You Wear Them And They Will Look - The Keen Brank offers a wider shoe than most and this is what I need. They have great looks and comfort and you get great looks from other people who will ask you the brand. They also give great support. Keep up the good work.

My left foot is slightly smaller than my right so the support that runs along the toes felt like it wasn't hitting correctly on the left at first. After about two weeks this was no longer an issue. I now find these shoes very comfortable and often wear them around the house for awhile after coming home from a 10 hour work shift. I walk all day on work on concrete covered by a thin layer of carpet and my feet never become sore. My foot never slides forward in these shoes like they did in the Born Toledo's I tried because the anatomical last seems to fit my foot very well and holds it in place. The traction on the bottom of these shoes is the best I have ever had in casual dress shoes! These are like Velcro on carpet and I feel very sure footed outdoors as well. I haven't had them through a Michigan winter yet but I'm sure they will be great. I like them so much I may buy a brown pair so I don't wear these out to fast.

Great Shoes - They fit well, and are comfortable. The brown in the potting soil color is lighter than pictured. Shipping was amazingly fast.

The comfortable fit - Just what I wanted. The fit was right and the comfort is incredible. The look is a little getting used to, but overall it's a great shoe.

Great shoe, but the lacing needs reworked. I bought a pair of the black/mink Austin's a little over a year ago. While I love the shoe it has some drawbacks that need to be pointed out. I first must say, that like all Keen's it's an incredibly comfortable shoe and gives great support. However, the lacing system needs to be reworked. The metal lace holes shred the laces. They also have a tendency to loosen very quickly after cinching up. I thought it was just me but a friend of mine recently got the same shoes and has the same problem. I think in the year I've had them I've replaced the laces four or five times. Again, the shoe is great other than that. Keen might want to rework the construction a bit.

Good but not Keens best effort - Keens are one of my favorites because they are wider than the norm and incredibly comfortable. These seemed to be a little narrower than most Keens I have, but they did stretch out and feel fine now.

These shoes are very difficult to get comfortable. Clunky to wear although the styling is quite attractive. Unfortunately, I do not need clunky in my hoe repertoire.

The right shoe arrived with a shoe lace obviously meant for a different size shoe. It is much too short.

I wear 8s. The 8s were way too big. These fit better, but the right shoe feels tight. Maybe my right foot is bigger, but not this much bigger. Even though still snug (right foot). They've broken in and I wear them to work, so most of my time is spent sitting or walking short distances. If these were for longer distances, I would have returned them. Also I originally bought a few different sizes of these. The 8s had better laces, but I returned that size because they were too big. The sheath on the laces (for the size 7.5 shoes) is opening up so that you can see the lighter colored core. I don't know what that is about.

The shoe is a bit clunky in design and for a larger foot looks like a clown shoe.

Like every Keen shoe I have ever tried, the shoes are crazy comfortable. This model is just a little too casual to really go anywhere "nice", so I went with some nicer shoes.

I’ve worn these shoes for a couple of months. I walk between 2 & 3 miles per day. If you have a narrow foot (C or narrower) l would not recommend this shoe because it is too wide. When I initially put the shoe on I noticed what appeared to be a flaw in the left shoe where the tongue meets the body of the shoe. It rubbed the top of my foot. I thought it might go away so I did not return the shoes (bad mistake). The flaw has not gone away and I will probably have to quit wearing them because the are so uncomfortable. To bad, because I have a pair of Keen sandals that are great. Per some of the other reviews, I feel that Keen’s quality level has deteriorated.

Maybe it's just my feet, but the shoe dug in uncomfortably behind the top of the lace section.

I have owned several pairs of Keen shoes in different styles through the years and had high hopes that these would be as good as the rest. Sadly, the tongue on the shoe is so stiff that it hurt the top of my foot, especially when I squatted to tie my shoe. I also found the laces to be a bit short, and the lacing a bit stiff through the eyelets when trying to make fit adjustments.

Box said Gargoyle but the shoe was dark, not as pictured. The arch support means should probably go up a half or full size. Good looking shoe. Returning and hope the next size up fits well.

I like the fit and I liked the fact they're waterproof. What I didn't like was they were two klunky -- really stiff and loud soles. Sounded like a platoon of soldiers marching by.

Like the style of the shoe, but found it less comfortable than expected. Stable base, but feel point of discomfort on top outside of forefoot at rest, not just when walking, which is more than what I would expect to need to "break-in" with wear. Have to return.

This is the 2nd pair of the Keen Austin model that I have purchased. I bought them again because the fist pair were durable and I liked the way they looked. Also, they were comfortable and offered decent support for walking on trails through the woods. However, the first pair felt more comfortable than this most recent pair. The arch supports feel weird on my feet...like there is support on the on wrong side of my foot. Specifically, it feels like there is more support on the outside of my arch instead of the inside, which is where I would expect it to be. I'm hoping that in time, I will get used to this. It just doesn't feel quite right at the moment. Overall, I still like the look and durability I get with these shoes.

I desperately wanted to like these shoes, even though in person they are uglier than they appear online. The sole support is amazing and feel like they'd be great for travel and uneven surfaces. However, I could never get the leather around the ankle to break in, and they wound up remaining quite uncomfortable. I've never had a shoe be too tight around the ankle, and so resistant to breaking in. I regret this purchase.

This is the third time trying to find correct size. I usually wear size 11 - was way too big; tried 10.5 and it was still too long. Tried 10 and it was too narrow. Great looking shoe; just didn't fit well for me.

NOT THE OLD AUSTINS This is an inferior quality shoe compared to the older ones. The width is MUCH narrower, the leather is not as good (mine warped over the toes within two months) and the seams are not as solid. I had two pairs of the former Austins. They lasted a long time (without requiring much care) were very comfortable for my wide feet, and they looked great. This new model is CHEAP. They don't last nearly as long and they look kind of crappy too. Head's up for those of you who were thinking you'd be getting the same shoe. Sad to say, Keen really cut some corners on this one.

Purchased and wore out a pair of Keen Portsmouths. They were the most comfortable I've ever owned. They were well made, I just wore them out cause they were seldom not on my feet. Could not find them in my size again so tried the Austins, but was disappointed in the comfort. They look to be well made also, but were not comparable in how they felt on my feet. Zappos was very understandable and worked with me to my satisfaction. I will still consider Keens in the future as well as Zappos.
