These Chacos were indispensable during a recent trip to Morocco. I was able to walk thru the Sahara Desert, traipse accross muddy puddles in Fez and walk several miles in busy Marrakesh in them. I highly recommend bringing the adjustment instructions with you if you take these on a trip. My feet got a bit swollen and I had to re-adjust a few times. I needed a friend to email me the adjustment instructions from the box. Overall-excellent sandals with a ton of support and fun looking as well.

Love these shoes! They stay on my foot quite well. The strap is too long when tightened as necessary, however. But they are very comfortable regardless. I rock these shoes through the halls of my high school! So says my daughter.

I have been wanting a pair of Chacos for years now and finally opted to get this pair. In general the shoes are quite comfortable. I had problems with the toe area being too tight initially, but after watching a few videos on youtube I figured out how to loosen the straps. I think I would have preferred the other style which doesn't wrap around the big toe because of the straps getting too tight, but aesthetically I was more attracted to this model.

This shoe provides great arch support and stability. It will be great for walking when warm weather hits.

I live in Chacos. I have some for the house and some I wear out. I pronate and have flat feet and wear orthotics. These are the only shoe with which I need no additional arch support. People laugh at my tan line, but I don't care. I just discovered wearing them in the airport...easier to take off than tennis shoes and they have the support I need to speedwalk to my gate. Awesome.

I bought these sandal for vacation, and they were great! A little rubbing, but not much. Getting the straps adjusted posed a bit of a challenge once set the sandal was great! And I love shopping with Zappos!

What a great shoe! I have horrible feet - a triad of problems and I can wear these shoes without my orthotics and my feet are happy - so am I! Looks great with skirts, pants and shorts - the perfect summer shoe!

This is my second pair of black Chaco sandals. I love how they hug my feet. My last pair was the slip on version of this shoe that was made several years ago. I find the black goes well with shorts and skirts of all kinds. This will be the first time I have the mesh around my big toe, so I'll have to wait and see how I like that, but the Chaco brand sandal is worth the money.

I first ordered a size 5 regular width and had to return it for a 5 wide. I usually wear a 5.5 or 6 regular in almost all other shoes. These shoes are so comfortable. I love them! My daughter is in the Peace Corps in Cambodia. She took her favorite Chacos with her and has worn them everyday and they have held up well but I thought the pretty blue and double strap would be a nice change l. She loves them! Feel and fit great!

I bought these for my trip to Hawaii and backpacking trips. It took me a while to figure out the strapping system, but it was worth it. My feet are narrow and most sandals are too wide, I was able to tighten or loosen straps to my liking. At no time did they rub, very comfy. I love these sandals, I will definitely buy them again.

Takes a little bit of adjusting of the straps when first putting on the sandal. But once on, they are comfortable. They are cute, too.

This has been a very comfortable sandal. Originally purchased for a trip to India so I could have a supportive shoe without having to pack multiple pairs. I got sized in a store and was a 9W (usually wear 9.5-10) but if you have a wide foot in the slightest get a W. I tried a 10 regular and it was way too long and narrow. If I got my normal size it would have been about a half size too big, but also too narrow. Be cautious when sizing, but once you find your size, you'll never want to take them off!

Finally, Chaco’s I can wear to work! I got my 1st pair of Chaco’s three years ago. After almost constant wear, nine months out of the year, they're not showing any worn spots except a bit on the soles. But they're green and purple-great for vacations and weekends, not so great for business casual. These new ZX/2's, in black, are perfect for that. Ok, so they aren't very dressy, but the extra strappy straps make them seem more delicate than they really are. As far as fit, they're a bit looser than my other pairing, but totally adjustable. They do tend to need to be adjusted a bit more often than the other pair, though. The insole is the same solid, comfy Chaco insole, and if staff meetings get too boring, the rugged sole ensures that I can take off and go hiking without changing my shoes (although the suit may have to go).

I really wanted to love these sandals. I liked the fact that you can adjust the straps and that they had good arch support. Very important that arch support! It takes a little doing but the outcome should be a custom fit. I ordered a 9 and 10 since many reviews said they run large. The 10 I couldn't get tight enough (narrow feet) so I couldn't quite feel secure in the shoe. The 9 I could get tight enough but would have to cut off the extra by the buckle. A good 4 inches. Yes, the 9 accommodated my long toes just barely but just didn't feel right on my arch. The 10 felt better on my feet but a little big. Not bad if I could have made the straps work. Then there is the textured footpad. I wore the shoes around the house for an hour or so and I just do not care for the feeling of the texture on my feet. I was hoping by wearing them I would be so happy with how my feet felt that I could overlook the things I was initially bothered by. Sigh. Unfortunately it did not happen and I am sending them back. By the way, I usually wear a 10. I will say they are very cute on. I really liked them on my feet. I was hoping they would be the perfect walking sandal but with my sensitive feet they just don't work. I think they would be great for hiking and summer sports and could be even cute with a skirt. They appear to be a tough but stylish sandal.

I have had these sandals for almost 4 years and I have just now started to really like them. I purchased them because I wanted to have a good walking/hiking sandal. It is excellent for that purpose but I never really found these comfortable - the criss-cross pattern of the sole always made my feet feel raw after a few hours. Also, the loop that goes around my big toe will sometimes become too tight so that I will need to readjust the straps. I am 8 months pregnant right now and have started wearing these sandals again...for some reason they are really comfortable now and do not make my feet feel raw at all. I wear them every day now. If I had to buy new Chacos, I probably would go for one without a toe loop because I do find it annoying to have to reposition the straps of the sandals every couple of days. I would rather have sandals that are easier to slip into.

I love my Chacos. Very supportive and the bottoms have really good grip. My only complaint would be that after one day on the river they faded significantly. I ordered them in Serenity and love the color, but it has faded quite a bit. They still look good, just not as bright as they once were. No regrets, but 4 stars for the fade factor.

The toe bands take some breaking in and take awhile to get used to.

I was really excited to try this sandal! Unfortunately the back strap was too big, causing my heel to come out of the sandal every time I took a step. Combined with where the arch support hit - a little too far back on my foot - they have to be returned. The sandal hunt continues.
