Great right out of box - I wore these shoes on trip to China, right out of the box all day to the Great wall and they felt great. At end of very lo9ng day, didn't have bottom of foot pain, as I have in my running shoes. Had bought Ecco Golf shoes and felt so comfortable in them, decided to trying running/walking shoe. Would highly recommend this sneaker and their golf shoes.

Great walking shoes - It's the second pair of this particular brand of Ecco that I have gotten for walking. It gives great support -- a little narrower in the toe, but that works great for me. As always, immediate shipping from Zappos.

Got this shoe for my 15 yr old daughter, who is in her 1st year in cross country running in high school. She had a nice pair of New Balance running shoes, but was having pains in her knees and shins. She loves these Ecco shoes, is running pain-free, and is getting faster too!

The BEST - I started wearing Ecco sneakers several years ago when my sister recommended them. She and I both suffer from back pain and her physical therapist told her to get the Eccos. They have helped with the back pain a great deal. In addition, I love all the vents and the light weight - keeps your feet more cool and comfortable, especially in the hot weather.

Ecco Performance RXP 3040 review - Bought the Silver/Red/Plum. The picture does not really show how silver they are. Was not really crazy about the silver, the picture makes them look like they are more cream. Sent back size 8-8.5. Felt a little small. So I ordered another pair in 9-9.5 but had to get the white/blue. If you order these I would order a size up. But all in all heel was really spongy but no way could I put my orthotic in them. Hope the bigger size I can put in the orthotic. Zappos is the only place on the web that we buy shoes from. If Zappos does not have the brand we want, then I guess we do not really need the shoe. You can not beat the service. Order the shoes one day and the next say the box is on your front porch. Thank you Zappos for such great service.

Relief from Plantar Fasciitis - I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for months and tried many different shoes but none has provided the relief that these have. They are very light, offer tremendous support and will accommodate orthotics. I am delighted and I'm wearing them all day, every day. I will definitely be buying another pair. My podiatrist was very impressed with them too.

Help for Plantar Fasciitis - After figuring out that I had plantar fasciitis, I quickly searched for shoes that would offer support and help to eliminate some of my pain. These shoes fit the bill! In less than a week of wearing them, my heel is virtually pain free. I normally wear a size 8 shoe, but my feet are wide, so I opted for size 39. They fit like a glove. You can't go wrong with this shoe if you have aching/problem feet. I am a teacher and stand all day long. When I get home, my feet feel fine. In fact, I love them so much, I want another pain in pink!

Great Shoe - I have narrow, flat feet with a high instep. These are the BEST sneakers I have come across. I need to wear orthotics and when I place them in this shoe, they are supportive and comfortable. It is the second time I have purchased them. Also, these shoes last a long time. Even my Podiatrist noticed how long I have owned these shoes and how great they are wearing. He told me that he is recommending them to many of his patients...

My second pair! This is by far the best walking shoe I have ever had. I was glad they were still a current style when I decided to get a second pair. They fit perfect, have excellent support, and as a bonus they look great and I get a lot of compliments on them. I always tell everyone that I got them at Zappos.com!

Ecco Performance RXP 3040 Rocks - I will be buying my third pair of Eccos RXP 3040's and hope they continue to make this excellent, well fitting running shoe. It is the most continually comfortable shoe I have ever owned.

Wow what a comfortable shoe - I agree with many of the reviews I have read for this brand of shoe, in that my biggest complaint is that now all my other shoes feel awful. These shoes are great; I can walk for hours with much less discomfort than with any other tennis shoe. The store I bought them at only had them in blue, so I'm ordering them in pink. Much more my style.

Be Careful with Sizing - I actually had to replace my first pair of these shoes. I chose my size carefully, and test wore the shoes; everything seemed fine. I wore them to the track at the gym and was happy for the entire 3 miles. Never gave a thought to my feet. When I changed shoes, then I started feeling a pain in the toe next to the big toe. I have Morton's toe, fairly common, where that second toe is longer than the big toe. Anyway, it turned out that I'd bruised the toe-- the nail was discolored. I wear an 8-1/2 usually so I thought the 9 9-1/2 would do it, as another reviewer had suggested. Not quite. But what was so strange is that I experienced no pain until afterward. Maybe the shoes are just so otherwise comfy and light that somehow that pain didn't register.

