What more could you ask for? Once I got the right size - order a full size larger - this shoe was all I could hope for. Durable. Comfortable. Unique (people would stop me to ask what I was wearing!). Could this be the PEFRECT casual shoe?

Portsmouth HEAVEN - These shoes not only look unique but they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I like them so much that I bought the Newport. I am also looking to buy a pair of Bronx high top boots for work. You can literally stay the whole day standing up and walking.

Funky looking shoe but very comfortable - I bought this shoe for an upcoming trip to Paris, so it might be better to review it after I get back. However, I have been wearing them and can't imagine them not being absolutely perfect for their intended purpose. Although I understand the concept of arch support, I have no clue whether I need it, whether this shoe has it and whether any of my shoes have it. Everyone asks me this question, so it must be important.

Keen Portsmouth - I like this shoe a lot! Styling is great for wearing with jeans, yet isn't a sneaker. Very comfortable right out of the box, and very comfortable for long days 'on the feet.' I own other Keen styles, yet this one already has my vote for being my favorite. A great all around casual shoe with good looks and all day comfort. As with all Keen shoes, it is best to order one half size larger than usual for the right fit.

Keen: Great shoes, Variable sizing - Great shoes. Very comfortable. Excellent support -- helped prevent Plantar Fasciitis foot pain. Caveat regarding sizing: Larger as compared to my Keen Bostons.

Very comfortable - Shoe is very comfortable. Could use a better arch support. Insole is comfortable and well padded but lacks sufficient support. Nice wide toe box.

Love em'! Second pair of Keens, fourth pair in the family since my wife has two already. Can't say enough about them! Took a bit to get used to but that was only because I had been wearing Dansko shoes before which are really high. Great fit!!!!

Keen Portsmouth - My son needed some shoes but he lives in a different city. Knowing Zappos great customer service I decided to place an order for him. He absolutely loves the shoes. Being a medical student he has to be on his feet all day and these shoes were perfect.

Great shoe. Only caveat seems to be the back of the shoe rubs on the heal. Have to make sure to wear higher/thicker socks so it doesn't cause issues.

Great looking shoe that fits true to size. Not the most comfortable shoe right away but seems to be getting better.

This is a pretty comfortable shoe. The one I got is a bit darker than what the photo shows. The size I got is my measured one, so I would say this sizing on these is accurate. I usually wear an E though, and this one is listed as "medium width" but is still fairly comfortable for me. I like the looks myself, but some have told me it's kind of dorky. Either way, it feels good after a day's wear.

Although the Portsmouth appears to have a wide frontal shape, I find these a bit tighter than other Keen similarly sized size/widths. I am hoping that they loosen up a little as the leather stretches but they are not as perfect out of the box as I have come to expect from many other styles of Keens.

I ordered these for my husband because he has a wide foot and swears by Keen almost exclusively. Although we really both like the looks of the shoe, because there isn't lacing further up, it was hard to establish a secure fit. The seemed like they were too sloppy and we're going to order another pair of the Keen Austin. He said the Austin has more cushion/support and better fit overall.

This is only the second time I've owned Keens, and I tell my friends that they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Wear them everyday. I deducted one-less star to the Portsmouth for a couple reasons. A) Laces aren't holding the knots well. They keep unraveling; I had to re-tie them 2-3 times a day. B) I've been wearing them for a month, and the outer thread of one of the laces is already torn-up. I would need to find a replacement for the laces soon.

I've owned a series of Keens and have never been disappointed, wearing out the soles from use well before construction fails or styles change. These were a replacement for a pair of sneaker-style Keens. Keen quality construction seems to get better with each pair I buy. Fit and finish are good. The uppers are stitched as well as glued to the footbed/sole. Treads are moderately aggressive and very stable. There is, as expected, little flex to the sole except at the toe. Speaking of the toe, it is very squared off. I have more angled toes, so my large toe touches with extra room for my small toe. I would still say it fits true to size, comparable to most shoes I buy. (I'm a 13, so that is not always the case.) The style looks great as a upscale-casual shoe with jeans. A great option for just hanging out, when a dress should would be too much. The color is a shade more olive than I was expecting. Overall, I would recommend this shoe. If you have been happy with Keens in the past, this is a great style to add.

