Not as dorky looking in person - Comfortable for wearing everyday if you aren’t doing a lot hard walking or standing on hard surfaces. Shoes seem to be showing wear a little faster than Chucks, but not too bad. Free overnight shipping was GREAT. Zappos is the best!

Squeaks - I usually try to only buy hi-tops but saw these and couldn't pass them up...velcro straps, hell yea. The only problem is they squeak a little bit with each step and it can be annoying at times in a quiet room. But oh well, they look good.

An all around solid shoe - I recently purchased the Tibetan Red shoes, size 10.5. When I received them the next day, I was a little turned off by how bright and unnatural they looked. However, after a week of wear the color really set in and looks very nice with dark jeans or khakis. The shoes look great with shorts too. The fit is a little tight for me and if you walk a bit I think that you should perhaps find a shoe with a little more support. In the end, I really like my purchase. People get a real kick out of how uncommon velcro shoes are nowadays. They are a valued addition to my shoe closet.

It’s a good shoe. This is a very stylish shoe. It goes good with anything. But the toe part on the shoe gets dirty all the time and overall the shoe gets dirty fast. But you can clean it off with some soap and water. Another thing is that the shoe can be sometimes uncomfortable, because of the material it is made out. I am still glad I bought it.

Vans Prison Issue - The Vans Prison Issues are definitely one of the cooler shoes out there; I’ve gotten a lot of positive comments on them. They aren't the most comfortable shoe and have no arch support. So, if you you’re willing to trade off comfort for style points you can't go wrong with Vans.

I ordered these in February and already (less than 2 months later) the lining on the heel has worn through. Also these shoes rub my toes a bit, yet still feel a bit wide. However, I love the look so I'll tolerate the problems. I don't recommend them for all day walking.

Pretty sweet - I haven't worn Vans in many years, but these were too cute not to try out. They are really stiff at first, but after wearing them for 3 days, they are starting to break in nicely. Overall, they are as cute as the picture, and appear to be well made (we'll see).

Vans Prison Issue, black with white soles - I really like these shoes. They look awesome, and that is the best thing about them. On comfort, they are wearable for casual use but I would not recommend them for lengthy walking around as they do not have much support - just a little more than Chucks. The shoes took about a week to break in. One really small picky thing, is if the velcro upper strap is NOT all the way covering the bottom velcro, the part that is exposed will collect lint. So if you kick off your shoes onto the carpet, the carpet will get stuck in the velcro. Just a minor thing sure sounds picky but wanted to note it. I mean if you're buying Van's it is likely you don't care about a little lint anyhow :)

BIG! Hi, I ordered these shoes because of the looks. I got a size 9 Women’s, even though they are unisex. When I got them they were really wide and a little big. They made my feet look HUGE! I would recommend a different shoe that isn't unisex. The sizes aren't accurate! I returned them and bought a pair of awesome Adios, which actually fit.

So-So shoes - Usually I find Vans to be fairly comfortable. While these shoes are stylish, I find them a bit on the squeaky and uncomfortable side. They will probably be much better after they are severely worn in and semi-falling apart--the best time for a pair of canvas sneakers.

Good - I found that where the metal part is on top that holds the strap down is very uncomfortable on the top of your foot. Other then that the shoe looks awesome and other wise comfortable.

Super cute - I have the black ones and they look quite adorable and petite on my 8.5 size foot. They also look good with skinny jeans.

I really loved these shoes for a while but after owning them for a few months they started falling apart at the seams. The white part on the side (the sole?) cracked in the middle of both sides of each shoe and the shoe started to become separated where the black connects to the white part of the toe. I love the look of the shoe and they fit great but they just didn't last long, I ended up ordering some plain black and white Chucks within months to make up for these falling apart.

Vans (Thick black and white) stripes - They didn't look like I though they would. They ran a little bigger than my normal shoes but overall I was satisfied with the purchase.

Ouch. These shoes looked very big and clunky and unflattering once they were on my feet. They also really dug into the top of my foot when I walked, at the part where my toes meet the top of the middle of my foot. They never broke in and were very stiff and uncomfortable.

These are shoes that look great as objects but look horrible on the foot. They're really stiff (major pain when I step on the ball of my foot and bend the toe part inward, the crease in the top of the shoe really digs in with every step). They also made my feet look like big paddle-shaped blobs, and somehow made the bottoms of my legs look fatter than usual.

Prison Issue's Issues - I liked the shoe overall for its purpose (fashion),; however, they didn't seem to last me very long even through normal wear and tear.

Cool looking, but snug - These kicks are pretty awesome looking, but be sure to get a half size larger than your usual size...Also, these aren't for all day standing around. You may want to put in a gel insert or something.
