They're just too tight and aren't breaking in. There's a little less than a thumbs-width of space between my daughter's big toe and the end of the shoe, so it's the right size length-wise. But they're really tight and hard to get into, and they don't seem to be stretching out or breaking in. I think maybe they were designed for a stretchier material, but the rainbow-sparkle material has less give/stretch and that's why they're tight? We haven't had this problem with other shoes, so I don't think it's the size (the height?) of my daughter's feet.

My son currently wears a 10.5 but based on reviews that these run a half size large I purchased a size 11 so he could grow into them. Even that large, I still couldn't get my son's feet in these. Maybe we're just used to much wider shoes but these seem to run narrow. It's a shame because they're really cute and my rainbow-loving son was very excited to wear them, but I don't think this style will work for him. Had to return.

My daughter loves these shoes and they are very high quality. They run very small though. I ordered a full size up so that she could grow into them, but she can barely get them on. They are great shoes though, we will be ordering a bigger size.

Can't say enough great about these shoes. Daughter loves how easy they are to slip on and they look super cute. These do run a whole size large. We had ordered before and so knew this in advance but ORDER A FULL SIZE DOWN. As long as you stick to that rule, these are great shoes.

This shoe is dripping with creativity, from the sparkling cherries sliding off the top to the fudge sliding towards the sole. It also is a bit wide and roomy-especially towards the ankle, so fair warning all ye of narrowed heel.

Super cute shoe, bought two pairs for 5 and 6 year old girls that wear uniforms each day. These shoes go with pretty much anything. With most Vans I find that they are larger than the size they say I would order a half to full size smaller if you are wanting to wear immediately; otherwise great room to grow shoe.

These are very cute shoes, that are true to size in a Vans slip on way. The shoes do not last long, but you ca not beat the price.

Vans are just the best for kids (and adults, too). I found that they run a bit large - about a half size. If you are on "the edge" of the larger size, you might have to order down a half size. Also there isn't any arch support to speak of - so long, long walks might not be the best in these shoes. But the style - so fun!!!

Really Cute Shoes - I got a pair for my 12 year old daughter -- the b&w checkerboard w/pink bunny. She absolutely loved the look of the shoe. Though, they were definitely a full half-size larger than marked. I really hoped she could wear them this Summer as planned. I guess that's a good thing, that is, I hope she'll be able to fit into them by next Summer?

A great sneaker - I'm so glad my kid finally fits in VANS - they are adorable!

Got these for my daughter because they're so cute. We went a half size up because Vans usually run small, but - she couldn't even jam her foot in no matter how we tried. It seemed that her arch was to big to actually fit into the shoe - so back they go.

These are very cute, but they run very big. I would say they run 2-3 whole sizes bigger than expected. For example: my daughter has Nike running sneakers in a 10. She needs to go up a size. So I got 11 in these and they are huge. 11 in other shoes are just fine. They are way bigger, so order down.

My daughter wears a 4. I bought these in a size 3.5 and 4. Both sizes were huge. I had to return them. I would recommend purchasing a full size smaller than needed.

I’m a small woman. I wear a size 3 in most kids shoes. I tend to buy kids shoes when possible because they fit me better. Converse and Vans Authentic... always a size 3. This was my first pair of slip on Vans. I couldn’t even get my foot into these. Very narrow and my toes were at the tip with NO room. But the color was super cute. Girly without being too pink.

Poor fit - Good to look at, but very unkind to little feet. My daughter wore them 3 times and is unable to wear them again.
