Tevas last and last which is why I tend to buy a size up. For one they tend to run small and secondly I like my 3 year old to be able to wear them for a long time. They also have anti bacterial properties which keep them from getting stinky! Great toddler shoes!

I have been ordering this same shoe for years for my son for a very different reason than most. My son has cerebral palsy and needs toe protection when he walks with his crutches. These are fairly cool and not too heavy and allow him the comfort of sandals while protecting his toes from getting scraped. He also uses these in showers for more stability and for swimming. Although all rubber sandals cause sweating, these Teva's seem to not be as bad as other brands we tried, in terms of sweating and odors. The one flaw we have found is that, after some wear, the inner upper toe seam tends to wear down, and toenails get caught. Other than that, this is a great shoe.

I started to look for an alternative to the Keen sandals that my son had outgrown. They were really cute and fit great, but his feet and the sandals smelled bad after he wore them. A friend got Teva sandals for her daughter and said that she didn't have the odor problem (she also got stinky feet/sandals with the Keens), so I looked into this brand based on her experience. So far, they're great! I knew these were a winner when I had my son wear them around the house for a test drive and he didn't try to take them off, even an hour after I put them on him. They are really cute and easy to put on/take off his wide, chubby feet. FYI, the colors are more vibrant than what is shown in the photo.

We recently received this so can't quite tell how it will perform over the summer, but my 5 year old son finds it comfortable, easy to put on/take off. It seems sturdier than a sandal as it has a thick sole, a contoured foot bed and the toe box area seems reinforced (not easily compressed) so toes are protected. The sole of the shoe is bi-layered: the part that contacts the ground is hard, while the layer that contacts the foot is softer and compressible. The velco strap has an interesting design: there is a rubber tab (where the "hand" symbol is on the picture) which is stitched onto the velcro strap that secures the sandal. I assume its purpose is to make it easy for little hands to find the velcro tab and pull it off -- which is a nice feature (as long as it is durable and the stitching doesn't pull away).I had to return the first pair and get a size larger. I noticed another reviewer also mentions having to order a larger size.

This is the third summer we have bought these for our son, now 5. He jumps, runs, slides and these shoes offer great support, traction and toe protection! The toe part is very hard so when he drags his feet on his bike. He doesn't feel it. Love them!

A great price for a durable, lightweight shoe with a good name behind it. They fit perfect to the size of my son’s regular shoe. Comfortable and attractive. Maybe a bit juvenile in appearance; my son is 10 and used to a “traditional” TEVA.

Had to get a half size up, then fit perfectly with and without socks. Looks great in the blue and yellow color. My 7 year old son uses his Dozers daily at his summer day camp which includes daily swimming. He has not had to bring an extra pair for walking around the pool. These shoes are not water-proof though. We had to dunk them in water to get grime off from stepping in mud puddles during a canoe trip. They took a day to dry in humid Maine summer weather. But after they dried they looked good as new. My daughter and I have the same pair: hers in pink, mine in the women's mermaid color. We also had to switch to a half size up (speedy return processing from Zappos as usual). They they tend to run a little short, although they are very roomy in the toe box. Three other positive points compared to similar amphibious fisherman sandals (Keens), are that they don't tend to make your feet look like duck feet, they don't have a funny smell, and they are much lighter (I ordered a pair of Keens before I settled on my Dozer).

My 5 year old son wanted Tevas after I got mine. I did not even think they made them in his size, but I looked on Zappos and sure enough, they do! So of course I got them and must say they are nice, the Dozer is a good all around sandal that he can wear with play clothes and also look good with dressier clothes. He is very happy to have Tevas like Mom and Dad. Thank you Zappos!

We live in Ohio and I bought these shoes in March, so it will be a few months before we really get to put them to the test, but my son loves the look and says he can run real fast in them! I bought these for my 8 yr old to take on a cruise which "ported" in many different locations and many different excursions. I wanted his toes kept safe. He, like his mother, complains about the comfort of a shoe (our feet have a refined "palate") and yet not one shake of his head. He wore them the entire (8 days) time. They do however run VERY true to size. They fit perfectly, "like a glove" which is not always desirable with the hopes of getting another season out of them.

I ordered these for my 5 1/2 son. He is a 10.5 or an 11. I went with toddler’s size 11. These shoes are fabulous. They went right out of the box onto his feet and he wore them all day. The next day he had field day and wore them again. No blisters, very comfy, cute. They are sturdy and yet flexible like a sandal. He doesn't wear socks with them.

My boys love them -
Definitely, the look appealed to my boys, 7 and 8. I think it's a great mix between a sandal and a closed toe shoe. According to my sons they're very comfortable and so far, we didn't have any blisters etc. Very satisfied with price, quality, and look.
However, there was a big difference between the toddler size (13) and youth size 1. It was a bit difficult to find the right size because of that.

My son is thin, but has wide feet. We have tried so many sandals and this is the only one that fits right. My son also has difficulty with balance and this shoe made him feel like he is walking with no shoes at all! Soft, flexible sole, nothing rubs or irritates.

I purchased these shoes for my son for a trip to Disneyworld, which means lots of walking. He wore them almost everyday and did not break them in before left considering they are a summer shoe and we live in the Chicago area. He said they were very comfortable and had no problems with rubbing or blisters. These shoes are great and I would order them again when they are too small. Zappos is the best place for finding sandals in the winter.
