wear them for a full day, or they cause spasms. That's not the shoe's fault, it's my feet. I am sure once they've been broken in they will be more comfortable than any shoe I've worn in the last five years.

Got these for my hubby and he loves them. He says that they are true to size and comfy. The dark brown with the black sole trim makes it wearable with both black outfits and brown.

I have duck feet that like to stay dry. The 5E size fits my feet just fine. The boot size is large, so 10 1/2 gives my toes room to play and swell when I'm on a long walk. I took my virgin boots up a Limahouli stream on Kauai, right out of the box, with no break in. My feet were happy and dry. When my feet are happy, so am I. I am stuck on Zappos. Can I buy stock?

I have been wearing these Propet boots to work almost every day for about six months now. They get even more comfortable after break in, I walk a lot so that's a good thing. These Propet boots don't wear out quickly like the Propet Sneakers I wear when the weather turns warmer, I can probably wear this pair next fall and winter before they are ready to retire. These boots are warm, comfortable, waterproof and solidly made. I will buy them again.

Nice boot. Just not wide enough. I usually take a 4E width, but they only had 3E, so I gave them a try since this was my first pair of Propet boots. If Zappos gets anymore of these, I'll try the 5E. Judging from the 3E fit, the boot runs narrower than what it's marked.

Nice, roomy toe area. They work great for my hard-to-fit feet, which are wide at the toe joints and prone to tenderness with most shoes. The poorly thought-out lacing system, at least with the pair I bought in 2015, is frustrating to deal with. This is definitely a design where the "speed lacing" hooks on the top rows of laces are anything but speedy. First, the padded leather surrounding the hooks gets in the way of the hook's opening; you sometimes need to perform a very deliberate, all-fingers-on-deck manipulation of the lace to get them into the hook's open end. A frustratingly slow procedure when you're trying to get out and go. Second, the hooks freely rotate about the axis of their single mounting rivet. Sometimes the hook of a lower hook would rotate and the lace will fall out while one is lacing another hook, forcing you to backtrack. The system would be much faster if it consisted of all eyelets, rather than its mixture of eyelets and hooks. In order to remedy these problems, one can use a pliers to bend down the hooks to make them permanently closed. Just insert a temporary spacer, like a thick nail, in the gap while you're bending the hooks in order to preserve an ample gap for the lace. After 4 years of intermittent winter use, the foam cushioning broke down, even though the rest of the well-constructed shoe has held up very well. This seems to be the way of all "modern" consumer level hiking shoes. I miss the days before foam, when we could get many more years of service out of our shoes. Despite these two drawbacks, I'm reordering a replacement pair because they fit me so well.

I purchased the boots for my brother. I usually get 14 4e, so I got I purchased 14 5e just to be on the safe side. The width 5e is too tight, but the size is true to fit.

What a disappointment. I have had a pair of the cliff walkers for about 8 years, which i used to hiking trips to the mountains about once a year. They fit beautifully, but finally needed replacing. I ordered a new pair, size 9.5, 5X, the widest they offer, and they are too narrow, certainly narrower than my previous pair. For those who's feet fit these boots, i'd give it a five star.

Yay!! It is so hard to find my husband shoes that are wide enough and are comfy. This fit the bill so far. He has not worn them for long but he tells me these should work just one.
