Great shoe -
Received these as a gift. I spend a lot of time in the woods with my dog and these are great. Just hose them off when they get dirty and they're like new! Very comfortable, lots of toe room. Love Them!

Keene Rules -
My first pair of Keens. I wanted a sturdy, waterproof shoe for our planned trip to Gettysburg, PA in October. I put them on this am to break them in - I'm never taking them off. I'm between a size 4.5 & 5. Took a chance and ordered the 5. They fit like a glove - just wide enough to accommodate a snug fit. Thanks Zappos.

As comfortable as Newports -
This is one zippy slip-on. In my initial wearing it feels as comfortable as my tried-and-true Keen Newport sandals. I've been looking for a good Keen for wintertime (no holes), and it seems like I've found it. I have a wide foot and don't like a shoe that comes up too high on the instep. So far so good. I haven't worn it a full day yet. (As with all Keens, I ordered up a size).

GREAT NEW STYLE FROM KEEN!
This shoe fits me for sure! I wanted a nice waterproof style for the fall/winter and I found this with Keen! It's easier for me to remove the foot pad since I will be wearing socks with these shoes. Once again, Keen has done it again!

I love Keen! Great support for walking.
I bought the teal Dakota. This wasn't available in NYC anywhere even to try on much less buy, so I took a look on the internet and Zappos was the only site that had the colors I wanted in the shoes (teal) and the Dakota boots (brown). I have tried them on with the medium weight socks I prefer and the fit is great and they look really cute for a pair of foul-weather shoes. I wear sometimes a 9 1/2 (in sandals) and sometimes a 10, so a 10 was perfect. My bunion loves the roomy toe in Keens and the toe protection is comforting on the subway. The good support makes walking miles a pleasure. Keens are my "no excuses" shoes; rain, snow or shine, I can get out and walk.

Keens are Keepers!
The Keen Dakota shoes support the arch of the foot and are very durable in inclement weather.
I've tried other brands but keep coming back to Keen. Their shoes just don't wear out, which is a testament to their quality. I am used to going through a pair of shoes every other month in Chicago with the variations in weather and the pounding of the pavement that I do, and Keen's shoes wear on no matter what weather blows through, i.e., rain, snow, ice, dry mud, wet mud. The Keen Dakota are an all round family shoe from the 1st day of school to the last day of summer. Keens are Keepers! Thank you.

The best -
I just bought these shoes. I tried the black/black, black/red, and black/olive. The back of the black/black and black/red came to a different spot on the back of my ankle/foot and were not as comfortable for me as the black/olive. The black/red was my favorite color, followed by black/olive (which I bought). I can't wait for a cold wet day to wear them. I know that they will be my favorite shoe of the winter. I think that I would be able to wear them with or without socks. They are very warm and toasty without being hot (it was 90 degrees when I tried them on, and my feet didn't sweat in them). They have Keen's wonderful arch support and are plenty wide enough for my very wide feet. They are similar in sizing and feel to my Keen Providence's (with the back - not the clog).

Overall good shoe, eventually -
I loved the look of this shoe and a close friend recommended it to me, however it was not a good fit right away. I had problems with the heel of the left shoe causing extreme pain and discomfort. I have never experienced that with any other type of shoe before. In the end the shoes ended up costing me more for the heel protectors and new low arch inserts that I bought just to make the shoe more comfortable. Had I thought it through I would have sent the shoes back instead of trying other things. I can say now though that they are rather comfy.

Didn't fit as I expected -
I hate to sully the names of Keen and Zappos because I love them both. But I had some frustration with these shoes. My experience with Keen's is that I need to order a half size up. This may not be true for everyone but I have a sensitive scar from foot surgery. When I received these shoes, they seemed extra roomy. I wore them around a day or two, and then they began to hurt. At that point they weren't "in the same condition as received" and I couldn't return them for a smaller size. The good news is that I am now used to them and wear them all the time. But I feel that Zappos return policy isn't quite broad enough because sometimes you don't know a shoe is wrong for you until you've put in some miles in it.

Keen Dakota -
Is great in the rain and snow. Is a little stiff on the heel and was not as comfortable on the first wear as my six other pairs of Keens!

Keen Dakota shoe -
I love my Keen Dakota boots, so I wanted to get the shoes in a different color. I was surprised when they fit smaller than my boots considering they have the same size footbed. But after a few days of wearing them in they loosened up a bit and are quite comfortable now. I would recommend getting a half size larger in these. I absolutely love the style and the teal color. And they are great for snowy and rainy weather.

Keen Dakota -
I like the look of them. They're a little too casual for the office, but I wear them there anyway since we're not that formal. The fit is good, but need to be worn with thinner sox. Still, they're quite warm, although the weather hasn't been that cold yet. The only problem is the arch support. Since I have flat feet, it's hard for me to stand in them for any length of time.

I LOVE Keens!
I have numerous styles of Keens, and these are great shoes. They are comfortable, and I get lots of positive comments on them. While they are "waterproof", they keep your feet drier than most in the rain, but walking in puddles will saturate them.

You may want a larger size -
These are great...except... they do come up a little high in the back and rub - I might have gone for a bigger size so thicker socks would have helped. It didn't bother me until I had worn them walking for several hours.

Clown shoes -
I was looking for a good pair of rain muckers. Since I had bought Keen before, I already knew they are a quality brand with good support. The teal was a nice shot of color. But, they are very hard to get on, and even worse if you are wearing socks. I found the arch to be high enough that after a short amount of time, I had to take them off. The toe box, although comfortable, sort of made me feel like I was wearing clown shoes.

Outside shell not very soft -
The wide space in the toes is excellent for comfort. The outside shell is somewhat hard. Cushioned socks helped. Inside the shoe the black dye wears off on light colored socks. I took to wearing black socks at first and now it has gotten a bit better. The dye does come off the socks when washed.

Not as good as expected.
Let me start by saying I probably have weird feet: wide forefoot, very narrow heels, low to middling arch, and a high instep. The shoe is fine in the forefoot even with thick socks, but it's a bit snug in the instep, and way too wide in the heel. Also, the toggle won't keep the laces tight enough to keep my heel in shoe, as the toggle slides up the laces when I walk.
