Best winter purchase ever!
I cannot describe the plush feeling from this shoe. So unbelievably comfortable and warm, can be worn all day, the heel is exactly as in this picture (I bought 2/17), and it has worn so well after a whole winter in DC. Perfect both for everyday and for more dressy occasions.
Yes, La Canadienne run small, because they are not calculating the thickness of the fur and are using regular size molds. But just buy half size larger and you will be fine.
Also, yes, if your calves are on the fuller size, this will be too tight. But for me, they fit so snug I feel my ankles have extra protection when I walk from the accidental twist.
This was a lot of money for me, but it is one purchase I will never regret. I just brushed them off for storage and they look like new after one whole winter of almost daily wear. Get them with the 30% discount though, but you may have to wait, they fluctuate the price. Looks like a lifetime shoe.

This is a beautiful and very comfortable boot. It comes in narrow and it fits a narrow foot very well. I have several pairs of La Canadienne boots and they are warm and waterproof and hold up well over several seasons. Expensive but worth it!

I love these boots! I'm 5'11 so the lower heel height is great. Returning them since they run a tiny but smaller than my other pair of La Canadienne size 11 boots. I'll try a 12 and see how that goes. I have pretty thick calves and didn't have a problem with fit.

Wish the diameter of the trunk of the boot was larger. I notice that La Canadienne Brand consistently has this problem which other boot brands do not. So sad, because otherwise I loved this boot.

Beautifully designed boot. Fits snug on my narrow foot with a standard weight sock. My only change would be the color of the fleece inside the boot, which I wish was black, but I think the boot is fabulous.

These shoes have a center panel that runs up the middle of the boot. On one of the boots, the "center panel" wasn't centered and ran up the side. Needless to say that made the boots look mismatched. They were also too tight in the toe box even though I ordered W because of hearing other reviews. I typically order Medium width.

I so didn't want to love this boot....Am planning on a National Geographic Christmas Markets River cruise on the Danube in December and wanted a waterproof, insulated, good looking boot - but didn't want to spend a lot of $. Well, this boot fit the bill of waterproof, insulated (natural lambs fur lining) and good looking. The price tag was more than I wanted to spend, but after trying this boot on I was sold! The shaft fit me perfectly, but may be a bit narrow for some (I have slim calves). I look forward to wearing these in cold weather.

ordered this boot at the end of last season but the width which fit fine for the 6 other pairs i bought years ago was too narrow with the fur lining so when i saw the new season available i ordered the wider width & it is ok, not much, but adequate & since i really love this brand for the warmth waterproof and stylish look i will enjoy it - even though it is much more than i wanted to spend - the now 7 pairs i have i really like and really enjoy and feel are worth the money - i have to get over not wanting to mess them up in bad weather because they were so expensive - go figure! :)

LOVED IT... but could only close the zipper up to the ankles :(
I have this problem often with La cannadienne products... they seem to be made for young women who still have thin ankles and lower calfs... Interestingly, I dont have this problem with boots from other brands.So the trunk of the boot is smaller than marked.

The boots are beautiful and very well made. Inside they are warm and cozy. Unfortunately, the shaft is much too narrow. I ordered the extra wide. It would make sense to make them with a shaft that is not so narrow, but it is, unfortunately. My ankles are normal, no extra large. The boots are also very expensive, but I would have kept them if they would fit well.

This boot was beautiful; however, the wedge heel on this boot did not arrive with the wedge pictured, either in the views or the video. It was an all solid black wedge and was at least two and a half inches high, ore lime one of the other boots; however, it was the right boot...so styling must have changed. Therefore I had to return it. Love LaCanadienne boots though.

Fantastic boot - wanted a boot that was comfortable to walk in, this is perfect. The wedge heel is low enough to not feel uncomfortable for long distance walking, which my boots with heels can be. Elegant enough to wear in my office, so don't have to change shoes at work!

