A lot smaller than expected -
I wear 10.5 male shoes. Got these in 11 and they are still fairly snug. The color is cool though. Not sure if they are really worth the money.

Reef Leather Smoothy: White -
I found these shoes to be very comfy, and look great. I would recommend them to anyone. My only gripe, and it is a very very small one, is that the white seems to fade rather quickly. However, my feet cover it, so no matter.

Leather Smoothy is Cool -
I like the look and feel of this sandal. My daughter thinks it is very cool. The arch supports are a bit uncomfortable when I am standing, but I think this may dissipate with time and as my foot adjusts to the sandal.

They didn't seem the right size -
The sandals don't look too bad, but the size 12's that I ordered are more like an 11 1/2 or even as small as an 11. I own a pair of the Reef sandals with the bottle openers on the bottom, and the 12's fit really well. These ones are, unfortunately, definitely too small.

I bought a men's style because the Reef women's' flip flops are now so narrow. The fit on these was great, but the footbed on was already wrinkled at the toe and another edge looked rough-edged. Not sure if that happened in shipping or if that is just the current quality, but definitely not worth the cost. Going to get my old Reefs re-soled...better for the environment anyway!

The new smoothy's have the REEF logo which is on the heel deeply indented into the leather and it is actually a little uncomfortable since it is not smooth. The old ones (and I have had at least 4 pairs over the years ) have the logo printed on the heel section but you don't feel it.

My husband loved the way these looked. However, they felt a full size smaller; he’s usually a 15 but this 15 his heel was hanging off the end. Order a full size up, for sure! He said they weren’t as comfortable as he hoped either.

I buy a pair of these every year for as far back as I can remember. I basically have to bc everyday wear will destroy them in a matter of months. Everything else is pretty much spot on just wish they were more durable. Main problems seems to be the gum sole hardening and then peeling away from the other layers of material which only gets worse with walking. The only reason I keep buying them is bc I haven't found another flop in the same style that I can stand to wear, it's purely aesthetic.

Not what I was looking for after I got them and had a look at them. But they do.

Didn't see that much on the sizing, so here you go. I wear a 10 - 10.5 in most shoes. Could not fit in the Reef 10's and I've been really working the 11's in. I kinda wish I had gone with the 12's but never thought I would need to size up almost two full sizes. I don't believe I have that wide of a foot, so just keep that in mind when purchasing.

I am disappointed that these Reef Leather Smoothy flip flops run so narrow. I have an older Reef flip flop (different model) that fits great, but these are way too narrow. It was a size 11 and I can't imagine too many men with feet that size that would take this narrow a sandal. Other than that, they appeared to be very comfortable and well made. It is a very good looking sandal.

They run very small, I'm a 10.5 all day and I wish I had bought 11.5. I got the 11s and they are nipping at my heels. Very comfortable though and look good (not great), I had a pair of quicksilver sandals around 2001 that have never been matched. I expected more from the brand.

My boyfriend loves these shoes, they fit him well, they look nice but we've had one major issue! They dye his feet brown! At first we thought it was a fluke and would go away with time but he had them for months and it just kept happening. We tried washing the shoes and dye just ran everywhere and stained the tub, and eventually it ruined the shoes. We tried a second time thinking that maybe it was just that pair but this second pair has done the exact same thing. Zappos amazing customer service has helped us quickly resolve the matter of the troublesome shoe, I just wish they could give me this shoe without it turning his feet strange colors.

The are my first pair of Reef sandals. My wife has a couple pair, the reviews were generally positive, so I was optimistic. I won't rule out another Reef style, but I won't be buying these again. The footbed is too thin and quickly compresses at the heel until there is no padding...in just a few weeks of casual wear. Also, the surface of the footbed creased immediately right under the ball of foot. This felt uncomfortable and looks bad as well. All in all, not worth the money to me.

My husband loves the way these sandals fit but the brown dye covers the bottoms of his feet. I'm buying them in bronze hoping those won't dye his feet.

Another reviewer mentioned that the top part of the sandal is uncomfortable when it rubs on your foot. I agree. I'm male, 28 years old, and it bugged me. You don't notice it right away -- only after walking in them a bit. I could have returned them, but I like the style a lot and I couldn't find any leather sandals like this which were very simple. My solution: I got some sand paper and just rubbed the top part for a few minutes to smooth the edges. Worked perfectly and now these sandals are extremely comfortable. I know I shouldn't have to do this, but again, I really like the look of them. Still, I consider this a defect which is why I'm deducting 2 stars from the overall and comfort. First pair of Reef sandals I've had issues with and I have a few. The choice of material strikes me as odd considering they know it's going to make contact with your foot regularly. Sizing -- they do run small on the sizing. I went a full size up as others have said and it worked perfectly. I normally wear a 12 and went with a 13. No way a 12 would fit.

These sandals are nice, and they go with almost anything from surf shorts to summer pants and a polo. The problem I have with them is that the top leather started to separate from the foam base after about 1 year of use (seasonal). Then sand got into the sticky glue under the leather sole and they are pretty much useless now. This was my first pair of leather flips and I think I'll go with the non-leather version next.

I bought these, along with another pair of standard issue black smoothies to replace my 6 year old black smoothies that had finally fallen apart. I'll be frank: They're comfortable, but the leather separated from the sole on the left foot about a week of heavy use (I was on vacation). I don't know if this was due to manufacturing or the fact that it's the foot I work the clutch with but it happened. Around a month or so later the right foot leather also started to separate from the sole. Here's the thing though: Even completely separated the leather sits flat and I really don't notice it, so I still wear 'em. Overall they're good, but be prepared for the leather issue. That's really the only downside and it was sort of startling if you knew just how beat up those old pair of black smoothies got over the course of 6 years.

I have bought a pair of these every year for almost a decade now. Sad to say that the quality has gone way downhill the past couple years. I had to send this year\'s pair back to Reef (not Zappos, who is great!) within 3 weeks because the surface layer of leather was peeling significantly from the rubber sole. While waiting for a replacement (6 weeks), I needed to buy another pair. That one started peeling within 2 weeks! Clearly, they\'ve opted for cheaper glue. I\'m sad to say I\'ll be buying a pair of Rainbows next summer instead.

Good quality overall. My only gripe is that the material in the front extends beyond your toes, which means that your heel borders the back of the sole. I got a size 10 and they look too small on me because so much space is lost to the toes.

Nice flip-flop. Very comfortable and I really like the style of them. The down side is that the top leather footbed began to separate from the rest of the sandal after a few weeks of wear. Maybe I got a defective pair? Anyway, it was nothing a little superglue couldn't fix. C'mon Reef, get it together.

So I've been holding out on buying some good flip flops for awhile. I've heard nothing but good things about reefs but couldn't bring myself to pay so much for flip flops. Unfortunately I regret my decision. The leather on the top surface is already peeling away from the layer below (after about 2 weeks). It wrinkles up when I'm wearing them. They're still wearable but I was expecting something much more durable for the price I paid. I'm willing to give Reef another shot, but they better not let me down again.

No Fanning Here...
Great Look, but Reef Fanning spoiled me...If you’re used to the way Fannings feel and their support you may be disappointed. In my opinion, once you go Reef Fanning it's hard to go with anything else.

Great looking but don't wear if feet will be wet -
I have the tan/tan version and they are comfortable and good looking. The problem is that if your feet are wet (for example, getting out of a pool) the tan dye bleeds onto your wet feet. It comes off with soap and water and a bit of scrubbing, but I would not recommend these flip flops if you are going to have wet feet.