Excellent shoe - I ordered this shoe the day before I left for a week vacation to San Diego (I live in IL). I walked all day for 7 days and worked out in the gym everyday and they were awesome. No foot pain, no discomfort at all - just sheer comfort! I read a lot of reviews before I purchased them and I read nothing negative. Thanks!

Wow! What a great running shoe! I only tried on this shoe to appease the sales guy. After I had it on, I didn't want to take it off. When I walked/ran in it (in the store), it felt like a spring was pushing me right back after my foot strike. I've run only for a few days in my new shoes, but feel like this shoe will last a while! Overall, it's got suppport in the right places, great cushioning and fabulous spring. Plus, it looks pretty darn good!

My Favorite Shoe - I love this shoe so much, I have two pairs. It is my main running shoe, light on the foot, good on the fit, airs nicely and good bounce. I imagine myself to be winged Mercury, when running in them.

What a Surprise! I initially bought the Receptor for a walking shoe. It fit wonderfully, and it had no break-in period. When I started running with it, I was amazed how comortable they were. I land heavily, and I have high arches. This shoe has metal plates under the rubber heels, and it has a plate under the arch. The landing is balanced on the foot, and the lift-off is natural. With other shoes, even those with arch support, my arches flatten, my legs bow to one side or the other, resulting in sore knees and pronation. These shoes keep your legs balanced. They breathe, they are light, and they are great for running on pavement. I like them so much, I ordered two. Again, no first time break-in on a good run, With the European sizing, I went up a half size. (If you wear 8 1/2, go for a 40) Note that the Ecco RXP 3040 comes in two colors: Silver/Tomato and Blue/White.

Very comfortable shoes if you can figure out the sizing. I typically wear a 7.5 sandal and an 8.5 tennis shoe. The first pair I ordered in a 8.0-8.5 and as they fit, they were very tight around the top of the foot and began to aggravate the beginning stages of neuroma that I have. The second pair I ordered up, a 9.0-9.5 and they are perfect. My toes can wiggle around and there is no pressure in that area. The heal fits perfect with no moving around. The overall look of these shoes is very stylish. I also love Zappos' fast and efficient ordering and shipping, as I placed my order by 3:00 p.m. and received them by 2:00 p.m. the next day.

Initially I loved the shoe but only 6 weeks after purchasing them, they are already starting to break down (especially the backs).

These shoes were really cushy and comfy. However, I normally wear a size 9 1/2 in athletic shoes, and ordered the size 40. They turned out to be too small in the toe box. I usually like to have a narrow shoe for the extra support, but these were super narrow. If you have a regular width foot, I suggest you order the next size up.

I bought these shoes for a 10-day trip to Ireland, and they worked out really well. They are designed so that you naturally roll from your heel to your toe. The upper material is almost like mesh, so my feet didn't get very hot, but since they are so thin and light weight they would probably soak your feet in the rain (ironically, it did not rain the entire time we were in Ireland). I have a very high arch, so I did use an arch support with these shoes. I would guess that I walked at least 5 miles every day, and I never had lower back or shine pain like I would typically get in other shoes.

Great shoe, great service! I love my new Ecco. They are super comfortable and supportive and true to size. As athletic shoes go, they are very nice looking (for work out shoes). I could have used a tiny bit more arch support, but that is just my foot. Other than that, they are practically perfect in every way. Zappos is the best! Great shoes and excellent service.

I wanted to like them more - The look is good for an athletic shoe. I own another pair of casual Ecco shoes I love. These athletic shoes, however, seem to have 'support' on the lateral side of the heels, which caused me pain, narrowness in the arch, and seem to run about half a size smaller than size.

Good Shoe - I have a VERY narrow foot and this was the best fit I've had in years as far as width. However, I have no arches and this shoe could have used a little better arch support. I used my orthotics with them. Still, I still recommend them - you can't go wrong with Eccos of any kind and the style is really nice.
