I really enjoy Chacos foot bed and arch support. The look of the ZX2 is great, but I would suggest trying the ones without a toe loop too. I have a ZX pair that I always choose over these ones with the toe loop due to the discomfort of the toe loop. It's like your toe gets strangled as the movement of your foot pulls it tighter there. I have heard that people with a lower arch have fewer issues with the toe loop and mine is a moderate arch. These are very well constructed sandals so if they work for you you will have them for years.

I really wanted these to work. I like the sole of the sandal but couldn't get the straps to tighten as much as I wanted. I will keep trying different styles and hopefully find one that works!

These are great hiking sandals. I considered retreading my last pair but I decided to spring for new. I am glad that I did. I do street and trail hiking in these. They are the perfect active sandals.

I tried to love them but had to return them. PROS cute, comfortable foot bed, could see hiking in them,easily adjusted, great for a wide foot (D width). CONS they are heavy and a little clunky, I felt like they were wearing me...they didn't love me back!

Fits well, good support - a little difficult to get straps in the right place. Great shoe.

This is a great and comfy sandal, but be warned that the straps across the toes and top of your feet have no give, so they either fit right or they don't, and if they don't, there's nothing you can do. Back/ankle strap is also way too long, so it drags the ground, and it also comes loose a lot.

Comfort, but after a lot of walking I got a blister where the clasp is. Also, I think the stapes are too long on the side. The straps drag the ground.

These sandals are so cute with a very unique way of loosening to fit your foot well. Unfortunately I had to tighten back strap all the way and now I have to much excess handing almost to floor. Would be nice if there was some kind of loop to keep it back. For that reason they are going back. I don't want to cut the strap of a pricey sandal.

Best shoes for my foot with morton neuroma. I have 3 pairs of Chaco's...about the only shoe I ever wear. The only shoe I can wear without pain!

I loved it, I really wanted to keep it. It was really comfortable. My foot fit in the sandal, but the back strap, which does not tighten, was loose and did not hold my foot in. Since I couldn't adjust that part of it, I had to return it. I was able to adjust the rest of the sandal straps on top of my foot - even though it was really difficult and thankfully came with instructions. They seemed perfect for what I needed them for - walking around in rivers, hiking around while camping, or just running errands around town. Make them with adjustable back straps please.

These shoes are so comfortable and sturdy for hiking or working outside. Always get compliments on them! If your foot is wide, size accordingly.

Very comfortable. A little hard to adjust for comfort but worth the trouble. The biggest problem is the adjustment strap is to long and it drags on the ground. Need to go to a shoe repair to have it cut shorter.

This sandal starts off slightly uncomfortable. I even considered returning it because the toe loop is on the narrow side. I did find that the sandals are easier to put on if you put lotion on your feet first. However, now that I've owned it for six years and worn it on every occasion imaginable, I can say it's finally starting to get more comfortable and it doesn't yet show signs of wearing out even though I wear it on a regular basis. Hard to find a shoe that you can wear hiking and wading that also works in a non athletic setting as well.

These shoes are a bit hard to break into at first, but once they are worn for a while, they are very comfortable!

These shoes are stiff and heavy, but they got the job done (hiking in the hills of el Salvador.)

This sandal is very comfortable in the sole, I can work, hike, and even dress up in these shoes. The straps are adjustable at all points where it connects to the base. But it seems when I get my toe strap loosened to comfort, then the next strap in line, the final adjustment isn't really even. So the straps don't lay flush to my foot.

This is a very cute and durable sport sandal! Unfortunately, I wish that I had tried it on in the store instead of buying online--it was way bigger than what I normally find in my size. Although the double straps are adjustable, the heel strap is not, and mine was way too big. Even after cutting it apart and resewing to fit my heel, the shoe doesn't quite work the way I'd hoped. Maybe I just need to break them in a bit more. I'd recommend buying a full size down or trying it out in person first.

The sole is so comfortable but the straps around my toe kept getting too tight, no matter how much I loosened them. I'm going to sell these on eBay and buy the style without the toe strap.

I love these shoes! They are the only sandals I wear. They did have a little breaking in period which entailed sore feet but no blisters. The comfort I got once broken in was worth the initial discomfort. It only lasted a couple of days (I wore them all day long while sightseeing in Boston). The only challenge is sometimes the straps around the toe tighten as you walk, but the key is to learn how to adjust the straps to your liking. I've found that now the straps pretty much stay in place and are contoured to my foot. I love the arch support, and I notice my legs and knees aren't sore after a day of wearing these shoes like other shoes with no support. I love the delicate strappy style with the support and comfort of the sole. I highly recommend this sandal!

These are great because I can walk through creeks unhindered and look cute doing it! I got these to transition from hiking boots to sandals for summer hikes. I recommend the Unaweep sole for hiking; the tread is better. Runs big. I'm normally a 10 in the pre-Merrell Chacos, and I needed to get a 9. I recommend keeping the toe loops loose to avoid blisters. I've also had to periodically loosen the toe loops as they clamp down on your toe after a few sessions. Good cushioning and arch support. If you have old-style Chacos, keep them and take care of them with resoles, etc., as the new version doesn't fit as well or last as long.

I have so many friends that own and love Chaco sandals that I thought they would be a perfect choice for my holiday in England. I do like them a lot, but it has taken them a long time to break in, and so during my trip I could only wear them for short periods before they put parts of my feet to sleep. I keep playing with the webbing, and that makes it feel better for a bit, but in general I defaulted to shoes I'd owned for much longer.

I got these shoes in hopes of helping my poor feet. Both feet have been broken - more than once. I'm not sure why, but my feet just couldn't handle the Chacos. I had pain on the outside of my heels - sharp, stabbing pains - and pain in my big toes. I loosened the straps on my big toes but the pain persisted. I was very saddened by this. I've ordered some Vibram FiveFingers in Sprint to wear for running, hiking, and water sports activities. I'm hoping my poor feet have better luck with those. Too bad Zappos doesn't carry VFF. I thoroughly enjoy doing business with Zappos.

Overall great construction. I love how every strap is adjustable. However, this shoe has a very high arch, and if you are flat-footed like me it becomes very painful within 15 minutes of wear.

I love the arch support in these shoes and the ability to adjust all the straps. They are a little short and the next size up was too big, so they will have to do. Overall, I love the support and they are pretty comfortable. I just wish they were a tad bit longer or that they made half sizes.

I kind of hate athletic sandals so I ordered these reluctantly for a hiking trip, but they're pretty great. Like everyone else said, adjusting the straps took forever (I understand the double-strapped ones are harder) but now they fit great. Definitely order a size down; I usually wear 8.5-9 and the 8s fit perfectly. Also, I have super-narrow feet and these are just wide enough. So if you have feet of a normal width, you might consider ordering the wide. Comfortable, at least cute enough for the woods and durable.