I purchased these over a year ago and have loved the way they feel ever since I put them on. They take a little while to get broken in but once they are it's a very comfortable shoe. I use them for work because they are versatile and can look good with jeans or khakis. I have a job that requires walking around outdoors sometimes and sitting in an office cubicle and these seem to handle both while feeling good on your feet. I have waited this long to write a review because I wanted to see how the sole stood up to my use. I usually rub the bottom outside of my shoes off because of my walking style and am forced to replace shoes after a year of use but these show very little wear from my walking. They must have some good soles on them to last that long. I would recommend them to anyone needing a casual work shoe for mild weather.

I like this shoe and have liked Keen for some time now, but I can say allow time for break in. It's a stiff shoe and perhaps because it is waterproof. I wear them to walk in for exercise, but I'd say it's best as a comfy casual.

Love the style, love the fit. My feet run just a little wide, and a size 12 Portsmouth fit me like a comfortable glove out of the box. In Targhee and NoPo I have to wear a 13 (due to their waterproof liner, according to Keen sales personnel). After 15 months the seams at the toes in the Portsmouths started splitting out although the shoes have not seen heavy use. Made in China vs Made in USA (i.e. the NoPo) so perhaps inferior workmanship? Haven't had my NoPos long enough to judge if they are better. My old Targhees have gone for years without issue except that one day I realized they weren't waterproof anymore. I still use them for yard work, though. Of course the NoPo costs 63% more than the Portsmouth, so it may be a matter of you get what you pay for... Have worn the Portsmouths for light trail walking around wet grass and kept dry feet, but never fully dunked them to test their water "resistance" vs water "proof" in the Targhee and NoPo. My wife has had water "proof" Keen non-hikers for a couple of years, so was frustrating that the men's line didn't get that feature until the NoPo.

This is a good looking shoe, but my husband complained that they pinched his toes and were not flexible enough. Love this brand but might stick to their sandals. Thank you for the easy returns, Zappos!

I was hesitant to buy these shoes at first. I felt they were a bit "crunchy" for my tastes. I did want a shoe that was a bit more rugged than the major name brand shoes I had purchased in the past. I would also take my dog for a walk in places that might be damp, like dewy grass. In all of my other shoes my socks and feet would quickly get wet. After buying them I quickly became accustomed to the style. They have held well for the past year. On the outside they are showing their age, but mostly because I haven't done much in the way of caring except brushing off excess dirt and mud at times. They certainly look better than any of the other shoes I have had with the same type of leather. If I walk somewhere with puddles or moisture I am confident that my feet will stay warm and dry. I honestly feel I have another year or two, at least, from these shoes. They're not perfect though. If I had to make any knocks it would be that the laces straight fell apart in a couple of months. I ended up getting a pair of cheap-o Kiwi laces that have soldiered on since with no problems. I also have problems with ventilation in my shoes. This is common to almost any leather shoe though. They're pretty rank now after the last year of daily wear. I am going to get another pair of shoes to alternate to give each a chance to breath and dry out. I'll probably buy another pair when these wear out.

Zappos are amazing. This shoe fits 12EEE, and thus is hard to find -- except right here, at Zappos.

I wanted a stylish slip-on and I figured the laces were primarily for show. It pretty much works that way except there is a tongue that moves around a little when I slip it on. Otherwise, it's like every other keen slip-on I've owned, which is to say they have the magic combination of a secure footbed without having a tight foot. I feel like I can walk anywhere and do anything in them, including play soccer with the kids. They're pretty warm, so useless when the weather is in the 70s or higher, but that's for flip flops, right?

Always wanted to try a pair of Keen shoes. I discovered in testing them at retail stores that my normal size 13 felt small, so I ordered the 14 and it is OK. Generally, these are comfortable - a little stiff, but they fit and support well. I still like my Clark Muckers better.

True to size unlike most Keen products. A little wide at first but I soon got used to the fit. Very comfortable right out of the box. If you like Keen shoes you are sure to like this one.

Inconsistent sizing - I bought 3 pairs of Keen's Portsmouth for Christmas gifts this year --- and they all 3 fit differently! Very sad, had to send 2 of them back. The one pair that was true to size was rated "A+" by my son! Wish Keen would get more consistent with their sizing!!
