I bought these for my husband who was looking for sandals he could use in the water. Usually he doesn't like a thong because they don't stay on his feet but the extra straps keep them on. He loves them.

Had these for over a month now. Love these sandals. I wear them everyday. Great support.

These sandals rock! I am on my fifth pair and will continue to buy them. Very durable. Excellent footbed offering unrivaled arch support and heel stability. Grew up using the original Teva sandals when running river trips; wish that I had these then. I also prefer the old Vibram footbed/sole vs. the new eco friendly version: better traction and a slightly softer feel.

Great Sandals, very comfy and the extra straps help with securing the Chacos to your feet. I had to play with the straps a bit to finally get them to where I felt they were "just right"

This is my 4th pair of Hipthongs and I love them. When I saw this color, I just had to have it. I'm an overpronator and have Achilles tendon issues, from time to time, because of it. The arch support is great. I can wear them all day without my feet getting that sore, tired feeling and there is virtually no break-in time. I buy them from Zappos because their selection and customer service is second to none. Thank you so much!

Hip indeed - I purchased these to replace a worn out pair of keens- they fit the bill perfectly. I have owned them for 6 months now and am pleased as punch. They are heavier than most sandals, but I will not be wearing these out anytime soon. Great, just great.

Nice sandal - I had Chaco brand before, unfortunately I left them in a hotel room. I missed them terribly, so had to Order a new pair, tried these hipthongs. My girlfriend was always stealing mine (even though they were huge on her) so I also ordered her a pair and she loves hers. They are a little hard to put on until you get the hang of them, but are very comfortable, and of course will last forever with the Vibrim soles. My girlfriend says the adjustable straps are a little long on hers and wants me to cut them shorted so they don't drag on the ground.

The best flip-flop cross over, period. I can't believe I just bought these! Now that I have your attention, I'm going to tell you how comfortable these Hipthongs are. I am a Chaco can, and the best thing about it is, I can say that I have had a pair for about 6 years and counting. That’s not something you get to hear for many shoes and by far no flip flops I have ever had, will ever last as long as Chaco’s do. However, having owned a pair of Chaco’s that the size being M-9, and ordering these, I got a size bigger, because I felt the length wasn't as long as it needed to be on the Hip-thong. I have wide feet, so if that describes your foot, then I'd suggest getting a size larger than you normally do with these, just so they are long enough and fit just right. Most comfortable and convenient slip on sandal I have ever had. Great for walking, and short jogs, moonlight hikes with your loved ones wearing the same shoes...ahh... memories to come.

Nice flip/sandal hybrid! I love these things! They're extremely comfortable and stay snug on your foot.

Sandals - These shoes are really nice, casual shoes. They have a high arch which is great but it is a bit hard and takes some getting used to. Other than that, we just got back from a cruise and the shoes were wonderful. And always, Zappos is the BEST! I ordered them 1/2 size bigger and they were perfect. I wear a woman's 13 and am finding shoes that fit and are cute!

Great shoe - I love the fit and style of this shoe. Order the men's shoe for wider feet, very comfortable. I wore them immediately without problems. They feel true to size. I want more in different colors.

ChillyTrav! When my wife said she was buyin me sandals, I had no idea I would really like them! These are comfortable enough to wear in the house as slippers. When I heard the price I was a little skeptical, but these are worth every penny, and then some! Zappos continues to be the best on line shoe company we've ever encountered. Good job!

Greatest sandal ever - This is my second pair of Chacos and not my last. These are extremely comfortable and I can wear these all day no matter what I am doing.

Love the Hipthong - I have had a pair of the Z2s for about 5 years and I just received a new pair of these Hipthongs from Zappos. They are great! I wore them all weekend and they did not even need a breaking in period. As always Zappos is the world’s best internet retailer. I ordered them at 7pm and the next day they were at my house.

Great flop - I love this product. It took about a week to break in. It gave me a small cut on my middle toe on both feet, however, after about a week, it was gone. They are very supportive and do not "flop" due to the fact that you can tighten them on your feet. I read one other review that claimed that they were difficult to slide your feet in to. This statement is probably true, if comparing this shoe to other flops that do not have as much support, however, I have not had much of a problem at all getting these on my feet. The benefits of having them stay on so well outweighs the negatives of these shoes taking more time to put on. I am very pleased with these flops.

Great Shoe - Order Men's if Ladies are too narrow - I bought this shoe looking for something I could wear around the pool and not worry about getting my feet wet. I also wanted something stylish that I could wear out shopping as well. I had debated getting a pair of Birkenstocks for the comfort. After the first time I wore these shopping I was so glad I bought the Chaco Hipthong instead. While I was shopping it started pouring down rain. I was able to get out to my car and not worry about getting my feet wet and ruining my shoes. I continued shopping despite the rain and I was amazed at how quickly the shoes and straps dried out. I was able to wear the shoes all day and my feet didn’t hurt. The straps were starting to rub in a few places but nothing unbearable. Overall these are great shoes, very comfortable and functional. I ordered my first pair in a women’s size 10. I loved how they looked but the straps cut into the tops of my feet and the sole was a little too narrow. I was very disappointed that I had to send them back until I found the same style in men’s sizes. The men’s size 9 fit perfect. The straps were looser and more comfortable. The sole was also wider and fit my foot better without being to chunky. I think these are going to be my favorite summer sandal.

Good looking sandal - This is a great sandal that combines good looks with comfort, and excels at both, nice to hike in, great for the city and any other activity. Looks cool when worn with shorts or pants. Good buy!

Z/Rivative Hipthong - Hipthong is a very comfortable sandal. The adjustable buckle allows for a perfect fit.

Great quality, super fit - Best of all, totally cool. Let's face it...flip flops are here to stay. Are you going to wear surfer chic cheapo cool? Better off with crafts store .99 crap and deal with your persona - who cares? But these are quality sandals that I wear hiking as easily as every day throw-ons. Only negative is traction on dry, worn stone - i.e. Uxmal ruins, etc. when one would wish for some ground abrasive in the rubber.

The hipthong; is much more substantial. Super comfortable, and definitely capable of hiking and abuse. It's a little heavy for a thong, but seems like it will last a long time. I waffled between the 11 and the 12, but finally settled on the 11, which is what I normally wear.

The "Hipthong" is more substantial than earlier Chaco models and seems really well-built and comfortable. I like the substantial sole and the multiple straps; seems like a great hiking thong. I waffled a little between the 11 and the 12 (normally wear an 11) and finally bought the 11, the 12 was way too big. Really comfortable even if a little heavy.
