2nd Time around - I bought a very similar pair of Keens 4 years ago. While they are still in great condition, I wanted to update my look. I bought these and love them! They are very warm, comfortable and water-resistant. They look great with everything from jeans to snow pants. And as always, Zappos delivered with perfect service.

Wonderful - I just love this shoe. The foot bed is like wearing the original Newport sandal or Seattle. It's warm and comfortable. And I don't have any fear of slipping on the ice.

LOVE these shoes! I live in Bend, OR - it's snowy, slushy and chilly in the winter. I teach Pilates so I'm always looking for shoes that are cute, functional and I can get on and off quickly as I'm back and forth to my studio all the time. These are the perfect shoe. I have large feet and these don't make my feet look huge. I typically wear a little heel with jeans, but these actually look cute with jeans too!

Very comfortable shoes!The second comfortable one after my - Keen Silverlake. And believe me when I'm saying this. I am A huge Keen fan! I own more then 10 different Keen pairs. And they are so very comfy, noticeable and worth the money! And you can buy your real size in this one. At least I did.

Love the Dakota!!! This is my fifth pair of keens and I'm so happy to wear the Dakota! The wide toe bed and arch are fabulous while walking the dogs and running errands. And they are so toasty warm and cute in the green color! Thanks again!!!

Good winter shoes - Put these on and had no break-in period. I even go on winter hikes, and they support and keep my feet warm.

Hip and Rugged - I ordered these to slip on quickly to run errands, take the dogs out, etc. I am a 9.5, but ordered a 10 so I could put a thick warm sock on and that works great. I'm in MN so it's snowy, slushy, etc and these are great for that. You could basically run the rubbery sole under the sink to rinse them off. They are cool/hip looking but definitely rugged and will look cute with jeans or sweats. I give them 5 stars for "look" but they are definitely a rugged shoe not supposed to be fancy or elegant and they aren't - real tough looking.

First pair of Keens, will buy more - I had heard that Keens were comfortable and have an ample toe box - all of that is true. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I live in the mountains and find that the sole has very good grip on ice and snow and overall the shoe is very stable on uneven ground even though I tend to pronate when I walk. The removable footbed is great and I've had no fatigue, even with my very flat arches. I ordered a half size up from my usual and the fit is perfect... although I do wear merino wool socks in this climate. The only fault I noticed is very minor: the substantial soles sometimes pick up a stone, so I have to be careful that I don't scratch the wood floors when I come inside. However, the soles are so stable and grippy that it's a tiny thing to deal with. Five stars all around. I would buy this shoe again without hesitation.

The Best - Love these shoes. So comfortable. I wear them every day. Perfect for winter time.

Great walikng trail shoe! I have used my shoes for over 3 weeks now and they are great for hiking our very hilly property. I ordered a half size larger as per some other reviews and they fit perfectly. I have the Venice sandals and they fit me very true to size (6). Love the arch support , traction and color--tomato!

Keen's are great - This is my third pair of keen's. Living in Colorado, they're a great bad-weather day shoe, plus they come in groovy colors. This particular style seems to run smaller than others, perhaps because it doesn't really lace up, just slips on. The heal cup is also slightly narrow.

Nice - Nice overall, but rubs on the heel a bit - still getting used to that.

Dakota shoe lace - We loved our Keen Dakota shoes. The only problem was when my 7 yr old son went to put them on before school, the lace broke. You know when you have a great pair of NEW shoes in the 2nd grade, it's kinda a big deal! I called Zappos and they had him a new pair the very next day. Thank you for making his week. They are great!!!

Exactly what I was looking for - This is exactly what I wanted; a cold weather shoe with water resistance, good tread, comfort, classic styling. As with prior purchases of Keen, I upsized and purchased a size 9 when I would normally fit in an 8 1/2. These are slightly heavy, but to me it feels solid, like good support and insulation. I really like the way they adjust/slip-on. They were comfortable right out of the box!

Be careful about buying larger size on these - On Keen strap shoes, it's always good to order a 1/2 size larger but not on these. They’re fine with heavy socks but...Otherwise I really love the shoes and love the look. You just can't beat Keen shoes.

Met my expectations - I've worn my first pair of Keen shoes - Mary Janes - for three years now, and have really enjoyed them. While I have tried on other styles between then and now, the Dakota was the first pair that felt right. There was no period of "break in". I just put them on and went on my way. I especially like the look of them with jeans and would highly recommend them.

Keens are great shoes! I love Keen Shoes! I work in retail and walk a lot! I have 3 pairs, 1 boot style, 1 sandal and this pair. I have trouble with shoes and look for comfort all the time. This shoe does bother a little on the heel and on my front part of my shoe, where it laces. It took time to soften that area but now it feels great.

Keen Review - I stepped out of the box with these shoes. After wearing them a couple times, I really do love them. They are so comfortable. I did have to order a 1/2 size up for a comfortable fit.

Great shoe! I love these shoes! Very comfortable, and very funky. They fit a little tight at first, but I'd had other Keen loafers that loosened a bit over the course of several days, and these did, too - they fit perfectly. And it was unbelievable how fast Zappos got them here - less than 24 hours! Zappos rocks!

Great Rain Shoe - I got the Teal color and they look great. They keep your feet dry and warm, and they give excellent support. Put them on the first time and wore them for 5 hours walking at the zoo when it was cold and drizzling. My feet were the only part of me that stayed warm!

Comfy, Dry and Warm - These shoes fit like a comfy old friend right out of the box. They are really cute as well as practical. I love them and have two pairs. I wear a 6.5 -7 normally and needed to order a 7.5. They are nice and wide giving wiggle room for the toes. Basically, they would be good shoes for a duck. They grip the ground in the rain so that they are good shoes for a duck who wants to go off - roading in the rain.

The Dakota Shoes Keep My Feet Warm and Dry - I have appreciated these shoes because they kept my feet warm and dry throughout this winter. We have had some slushy days lately. I find them to be sturdy in slippery areas and comfortable to wear. Great foot support. The only problem I have found is they bite the back of my heel. I found more comfort with one size larger than my foot size.

Keen's Dakota is SOO Comfortable! I LOVE this shoe. (Actually, I haven't found a Keen shoe that I haven't loved!) The Dakota is roomy and comfortable, while providing excellent support.

Love, love, love them!! I got these Keen Dakota shoes and I think they ROCK!! Immediately after receiving them, I slipped them on. We walk about 3 1/2 miles a day and I did that with these with no problem. Its like they come broken in. I love the bungee laces and just think they're wonderful shoes!!!

Love the shoes - Now that the shoes are broken in they are my new favorite pair. They are very comfortable.
