Amidst most other reviews, these ran super small for my daughter! It took me two returns to finally get the right size. She normally wears an 11 and after two attempts ended up getting an 11.5. A little stiff, but hoping that eases up more with wear

Seem to run a little large. Thick socks help. Our daughter loves the hologram heart design.

My child couldn't even get her foot in the opening. The length seemed to leave room for growth, but the opening was incredibly narrow. It's a shame because she loved the style!

It looked nice, but my daughter couldn’t even get her foot in it. It was very narrow.

I love these shoes but the elastic is so tight that completely prevented my daughter from being able to get her foot inside even with these shoes being a half-size larger than measured size for her.

These are really cute for a young girl. My 5 year old loves them. They run about a half size bigger. I order the 13 first and had to return for 12 1/2. Because they're slip on it's necessary to have a snug fit otherwise they'll slip off the heel. So if you're in the habit of having your kids wear shoes that are a little big for them so they can grow into the size, I would advise against these shoes, they'll just slip off and be unwearable!

Love these shoes, but really hard to get on and off. Once they are worn a bit, I'm sure it will be easier, but as new shoes it's really difficult. Especially as a parent who is working with a preschooler.

I bought these cute shoes for our little surfer girl. She loved them up for little over a month, then her shoes became a lot like that old familiar story "The Velveteen Rabbit". They were torn, dirty, faded. The once pretty pink hues colors appeared o be more of an undesirable brown. She lost her love affair with them pretty early, #1 the colors were lost early & #2 they didn't last beyond 3 months. We buy a lot of pairs of Vans shoes for our kids every year, welnow we are going to get 3-4 months out of them and we are OK with that, it's just the way it is and that's why they don't cost a whole lot ;). When the soles get holes we buy new, about every 4 months because our kids get in a lot of asphalt play at school and some cement outside that's about as good as it gets. If your kids get more grass or dirt play they will probably last longer then what we experience.

Bought this for my daughter. She loves it, but it ran a little tight, probably because of the material. Had to return for a half size larger than her normal size, which was a little loose, but still better than being too tight. The gold coating because a bit scruffy after only a few days, but not too bad.

My daughter loves this "dressier" Vans...one of the shoes were a little marked when we received our order but she couldn't wait to wear them so we didn't return.

Many reviewers said these run large but I ordered the same size my girls wear in Keds shoes, and they were a good fit - one must have been growing because she needed a half size bigger than her current Keds. They can also be a bit tricky to get on until they are broken in. But they are fun and funky and my kids love them!

My 7year old has a very hard time finding shoes she is comfortable in. She has wide and thick feet so most shoes squeeze her foot. She was very happy with these thiugh. Easy to wear, can wear them to PE. These will be her shoes for the next few sizes.

The shoes arrived fast, as usual, from Zappos. My girls have worn Vans for awhile and we were surprised to find these slip-ons were too tight (we even ordered a half size up). We are going back to the lace up versions.

I bought these for some quick shoes for my daughter to slip on and play outside over the summer. Also a little nostalgia from my own youth. They are very cute shoes, but they run at least a full size large. I had to return the shoes I purchased twice to get the right size and my daughter still is not wearing them because she says they still feel too big. I think she'll like them when they fit right, but definitely follow the advise of others and get these a full size down. wn is still a little big.

They really do run a full size larger, so be sure to order down a size! My kiddo has been wearing a size 4 in Uggs, Reeboks & North Face shoes. The 3.5 in these Vans is still too big, so we're doing a second return for a size 3. Love that Zappos is so easy to work with - thank goodness!

I was not fully familiar with Vans for my daughter - I have a pair for myself that are very comfortable and also true to size. These are about a full size big - super cute though. Can't wait to put her in them. My daughter has wide feet so I hope they work out for the summer.

These are absolutely adorable and seem like they will be very comfortable. But they definitely run big. I ordered the same size that my daughter has been wearing for a few months now and they are huge on her. Thank goodness for Zappos' amazing customer service and easy exchanges. I love Zappos! It is the only place that I buy shoes for my four kids.

My child, who is nine, loves the fun, expressive designs and how easy these shoes are to slip on in the morning. While we can't usually get a full school year out of these before they start to get too worn to wear, I think that's pretty average for canvas-style shoes such as these. Our Keds seem to wear out much faster than the Vans do, so if that's important to you, I'd stick with the Vans. Sizing always seems to be right on, so order the size you normally need.

As always, Vans puts out another ridiculously cute limited slip-on (Owl). And, as always, the sizing is way off. My daughter is just fitting into a size 1 youth, and we got these in 13 knowing they'd run big. Her feet just fall right out of the shoes. So, I'd say these are at least a full size large.
