These are super cute. The velcro helps make on and off easier for my son (18 months). I love the simple design and colors. My only complaint is that it is a bit stiff compared to some of his other sneakers. He is a late walker so if your child has already been walking for awhile, this probably will not be a concern for you. Seems to have very little arch support, but at this age I do not think it matters much (Flinstone feet).

My son has wide feet and sometimes it's hard to find the right shoe, but these Vans were perfect. The 6.5 is comparable to Adidas size 7, but wider. Word of caution, these shoes are heavy. If you have a kicker, it will hurt. :) My son gets compliments on these all the time. Just yesterday, someone walked past and said to their wife, look honey, he has on little Vans!

Sturdy, high quality shoes that are super cute on my toddler. The soles are rigid enough to provide plenty of support but they\'re also flexible enough to allow lots of running around. I just hope he doesn\'t outgrow these too fast!

Great shoes for toddlers and pre-school age kids. Velcro straps are a huge plus and this shoe fits my son's wide feet really well. The shoe has a stiffness to it which helps with wrestling it onto his feet. His last pair of tennis shoes was so soft I couldn't get them on without immobilizing him and hooking my thumb into the back of the shoe! These are great; would definitely buy again.

We love these Old Skool Vans. My 2 1/2 year old son wears them all the time and they hold up better than any other sneaker that we've tried. We have 2 colors, blue and black, and they look cute with everything. People are always saying "I love his little Vans!" They run a size bigger than other brands so I buy an 8 in Vans when I buy a 9 in other shoes.

I bought these skate shoes for my son. They're true to size, and very cute! Very easy with the Velcro closures. This is our third pair of this kind of shoe, different color. When he out grows these, we will get another pair. I love Zappos free both ways shipping! You have nothing to lose; if you don't like 'em or they don't fit send em back! This shoe just arrived for my 3 y/o. I hate trying to guess online what size to order so thought this comparison might help others. The Vans size 9 is equivalent to a Stride Rite 9.5 Wide. (I stuck the Vans insole into my son's SR shoe and it fit perfectly.) Can't wait to wear them tomorrow!
