The sandal ? is nice and I really like ?? them. Unfortunately the strap that goes across the toe area was too tight and made my foot sore. Even though it has an adjustable strap I could not get it loose enough to be comfortable due to the fact that there is an elastic band that goes across the toe area that connects to Both sides of the strap and therefore limits the amount that you can loosen the strap. It is unfortunate because I really liked these sandals ?!

The front lycra is very constricting for someone {me} with Morton's Neuroma. Love Eccos, but they're hard to fit my fussy foot. The lycra makes the front piece impossible to adjust.

Not enough arch support for me. Didn’t find them very comfortable.

This Sandal did not have enough arch support for me. I wear orthotics and thought from some reviews this shoe had a good arch support. It did not work for me. Back to my Birkenstock’s.

Reordered Yucatan, it's different from the last pair. They have added a elasticized insert beneath the toe strap, rubs my toes and is irritating. Had to return them. Also, the same size has a decidedly shorter foot bed.

I really wanted to love these sandals. I love Ecco shoes, and I needed to replace a pair of 15-year-old Ecco sandals that have treated me very well. The Ecco Yucatan line gets lots of love from reviewers. Unfortunately, I found that the foot bed surface was extremely uncomfortable. My feet became sweaty almost instantly, and while there was arch support, it really didn't feel natural. I really wish I could find an Ecco sandal that has a leather footbed or a cork footbed, and a little bit more cushioning. In the meanwhile, I decided to try sandals from Naot, which have been treating me much better. PS. If you want to try these anyway, they run a bit large. I take a 43 in Ecco shoes, but 42 in these Ecco sandals.

The sandal fit well and were a great fit, but for the price I thought they would last longer. After two years of hard wear the straps are tearing where they are connected to the sole. I will try another pair and see if they last any longer.

A great sandal to start with! It is comfortable and stylistically, it goes with any clothes brown shoes go with, which is almost everything. The problem is the insole. Soft, yes. Comfortable, yes. But it stinks to high heavens! Now, my feet do not stink very much. If I wear one pair of socks three days in a row camping, those can get a little ripe, but in general you can put any of my shoes or sandals right up in your face and only get a faint whiff of anything. Not this insole. After two weeks of wear I have to store the sandals outside, they stink so bad. They literally stink up the house! I have tried washing the insole with baking soda, 409, various soaps, vinegar... you name it, and the smell is just as bad within a week or two. My favorite sandals ever, other than that. Because of that, not a recommend.

I bought this yucatan sandal at the beginning of the summer 2010. At first they felt really great on my feet. I have high arches and was having some trouble with my right foot. Everyone raved about the ecco\'s as I was not real familiar with the ecco brand. So I thought I would give them a chance. I was not completely satisfied with the right shoe. the back strape is low on my heel and there for the shoe would never fit properly. I wore them all summer without a complaint to ecco, only to myself. I\'m going to try a pair of ecco sport running shoes. If not completely satified I will have to try a different brand all together. Good sandals, not good for wet conditions (they stay wet forever), I don\'t like the foam soles, I\'m going to order sandals with rubber soles. The foam started wearing away almost instantly, although not much has worn away in a year, but it leaves black marks on my feet, although it\'s not so bad. Would not buy these again, but they aren\'t terrible.

Perfect except for the abrasive sole material... I've had these sandals for 2 years, replaced a previous pair of Josef Seibels. These are great looking and fundamentally comfortable sandals, plenty of support. My issue is that over long periods of walking, the material that the insole is made of is very abrasive and hurts and blisters the bottom of my feet. It’s such a shame because I could comfortably wear these sandals for years, but because of this, I'm planning on going back to Josef Seibels. I have seen some newer ones of the same model in stores and the insoles seem softer, maybe they've changed them...

These sandals fit well, but I wore them in the kitchen doing errands and the arch support hurt my feet. These are going back.

I like this sandal very much. However, they have a very strong industrial rubber odor. They stink up the closet. When I leave them out I can smell them. I will try putting them in the washing machine.

My husband loves the fit and comfort of these, but after 8 weeks of wear on the weekends they stink so bad they are no longer allowed in the house. No other sandals he has ever had have developed this awful stench. These were quite the splurge, so it’s very disappointing.

I am a male who has a lot of Ecco shoes. I used to wear a size 41, but lately i have been needing a size 42 in their shoes. When I ordered these sandals I knew to order down a size and ordered them in size 41. This size proved to be far too big, and I re-ordered a size 40 which fit. Unfortunately I found the sandal to be slender and feminine looking, which is always a problem when you have relatively small feet. Sp despite their comfort and support i returned them. I will be looking at similar sandals made by Keen and Merrell, both of which appear to a bit beefier.

Very hard sole. Not easy to work into. Not sure I will ever be able to wear these for a long period...maybe my permanent dress shoe!

I had a previous pair of Ecco sandals which were very comfortable and lasted a few years. When I came to replace them, the size information was worn off, so I didn't know exactly which size to order again (sizes can be very different between different shoe companies). I tried calling Ecco USA, hoping that if I gave them the measurements of my existing sandals then they could tell me what size that would be, but they were extremely unhelpful. Still, these were very comfortable sandals, so I decided to order some from Zappos. Zappos customer service was superlative, by the way. I have absolutely no problem recommending them to anybody. Free overnight shipping, are you kidding??? Ecco, on the other hand, I am having some second thoughts about. Previously, I have been recommending them to everybody, since they have been so comfortable in the past. However, these sandals are not what I have come to expect. For one thing, they are definitely narrower than the previous pair I had, and yet they seem to be the same nominal size (they were the same length, and they do otherwise fit me). The width is not comfortable; they just feel like I'm wearing very narrow sandals. I use them regularly for everyday walking around, but nothing I would characterize as unusual activity. Yesterday, I noticed that the sole near the heel is completely worn through to the inner material. Obviously these sandals are worn out in less than one year of normal use. The previous set lasted more than four years. I am not very happy with Ecco at this point.

Nice appearance but poor cushioning - This sandal is excellent in appearance and comfortable from the standpoint of the strap positions in relation to the foot. That said, the cushioning is very firm to the point it is almost nonexistent.

They felt great wearing around the house but once outdoors at the beach they caused blistering around the toe area and inside ankle. The neoprene was uncomfortable and stretched when wet. The velcro came undone frequently when wet. I would not recommend these for anything other than light casual wear in dry conditions.

Ordered the Ecco Yucatan Sandal and received a Ecco Yucatan Sandal box with "Rockport Sandals" inside. Sent them back and am waiting for my refund. In the meantime, I reordered the Ecco sandals again and received the correct pair of sandals. Thank you.

I've been wearing ECCO Yucatans for years and have found it to be the best shoe for me in terms of comfort. When I got this latest pair, I found that the sole felt rather harder than previous pairs but wore them anyway because the fit was as good as it's always been. Big mistake -- by the end of the day, I was hobbling around with pain in my right foot and knee. Having worn them, it's now too late to return them, and I'm stuck with a very expensive pair of sandals that I can't wear. This was a huge disappointment and an expensive lesson in the perils of shopping for shoes online. I'm hoping that this is just a one-off and that I'll find another pair of Yucatans that feel as good as they always have. Or maybe ECCO is going in a different direction with this model and I need to find something else to live in.
