Vans Chukka Sukka - What you sacrifice in comfort, is more than made up for with the personal suaveness you achieve with these shoes...not that suaveness is a word, but when you wear Vans, you get to make up words, word.

vans chukka - same look as the vans I had 10 years ago, but the materials are a lot cheaper. The suede is very thin and flimsy compared to the original. Overall a very comfortable shoe.

Great Looking Shoe...Comfort So-So - These shoes looked great when they first came out a few years ago, and they do know. Go nice with slim jeans; you won't see many others wearing them so you won't look like a clone. When I first put them on, they're very comfortable. By the end of the day, my inner toe pushes up against the hard outsole. It's very uncomfortable and hard not to be aware of it; it has no give (this isn't an issue on most other shoes). Because of the tight rubbing, they blew a hole through some socks I had probably worn only about 5 times. They're not so great as a walking shoe. If you're sitting a lot, they're fine. There. Now you know.

Vans Chucka Boot - Never having owned a pair of Vans, I was excited about this purchase. Overall I think they are really cool shoes, they go great with black jeans. The only issues I have had is that I had to add a pair of insoles so they were a little more comfortably padded, the supplied shoelaces were a joke, and the rubber material around the sole seems to be wearing faster than the rest of the shoe, maybe I should stop dragging my feet.

The amazingly awesome shoes - Really nice, kinda loose but flexible. Recommend wearing long socks with them so they don’t cut in to ankles.

1991 represent!! I had these way back in 1991, when I still skated every day, all day. They were awesome back then and I was very happy when they were re-released last year or so. When I put them on, it was like being reunited with an old friend. The construction is ever so slightly different, but not noticeable either functionally, or stylistically. I would suggest a half size smaller, as with most Vans, they tend to run a little big in the toe area. If you need arch support get some insoles for them too, because they are flat inside. They look fantastic, especially when they are just a little beat up. As with some of the other reviewers, lots of women ask me about them when I wear them out. They are still just as good to skate in too. At this price, what is there to lose??

Non-restrictive shoes that eventually form to wide feet - Why does Vans always make anything in solid black a Limited Edition? Too bad they don't make a solid black canvas vegan shoe in this style. I wear a size 9, but I had to order these 1/2 size bigger, and that's to skate in--if I were going to just wear these as casuals, then I might go a full whole size larger and stuff them down with a few layers of insoles, as they feel kind of "formless" or "mushy" due to the fact there is no toe cap, and the mid-rise ankle. These are perfect for older skaters like me with wide feet--I can't wear anything that has a hard, stitched toe-cap. As always, Zappos is great--I always order 2 pairs--one a half-size bigger, and then send back (free shipping!) the pair that doesn't fit.

Marv's Vans review - I have a closet full of size 12 Vans of different styles. Some fit wonderfully and some fit like these. I adjust by buying an insert at the store. Whatever works! Bottom line--I like Vans.

"Killin' Em" The shoes are bomb, however they could be more comfortable in the arch areas (more support). Anyway, the shoes are so versatile with today’s and yesterday’s fashion trends they look fresh with everything you wear. Chicks dig my style. Thanks to you guys at Zappos. I'm killin em' where ever I'm at. Christopher D

Chukka boots - This was my favorite shoe many years ago before Vans stopped making them, I've owned several pairs of these shoes in the past and was happy to see that this particular model was reintroduced. But, these shoes didn't fit as comfortably as I remembered them. After doctoring these shoes with some aftermarket insoles, they now fit almost perfectly. The laces that came in these shoes were twice as long as they needed to be, and I had to tuck them inside the shoes to keep from walking on top of them, so I also bought shorter laces for them.

With "boot" in the name, I thought these might be a good alternative to my usual hi-top Vans and Chuck Taylors, hoping they'd have a little more arch support and ankle structure, but they don't at all, and the shape is even less supportive of your foot. The design of the laces and tongue doesn't fit the shape of your foot comfortably like a usual soft hi-top. The sides are thin and soft and floppy, just slightly more padded than a Chuck Taylor and the insole is just as flat, with no arch support at all. They do look nice, but they're nothing more than glamorized hi-tops.

Cool but not comfortable - Like the look, but the fit isn't as good as the slip-ons. Because of that I probably won't wear them as often.

Chukkas are a hit!! Good retro shoe that brought a bunch of compliments. Most thought they were 'KEDS' or some variety of 'CONVERSE ALL-STAR', but I hipped them to the fact that they're VANS!!! More arch support than I thought they'd have and that was a nice surprise. Love 'em!!!

Squeaky shoes - For some reason every time you take a step in the shoe it squeaks. I thought I needed to break them in however it is getting worse. Not happy with this shoe.

It's OK - This shoe is definitely made for a man's feet. My feet are slender and my ankles are small, so the semi-high top felt weird and overall a little large. I feel like I have big shoes on my feet. I am a size 10 or 9.5 in women's and I ordered a size 8 in Mens. Maybe I should have gotten a 7.5?

Look nice but never get comfortable - Second pair I've gotten - these fit a bit better than last time, but after a month they still don't feel right. And after walking 30+ blocks today in them my feet are on fire.

Ouch! Another shoe that doesn't lack style but lacks comfort. The right shoe was way to tight on my foot, sent them back immediately.

Shoes came with no shoelaces, and the black rubber that surrounds the soles is peeling off after wearing only two weeks. Had to glue them back together. I've worn Vans for twenty years and the issue with the soles has happened with the past two pairs I've bought. Must be using cheaper glues and materials. This will probably be the last pair of Vans I buy. Thumbs down to Zappos for not checking the shoes before they were shipped to make sure they had laces. I'm done buying shoes online.

Excellent looking boot with a classic, subtle style. FYI: I've had several pair of these over the years, and they seem to be running about a half size smaller lately. Whereas I always wore an 11.5 before, I needed a 12 this time. So keep this in mind when ordering.

You can't beat a pair of Vans. These chukkas are great as a transitional shoe - you can dress it up, and you can keep it casual.

These are the most stylish, comfortable sneakers! The fabric is suede, or something that feels like that. Sometimes the laces get caught in the top of the shoe so I have to wear high socks. But they are still super comfortable and pair well with any outfit!

I went up a size in these. Normally wear a 13. Wide and they fit well. Comfortable suede with a good fit and style.