Very good looking and very warm boots. I usually wear a 9M for La Canadienne, but only 9 wide was in stock. So that's what I got; my feet tend to be on the verge of med and wide. But even with 9W, these make my feet look small! The shearling is ultra soft and plush; you feel like your foot is covered in a blanket. You definitely do not need thick socks with this pair! I did put in an insole for extra support; this pair, like most Canadienne boots, doesn't have much arch support or cushioning. I also needed to fill some of the extra space since it was a wide pair. Wore it out in nasty rainy 30 something degree weather today, and my feet stayed ultra cozy, warm and dry. The shoe design is very clever and comfy; you don't even feel the heel. I got it in brown. This pair is nice enough to be worn with my dressiest business suits for very formal corporate meetings, but can also go with jeans. I have several pairs of La Canadienne boots and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Best winter boots ever!
These boots are unbelievably cozy and comfortable. So warm thick socks are not necessary. They are also attractive enough to wear all day. My feet are quite wide in the toe, narrower in the heel, bony, and pretty flat, so it's hard to get a good fit. I would have liked them a touch wider in toe, but that's my peculiarity, not a fault of the boot. They're such a great find for me that I ordered other styles from La Canadienne. They are much more expensive than my normal shoe price range, but in this case, they're worth it.

Great Boot!
Tired of Uggs making your feet look big and sloppy yet don't want to give up the warm shearling? Then these are the boots for you! They fit my feet like a glove and are super warm without overheating when indoors. I'm a true size 10 and a half, which is very hard to find but Zappos had them! And they are waterproof on top of stylish... can't find a better overall boot than this one!

LOVE these boots!
I bought these boots just before Chicago got 8 inches of snow in one day. These are GREAT boots. They look nice, they're VERY warm, and they're very comfortable on my nerve-damaged feet. My first pair of La Canadienne's was back in the 80's; when they finally wore out, I despaired of not being able to find them again. Now that I've found them again, I'm not letting go - their boots were very good then, and are unbeatable now.

I was getting frustrated browsing for the perfect boot till I stumbled upon this brand. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to give it a try. Had my first test run today, used it after we had a night of winter ice/snow blast. It passed the test! It's definitely waterproof (all the sludge and snow just easily brushed off and left no stains or marks), super comfy and warm and to top it all, very pretty (not at all "UGG-ly)! You don't have to sacrifice comfort for looks! If only the other styles were available in my size, I would have bought more but I discovered this brand too late in the season. Will definitely buy more in the future and am excitedly awaiting more new styles. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion, definitely a keeper!!!

Was looking for a boot that was WARM but not clunky, as comfortable as Uggs, but a different look. This boot is perfect. I ordered my size but returned them for a 1/2 size smaller, which are great - and I never take a 1/2 size smaller. These are extremely soft leather with shearling inside. Wonderful boot.

I purchased these boots for a winter trip to Europe where I would spend much of the day outside and walking. These boots were super comfortable and incredibly warm. The shearling lining makes them feel like a pair of slippers.
And the bit of heel gives them some style. I have since worn them back in cold, snowy and wet Connecticut and they are just the best. The suede is truly waterproof. Wish I had bought two pairs!!!

I purchased 6 pairs of rain and snow worthy boots for my trip to France and kept these. They are so comfortable. I bought a half size smaller in these and that was the perfect size. They also hug my thin calves really gracefully. They are incredibly warm too. I have thin heels and these hug my heels really well. No slipping around. A must try!

Beautiful and seem very warm. I went up a half size based on reviews and they were too big, so I may try again with a wider width in my normal size. I agree with others that the ankle is very tight, though, and I am wondering if that will be even worse in my regular size. Wish these would fit well as the design and warmth are exactly what I was hoping for.

Thought I'd found the perfect blend of great style plus warmth and stability.The boot is beautiful and well made.The base of the wedge heel was too narrow for me and my ankles wobbled. For snow I want a wide, rock-solid heel. Opted for Ophelia-probably not as warm and more basic style wise-for the sake of its stability.
