Great shoes. Take a little while to break them in (I previously purchased a red pair and learned this quickly), so don't buy them with a specific event in mind if you don't have the time to break them in a little bit first. The soles of them are true to size, but the uppers do require some TLC. They are well worth it, though.

Got these for mom, who cannot handle tied shoes anymore. She loves them. Very good for those who need a flat, dependable sneaker.

Love Zappos! Always a shipping upgrade and free returns. What could be better? I rarely ever have to return anything! These shoes are my all-time favorite. They're comfy and cool looking. My daughter used to make fun of them until her friends started wearing them too!

My 10 year old loves these shoes. Says they are "sick". I say they are comfortable for him and well-made. Hopefully they will fit as long as they last!

Prison Issues are my favorite shoe. Super comfy and I love it when the straps start to curl! The downside is that Vans hardly release good colors in this style.

Cute shoes, more girly and childish than the name would suggest. Thin canvas, so a little flimsier than I thought. Order a half size up!

When I saw these I had to have them. "At last," I thought, "a cool looking velcro shoe." They took some breaking in & the straps never fully latched over my wide monster feet. C'est la vie.

I've been wearing these daily for about a month now, but still experiencing some comfort issues. The tongue tends to bunch up near the toes and cause some irritation. The problem does seem to be getting gradually better, but just be aware that it may take quite awhile to break them in.

These are cute in the photo but ugly on your feet. You would have to have the narrowest feet to make the straps cross all the way over. My feet are not even wide and the straps did not completely cross. They also make you look like you have ridiculously long feet. Fine if you are a guy, not if you are a girl.

Got these for my Autistic son and he loves them! I did have to put in an arch support as he needs that. Great for wide feet and people that like a shoe that has a firm fit. Only Velcro shoe I have found that has a "cool" factor. Thank you Vans and Zappos! Wish they had the white ones again!

These shoes are great. These are my third pair. What I really like about them are that there are no laces, just straps so they are easy to put on. And they go with just about anything I wear.

These shoes are amazing! A bit uncomfortable the first time you wear them, but what shoes aren’t? They are my go-to shoes with anything. They aren’t that hard to clean either - considering they are white they get dirty pretty easily. Just shove them in the washing machine with a little bleach and they look brand new! Or hand wash with a bleach pen or something.

These are awesome shoes. I never really saw these shoes on other females but I have seen them on guys at my school. Fist I did not like them, thought they were ugly but like many I ended up liking them. Now i have to get a pair of them Friday. I was there today and they had my size which is 9½ mens in a black.

Great daily wear shoe - These run true to size, are comfortable on wide feet, and are about as simple and clean as shoes can get. Expect a few days of break-in. These shoes are also great for dead lifting/squatting at the gym, as they're soles are level and stable.

Vans Velcro - This is my second pair of Prison Issues and I love them. Laces seem a thing of the past. Lightweight, awesome looks, love them. Era 'Z!

Great - Love the look of the shoe. A bit flat (feels great for my flat feet though). I really love them.

My son loves these shoes! I bought these for my son, and he loves them. They fit him great, and are easy on-easy off just like he likes them. The thing he most likes is that no one else in his school has a pair like them. He enjoys being an individual and being comfortable, and these shoes fit him perfect on all accounts!

AWESOME SHOES - AWESOME ZAPPOS!!! Once again, this is the only place that carries the larger sizes for my daughter’s distinct taste in shoes. At 15, she wears a men's size 11 (which is extremely hard to find in girlie looking shoes), but at Zappos, the selection is great. She has worn Vans for quite sometime, and finally wore out her last pair of slip on Hippos. She found these and absolutely loved them. I'm so happy that Zappos carries such a wonderful assortment of shoes and always in the larger sizes. It's much better than going to the mall and being disappointed when they only go to a men’s size 9. I will always shop here and will always recommend this site first. Awesome shoes - I've never really been a fan of this particular shoe style with the straps, but I've been a Vans fan for almost 8 years now, and these really stood out to me when I went shopping around on Zappos. The other reviews had me a little worried that they'd be too narrow for my wide feet, so I went to the local Vans store in the mall to try them on. To my surprise they were the same width of the Vans shoes I was already wearing, and the shoe fit fine when I tried it on. They didn't have the black/black style I wanted, so I came back home and ordered them from Zappos. I was absolutely thrilled when I found that Zappos had upgraded me to next day air mail at no extra charge, and I've been wearing them since. They're pretty stiff at first, but they seem to be slowly breaking in. I think the rubber toe rubbed the top of my foot raw a little, but nothing significant. They have that Converse look without being uncomfortable, and I'd imagine they'd look as good with shorts/skirts as they do with jeans. Love 'em!

Best of both worlds - I adore these shoes. They look great with everything and they are super comfortable. You have the strength of a regular shoe with the ease of a slip on... they are fantastic. I kept mine pristine for so long and then eventually started wearing them to work (food service) and the dog park and killed them and now they are out of stock forever. Boo! I'm getting them again the second they are back in stock. Awesome shoes!!!
