3 stars because they're cute and my kid loves that he has "real skater shoes." Unfortunately, after spending a morning scootering around the local skate park, he's nearly worn through the rubber on the toe. I bought Vans thinking they would be more durable for that sort of activity, so maybe that was a misconception.

These sizes trip me out. My toddler has 7.5 so i purchased an 8 since he is growing and his 7.5 is bigger. I ordered a 9 and its the same as the 7.5

These are cute but run a size small. My baby wears a 3 and we ordered a 4 and they were really snug!

The jury is still out on if we will keep these. My son loves them, but after having them only a month, the sole is pulling away from the shoe. I also don't like the fact that the tongue won't stay in place. It moves off to the side. I did order a half size up based on other reviews and the fit seemed accurate.

These shoes were very cute; however, my grandson kept tripping in them. He's been walking for about ten months and has never had trouble tripping. I think they are too stiff for beginner walkers/runners.
I'd also recommend:

The white rubber band around the sole is broken after 3 days wearing. Really sad, because I ordered two paires of this shoes. But any way thank the customer service people of Zappos, they exchanged the bad ones very kindly.

Cute but cheap - These shoes are very cute and my toddler hasn't complained about them hurting his feet but they just feel and look kinda cheaply made for the price.
I'd also recommend:
Nike, Adidas, DC

Cute but heavy. Love the look of these shoes for my 22 month old son. My only complaint is that they are rather heavy and do not breath well. My son complains "hot" and points to his shoes and says "off mama". I was hoping that these would make good play shoes, but he prefers to wear his old Stride Rites, or Crocs.
I'd also recommend:
Try stride rites, or new balance (lighter and breathable)

Awesome looking, but bad fit - My husband and I love Vans shoes. They are really cool looking shoes. However, when we went to buy a pair for my 17 month old we found that none of the vans fit because he has wide feet. This was very disappointing. We bought a size too big hoping the bigger size would be wider, but we found that they were really narrow and just not right. If Vans ever decide to make a wide width we will definitely buy some.

The shoe doesn't exactly look like the picture. It's missing the white sidestripe that symbolizes the old school vans. Why? Overall the shoe is ok.

Definitely be careful, I entered my daughters feet size in CM and it told me to get a size 8 for 14CM foot length. Absolutely not correct, too big.

I wanted to love these. After two days of my daughter wearing them, the glitter on soles were clearly coming off. They looked old after a week. Will not buy again. Not for toddlers.

I got these for my niece for Christmas and I was hoping they had the Vans logo on the back, but they don't...which is weird.

I followed the size chart and measured my baby's feet and chose the size according to the length. The shoes were way too big.

I have been buying Vans for my kid since she needed shoes. This is the first time her shoes have fallen apart in the first week we bought them. Super disappointed.

I am so bummed out. I ordered this size because it appeared to be "9.5cm" based on the sizing chart, however when they arrived they were SO much smaller than another pair of Vans I have that are 9.0cm. It just doesn't make sense and is very inconsistent. I had to return them because they were basically doll shoes when the sizing chart indicated they should fit my daughter. Very unfortunate. Quality with Vans is great though, you just can't order online and trust the sizing chart.

I expected the flowers to be embroidered as pictured, but unfortunately they are only painted on leaving the shoe to look a bit cheap and not nearly as vibrant as the image. On the plus side, the soles of shoes are unique and look pretty.

Less than a week after receiving these the fabric started to separate from one of the Velcro straps.

I ordered a 5 for my son and even though they fit, length wise they are incredibly tight. The straps only go half way across the top. His feet are normal size too.
