I normally wear 11, and I ordered 12 and could not even get my feet in them. They seem well made, but way undersized. I may have to find some in a store to try on before I try again, as it seems I need to go at least 2-3 sizes higher than normal.

Very cute slip-on sneaker but WAY TOO snug. I have a slightly wider foot than most others so I'm sure this is why they felt way too tight. Still, most of my shoes are in a "B" width with only a handful in a "W" width. If you think your foot is on the wide side, I'd advice that you keep looking. Converse brand slip-ons in a "B" width might be more comfortable for you.

I really wanted these shoes to fit... I usually take a 9.5 but I ordered a size 10 from reviews. This size was still too small! I can't imagine my foot ever being able to comfortably wear a 10.5 or 11!? Never was able to wear them before (way too big). I'll have to return these for a refund. I'll buy a different style that fits my 9.5 size foot!

What can I say: this is a typical pair of Vans. They're only somewhat comfortable, but they retain that beach-casual vibe that I remember from the eighties. The problem I have is that, unlike the many other Vans I own, these run a half size small. I ordered my usual 6.5 women's, but my toes hit the end. Thus, they are going back.

I've got a chubby foot & it took me 15 minutes to stuff my piggies into these. Hopefully they'll stretch.

As usual, delivery was quick! Love the look, but in less than a half day of wearing them, my heels were completely torn up. I am not sure how to wear these comfortably without socks.

Eh, they don't really look hipster. They're comfortable but kind of look fugly on. I am wearing them to bum around in but I wouldn't ever pair them with skinny jeans or anything where I was trying to be cute.

I am a woman with a wide foot. I often buy men's tennis shoes because they fit my wide feet perfectly. When I saw these I thought they would make a great summer casual slip on. I was so disappointed to try them on and find they were way too tight across the top of my right foot, which tends to swell a little bit as the day wears on. Sadly, I have to send them back.

They run slightly larger than the classic lace ups. 8.5 would better suit a 9.5 and and 8 would better suit a 9. Really sad I can't exchange now that I've worn them once. (Based on women's sizing.)

When these are brand new, expect some rubbing on the back of your foot. After the broken in, they're great for a very casual slip-on. I also appreciate their flat sole and no arch support for days I do heavy squats. Mine get a lot of heavy use and I wear out the shoe before I wear out the sole (the canvas floor inside the shoe begins to fray around my toes) but as long you remember that they arent a perfomance shoe, you'll be happy with the purchase. I buy a pair each Spring and wear them till Winter.

As another review said, the break in period was long. Once broken in, they were very comfortable and I loved them. That said, they did not last long. I guess for the price, I should not have expected too much. In any case, I walk a lot on pavement. I did not wear these much last summer, but wore them almost daily this summer. The heel wore down about half an inch. I have no idea what garbage constitutes the core, but it looked like ground newspaper. I wore them after it had rained, and the water seeped up from the bottom, soaking my socks. I will look for something made better.

These are not the classic Vans that we knew and loved back in the day. You can definitely feel the difference. They just are not made like they used to be. You feel the stitching at the top of your foot because it stops on both sides. They do not have that soft feel like they used to have. Worth the money? I do not know - probably not.

I loved them until I washed them, then something in the toe cap bled through and made ugly blackish stains that I can't get rid of. Other than that they are great. Nicely finished inside so can be worn without socks without creating blisters.

I decided to give these guys a whirl in the place of my usual Chucks...not too pleased with my decision. They are comfy enough, needed about a day's wear to get the heel broken in (had to band aid it up to avoid a blister). The main problem was a rip that occurred on the inside of the shoe, above my toe. And before you go thinking I have some talons, I keep my toenails SHORT. And this rip happened after I had worn the shoes for maybe a grand total of 8 hours. Oh yeah and they make my feet stinky, which usually isn't a problem for me. I like the way these shoes look, and they are definitely classics, but they're just not for me.

I love the black and white checkered ones. I thought I'd get a pair for myself and they ended up a little too big. I should of bought a size down but it's okay. I'll save these shoes for my boyfriends little brother.

Pleasant experience -
These shoes are great. I had a little bit of a problem with the first pair I ordered, but the people at Zappos were great about it and their shipping is great at no charge.

Cool Looking but Schlocky -
Vans Classic Slip-Ons have the "normal" canvas shoe problems similar to the Chucks: The interior of the shoe rips out, the reinforced section inside by the heel starts coming out, the rubber surrounding the sole cracks/peels off. The only things I like about the shoes are that they look great and being slip-ons, are pretty convenient. If you're vegetarian and don't want to buy leather shoes, I instead recommend synthetics; all Vans Geoff Rowley models are vegan, and New Balance makes several models.

It’s tight for my size, usually I can put a cushion on it to support my arch.

I wear a women's 11.5. These are marketed for women but they are men's shoes. So, if you have wide feet they may work, otherwise they will be too wide.

Love the classic style, but gray slip-ons fade in the sun from day one. They just look too worn and uneven due to sun bleaching too quickly. Back in high school, when Vans were super cheap, this was no big deal. The price is still good, but they've gotten too expensive to look this bad this soon.

Reviewed at Vans US
I bought these in my normal size for sneakers and they pinched my toes so bad! To the point that I checked to make sure I hadn't been sent the wrong size by accident. I put them against the classic slip-ons I had just bought in the same size and they were the same exact length so I don't know why they made my toes feel so squished, and now I'm nervous to size up because it seems like they will be too long?
Sad,
