Fit review - The shoe fits well, I do wish it had a slightly wider toe box and narrower heal, or at least lace holes lower on the ankle for a tighter fit.

Almost perfect - I got a 7D. All-in-all, it is a very nice, comfortable shoe. However, It would be even better if it were a little wider. Otherwise, I love the shoe.

These shoes are great to walk in; they have a nice transition when moving from heel to toe. Lots of room for the toes to stretch and has very breathable fabric. If I had to add one thing it would be a tad bit more arch support. But overall I love the fit, love the color, the fabric and the comfort. This is a great shoe, thank you Zappos!

A very comfortable running shoe - not quite as much arch support as I'd like, but my feet/legs feel good after running in them. I bought the black shoes, and they are a lot shinier than they look in the picture - bright reflective stuff underneath the black mesh on top. Not bad looking, but not exactly subtle, either. Better than the omnipresent white+pastel combinations you usually find in women's running shoes! I usually wear size 7.0-7.5, but definitely needed an 8 in this shoe.

New Balance - Shoes are comfy. Relieves some pressure on the heels. Lace are too long.

I love New Balance shoes and typically find them top be very comfortable. I found that this shoe had less than adequate arch support and it didn't feel as wide as marked to me. There is a small strip of leather along the sole of the shoe that rubbed my foot wrong. It is a good looking shoe, but unfortunately I had to return them.

New Balance W8505 Review - I needed to start walking to take off some excess weight and looked for a decent walking shoe. I have enjoyed the shoes and have not had any problems. I was particularly impressed by Zappos customer service response when I initially returned the first pair of shoes (they were one size too small for my feet). I had the larger size pair within a few days and didn't have to go through the inconvenience of the credit and re-debit procedure. Really excellent service and free shipping to boot. You can't beat that!

New Balance just isn't for me - I tried NB on the advice of the doctor, and I know of the brand's great reputation. I had high hopes. But, I guess NB shoes are just too stiff for me. It's a personal preference -- I just don't find them comfortable. If you like NB these are probably like all their other shoes.

Great Looking but Not Comfy - These are fabulous looking shoes. Unfortunately the soles are very unforgiving-they don't bend with your foot. I contacted New Balance and they offered to examine mine for defects but I don't think mine are defective, I think they are uncomfortable. The hard plastic on the outer edge of the shoe isn’t flexible enough for a real workout.

Not For Me - Love the look of the shoe. No cushion in forefoot or heel. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day and after one hour my feet hurt. They are now in the back of my closet.

Don’t ever judge a book by its cover - When I saw this shoe, I was so excited because finally I could have comfort and not sacrifice looks. However, when I got the shoe I could barely fit my foot into it. I ended up giving them to my sister. They are unusually narrow for NB -- If you are going to get these I highly recommend getting them in Wide and a half size up. That's just me though.

Not for high arched people - This shoe is not for high arched people. Even though it is listed as a shoe for underpronators, there is little in the way of arch support. I tried it on and could feel nothing under my arch whatsoever. Not good because I run a lot.

Not happy - I have always had New Balance for running shoes in the past so ordered the teal ones. When I got them they looked cute but they were not comfortable. They felt stiff and narrow. They did not feel like any other New Balance's I ever had. I had to return them. :(

Ouch! Not for Wide Feet! These are nice shoes if they fit properly - quality and style - though overpriced. I have been wearing wide shoes all my life and I ordered these in a 9 Wide. The other reviews about the large toe box etc. made me very hopeful these would be a comfortable fit, but owwwie, the top half of my foot felt like they were in a synthetic upper straightjacket, in fact my foot actually made a huge bump next to my big toe where it was tightest. At the widest point of my foot (base of big toe joint to base of little toe), my foot measures 4 1/4 inches, and from the sole of this part next to my big toe to the top of my foot it measures 1 1/4 inches high. I should mention the length felt great - right on for a size 9. I wonder if stretching these somehow at home or professionally would work - I don't know but I don't see how given they are not leather. If your foot is anywhere near my size in width, I would advise you to steer clear of these shoes and probably any other New Balance in synthetic materials.

Weird heel - Didn't like the cut-out heel at all. Can't wait for this particular fad to pass! After all, we're not all teenagers out here. Also, this shoe looks very wide on the foot (I have a B width). It felt the correct width, just made the foot look wide.

Not very comfy - This shoe is way too stiff, it never softened up and it looks cheap! Would have sent these back, but never really got around to it.

Very cute, but very uncomfortable - This is a great looking shoe which is what caught my eye. I have worn New Balance shoes for running in the past and have been pleased. However, it didn't take longer than a couple of steps into my run to realize that these shoes were way too stiff. I literally could not run in them at all. The sole is very inflexible and the cushioning is minimal. I ended up returning them which is too bad because they were so adorable! Zappos was very accommodating though and fantastic about this return. I do not buy shoes anywhere else any longer.

Yucky - I tried these on at a local retailer cuz I didn't want to have to pay, get them, try them on and then find out they didn't fit... I have very specific needs, I have high arches and sesamoiditis (i.e. the bottom part of my foot just below my big toe makes the most contact with shoes, so I constantly have pain and inflammation in that area) so I need extra cushioning... this shoe had NEITHER. No arch support like it claims, and no extra cushioning... it says this shoe is recommended for someone with my needs... I don't think so. It doesn't even come CLOSE. I bought a pair of Asics that had everything I needed and for a fraction of the price. I really liked the way these look but that's about all I can give them.
