I read a bunch of negative reviews of this shoe on the Adidas site and was almost scared off from buying them, but was so sick of how unsupportive my Converse All Stars were and just really craved a basic looking sneaker to wear on the weekends while leading my middle aged working Mom lifestyle. Well I am so glad I gave them a try because they are everything I was looking for. Super comfortable, cute enough, and not heavy at all. I am not using them to play tennis, but I walked 4 miles or so in them the other day and they felt great. I love these shoes. If you are looking for a more comfortable alternative to Converse I strongly advise trying these out. Note, I wear a 7.5 or a 7 and got these in a 5.5 mens and they fit great.

I normally wear a 6 1/2 women's and so I ordered the suggested 5 1/2 men's and that was a mistake--definitely order 1/2 size smaller than usual. Additionally, from what I hear these are klonkier and heavier than previous issues, which IS disappointing, but unless you plan on playing a sport in these, you should be good. The sneakers look quite cool, of course, so any missteps (pun) in engineering are forgiven by truly iconic styling.

I really like the retro style and quality construction, with the leather bumper around the edge. This is definitely a firmer shoe than a running shoe. The soft support is in the front of the foot and the arch support is only moderate. Since I have a pronation tendency I had to buy a more supportive insole for maximum comfort. I bought these for tennis and they are fine.

Love these sneakers. True to size - I wear an 8.5 US. The only thing I hate is that they get dirty so easily and quickly. I even sprayed them with a protective coating; it doesn't seem to help.

Great product for the price. Because of minimal padding, the edge of the tongue can pinch a little towards the toes.

These are my favorite Adidas now that Stan Smiths are no longer available (though I was told in the Adidas Store that they will be back next year, 2014). This model is narrower than other Adidas I've owned.

Good looking with a solid sole and good support when hustling around. Use these only for tennis and so far they are OK. They are a bit high around the ankle for me, giving a bit of chafing on the bottom of the ankle joint. Also the toe portion is narrower than other Adidas tennis products I've used, so I'm hoping that will break in over the next month or so. They breathe really well which is important to me.

The shoes felt a little narrow at first, but after about a month of breaking into, but after that they feel completely comfortable. It goes without saying that it's very nice design and original. I really like wearing these shoes with some khaki shorts.

At first this shoe was fairly uncomfortable, but as I wore it more, they became "softer". So now I can wear them for 9+ hours and they feel great. Definitely recommend them. Well worth the price.

My second pair. Good solid Adidas. I bought these to replace the discontinued Stan Smith black/white version. The mesh makes this one a lot lighter, but the white surround does get marred quickly.

Great sneaks, but they do run a half size small. Also, if your feet are more than a little wide, they might not fit well.

Minimalist construction for a tennis shoe, but reasonably comfortable. Sole is very slick until worn on abrasive surfaces for a while. Laces are very cheap and flimsy, but overall workmanship and construction are excellent for a shoe in this price range.

I ordered these primarily to play tennis in and have found them slow to break in. I promptly developed blisters on the small toe of each foot, where the seam passes down to the toe box. The arch is a bit uncomfortable too, I feel the edge of the insole against the arch of my foot. All that said, I still really like the shoes and after several matches in them I feel like they may be wearing in, finally. I still need to tape one of my toes due to rubbing on the seam. On the court they provide solid steps and the reinforcement around over the toe box is key. They are light but sturdy and seem to span the top of my foot comfortably - I don't need to crank the laces, they have a nice overall fit. Lastly, the style appeals to me, and the shoe is definitely still court-worthy despite its older design. Note: For sizing reference, I wear 10.5 in New Balance, an 11 in Nike and an 11 in this pair of Adidas.

Great shoes, but go one .5 size up. I'm a 10 but my toes were at the end of the 10. I returned for a 10.5. I'm very happy now.

These just never go out of style. Been wearing them since the '80s! Order a half size up, I wear a 9 and 9.5 is just right. Great shoes for balance for Seniors who need a flat shoe too!

The tone of the green is a little bit different than it appears and the shoes may hurt your feet in the first few days. not the best kind for long walks.

Overall, I like these shoes, with two issues: 1) They're sized small. I ended up needing to return a pair and re-order a half-size larger. 2) The tread of the shoe is very slippery out of the box -- I'm assuming that this is a good thing on a tennis court (where my pair will never end up) and that regular wear will undo that.

Great insole for canvas shoes, better than Chuck Taylors. Watch out for very slick bottoms - I sanded them down because I was falling all over the place. I don't play tennis, but they're great summer shoes.

Not much to complain about with this shoe. There's no arch support and traction is next to nothing. Unless you plan to do a lot of moon walking or all the sidewalks in your town are like a tennis court, be careful with your balance. The material used for the majority of the upper gets dirty easily, but is also easy to wash. Of course, you shouldn't buy a white shoe if you can't deal with it. Fits like a majority of Adidas shoes I've owned if that helps you with sizing. But seriously, if you're going to buy this shoe, you're doing it for style, which it is has plenty of.

Reasonably comfortable. Arch support is kind of weak and not really right under my arch. Nonetheless, very light, cushy, supportive and well ventilated. They are my house shoes. Last pair, I worked really hard and started falling apart in about a year. Durability is definitely not a strong point. Still, I love ‘em!

I like these shoes quite a bit -- they're pretty classic, but not so common that you see them everywhere. Not the most comfortable shoes in the world and don't have the best grip, but they're great for kicking around in!

Really stylish and chic, especially with white/navy tennis kit. Sizing a bit of a problem, 9.5 way too big, 9 a tad tight, especially in the length. Other than that - very pleased. Also, when the original too large pair arrived, Zappos Customer Service could not be more helpful. A replacement pair arrived the following day. I will definately buy again from Zappos. TC

I wasn't sure I'd like these shoes, but I really do. Very comfortable. They do not run small, despite what some reviews say. I think they are true to size. They have very squishy, comfy soles. And, they look stylish, classic. I'm very pleased with them. They also happen to be the quietest shoes I've ever worn. Laugh if you must, but I'm serious. I've had lots of athletic shoes that "clop" because the soles are hard. These seem to be silent to me. So far no squeaking on linoleum either. These shoes might be very good for ninjas if they came in all black. My only complaint is that they are very low-top shoes. I'm used to New Balance cross trainers and such. These don't lace up as high and, to me, feel loose in the heel. I haven't gotten blisters despite walking a lot in them. So, make of that what you will.

Great looking shoe. I measure out to be a 10 so I ordered a 10. The 10 was too small (the toe box is really tight), so I returned them and ordered a 10.5. They fit perfectly. Zappos is the best!

I hate shopping. I tried these shoes on in a size 9.5 in a local store. I needed a ten but they were not available in that size so I ordered them from Zappos.com. They fit very well. They are great shoes. I would say think about buying a half size larger than you normally wear - at least that was the case for myself. They offer a good deal of support. They're lightweight. And they're nice looking. All in all, a good shoe. I am giving them an overall 4-star review. I figure for five stars they would have to lace themselves on my feet.
