Love 'em - Though I really wished these came in all true white, I still think they look good. I was concerned of the width factor cuz I have a tendency to chafe my pinky toe while breaking in new shoes, but they are actually more comfortable than the basket ball sneakers that I also ordered.

These are awesome shoes! I love these shoes so much - the first day I got them I wore them the whole day with no problems! They are totally adorable, too! :)

Comfortable and cute - These Van's are a classic. They are very comfortable and look great. And shopping at Zappos is always the best experience!!

Very hard to find this shoe right now- sold out in most stores. And was available in odd sizes. Shoes were in perfect condition, arrived very quickly and on the estimated date. And fit perfectly. Will continue to buy them from Zappos.

I love these shoes so, so much. I got them from Urban Outfitters online and wasn't sure how they would fit, so I only got them in black. They also offered them in purple and now I wish I'd gotten those too! Comfy, adorable and the velcro makes them so easy to put on/take off, and the Prison Issue thing is a real conversation-starter!

Rocks! I Love these shoes! I got the plaid ones with small skulls. Not usually into skulls but they look really cute and are super comfy! They look great with jeans. Thinking of getting another pair.

Near damn perfect - I've wanted some Prison Issues since I first saw them about a year ago. I tried them on and was often very close to buying a pair but could never decide on the color. First I wanted the old green ones, then black, then white, then red, and then finally settled on white again. I might have bought brown, had they made them. I thought the stripe on the buff white pair I bought might be green, but it's really a gray. They arrived with some small stains that almost caused me to return them, but I decided it wasn't worth the trouble since they would quickly be scuffed and stained. I've worn these 2-3 times and they already look like I've had them for a few months. However, I love white shoes, and the Prison Issues are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They felt broken in the moment I put them on. The only issue I have with these Vans is they seem to be a little roomy around the toes. This may cause them to be more comfortable and fit some people better, though. As a vegetarian, I appreciate that these Vans have no leather lining like the Classics.

Handy Shoe - I purchased a pair of Vans Prison Issue mainly for city bicycle riding. Pedal teeth bite into the gum soles well holding my foot into place. The shoes doesn’t offer much arch support, but I work around this by placing a popular shelf brand of cushioning orthotic. The shoe stays on my foot better than vans slip-ons and the velcro closure ensures that laces won’t make it into my bicycle chain. The rubber toe adds some additional durability. I found sizing to be on the small size. I needed a 12 instead of a normal 11.5.

Not for big feet - I've been trying to find some canvas shoes to wear on the weekends and to class but these are not it. Although I have seen them on smaller feet and though they were adorable, they are so unflattering on size 11 feet. It seems that after a certain size they lose the cute factor and just look like giant men’s shoes on a woman's feet. Were I to have smaller feet I would definitely order these. I did order them a half size small and the fit was perfect although they are a little wide.

Rockin in my blue shoes - I like colorful shoes. I got these in blue. They're pretty awesome. Not too good if it’s cold out. Overall good though.

Pretty Hot - I think the shoe itself is hot! It did have a different feel to it though. After my feet got adjusted to the new feel I was good.

Really comfortable like regular Vans - Only thing is one of my feet is a bit wider, so I have to tighten the velcro straps more on one foot. It’s a little bit awkward.

Cute, but flatter than flat - I like the look and simplicity of this shoe, especially the velcro. I had no idea what Prison Issue meant until someone explained it to me. If you have arch issues, you will need an insert with this shoe; it's the flattest of the flat. I went with the piping on white; otherwise it would have looked like part of an orderly uniform.

Velcro is the new slip-on. The shoes are super cute and have already garnered lots of compliments (and opportunities to plug Zappos.com - how do people still not know?!). I had issues on the first couples of wearings sans socks, mostly with rubbing at the toes right where the canvas starts and soreness at the back of the heel. However, a few more wearings and good socks have prevented this from happening since.

Just arrived, pleased - I got the light color skull pattern of these shoes. If you can't tell from the image, they are basically C All Stars with velcro straps, which is pretty awesome if that's what you want. But also bear in mind that that means fairly thin canvas make, very limited arch support, and likely to seriously show wear. Lightweight and fairly comfortable, but don't expect them to save your feet on marathons.

Green Camo with Skulls are awesome - The shoe’s very comfortable as well having a great look. The velcro makes them super easy to tighten or loosen and I love not worrying about laces getting untied. Another great thing is that I'm pretty sure they are vegan. I wore them to an outdoor festival and ended up stepping in mud but when it dried you could hardly tell b/c of the camo design. When I got home, I put them under the sink and scrubbed them with a washcloth and they were good as new!

Nice - ^___^ at first it didn't feel too comfortable, but once I’ve worn the shoes in, they fit like a charm. Love 'em!!

Good all day shoe - Goes with everything. Not the most comfortable sneaker I have ever had, but pretty good. Great to bike in because I don't have to worry about laces in the chain. I have wide feet and these are on the narrow side, so the half size up fits well, but I had to get used to them being a tiny bit long. Overall great shoe.

I'm wearing them right now! I wanted a shoe with the look of classic Converse but with maybe just a little more comfort and I got exactly that with these shoes. Fit is very wide but true to length.

I love the look of these shoes and they last forever, but I've had them for more than 6 months and the area where the rubber toe joins the canvas hurts my little toe if I do a lot of walking - shopping, around campus, whatever - in them. Blisters on the heel don't happen after some breaking in. They are a little awkward feeling, but that's just because they are so simple. Flat soles - no arch support.

Not as dorky looking in person - Comfortable for wearing everyday if you aren’t doing a lot hard walking or standing on hard surfaces. Shoes seem to be showing wear a little faster than Chucks, but not too bad. Free overnight shipping was GREAT. Zappos is the best!

Squeaks - I usually try to only buy hi-tops but saw these and couldn't pass them up...velcro straps, hell yea. The only problem is they squeak a little bit with each step and it can be annoying at times in a quiet room. But oh well, they look good.

An all around solid shoe - I recently purchased the Tibetan Red shoes, size 10.5. When I received them the next day, I was a little turned off by how bright and unnatural they looked. However, after a week of wear the color really set in and looks very nice with dark jeans or khakis. The shoes look great with shorts too. The fit is a little tight for me and if you walk a bit I think that you should perhaps find a shoe with a little more support. In the end, I really like my purchase. People get a real kick out of how uncommon velcro shoes are nowadays. They are a valued addition to my shoe closet.

It’s a good shoe. This is a very stylish shoe. It goes good with anything. But the toe part on the shoe gets dirty all the time and overall the shoe gets dirty fast. But you can clean it off with some soap and water. Another thing is that the shoe can be sometimes uncomfortable, because of the material it is made out. I am still glad I bought it.
