I always wear a size 6 but these feel too big & I bought two :(

I have bought a few pairs of the Fanning, and bought the Leather Fanning a year ago because the look was phenomenal. Extremely comfortable, but should be worn when going to parties and not around the house. The style is excellent, however too much use wears them out too quickly. The leather on the inside starts to rip away after a few months, so it's best to have another pair of sandals for use around the house. PS. Whoever said to get rid of the bottle opener is nuts. The bottle opener is what sets these sandals apart from the rest. Nothing better than sitting at a party and saying "I don't need an opener. I got one right here."

I absolutely love the look of these flip-flops. However working on the docks, and using these nearly every day for only a month, they have experienced severe wear and are no longer comfortable, and hardly wearable, bottom tread is worn down by about 60% and the middle strap has come off, the padding has also flattened to where it is no longer comfortable. Should you buy these, they are not good beach sandals, as just a bit of water can ruin the front strap. I would only recommend these for limited casual wear.

So I ordered a pair of the fannings. I ordered them knowing that the leather fannings are what I wanted, but reef either doesn't offer size fifteen or doesn't have them available, going on two years now. New fannings (non leather) are garbage. Poorly made from skin irritating materials. I will be returning.

I got mine from an authorized reef seller online. This is my fourth pair of reefs over the years and the quality consecutively gets worse over the years but the price goes up. I don't know why companies think it's okay to do this to their faithful customers but it's really becoming par for the course. I guess people are just getting stupider and more accepting of junky throw away merchandise. They are also darker than advertised in the stock photos. This will most likely be my last pair of reefs. I've always said these runs about a half size bigger. I wear a 12 shoe in everything but I've always worn an 11 in reefs and I still do to this day.

Straps not flexible enough, causing lacerations to my foot.

I have really enjoyed wearing these sandals, but recently the center toe-piece came out of the base of the sandal rendering them totally useless. Very disappointed..

The sandals are comfortable and look great. This is my second pair and I've had the same issue on both. The straps pull out from the base and make them unwearable. For the cost of the sandals they should have greater durability.

My third pair, same size same model , in the past 4 years. The most recent purchase are considerably smaller than the last.

Sole separated in less than a month. I would like to return these

Always having had a good experience with Fanning style..I had one pair for almost 7 years with no problem... well not the case I bought these a few months ago... and the strap came completely out of the sandal

Purchased in September 2019 and they have already started falling apart. Right heel has disintegrated and delaminated. Generally worn on weekends. This was my third pair of Reefs and it appears quality is declining.

They hold up in prolonged salt water. By prolonged I mean 15 minutes.

Just got a new pair of brown "leather" fanning sandals from an online order. Noticed right away they are not leather like my previous pair was. The portion of the "leather" sandal that your foot fits into and comes in contact with is cheap nylon. The outside visible portion of the sandal is leather but that's it. My older pair was leather throughout. Reef is getting cheap in manufacturing but keeping the costs to consumers up.

Product really irritated between my toes. Have bought similar products and they are great-something wrong with this one.

i was given a new pair of reef fanning,s as a gift over a year ago now. i didn't start using them until about a month ago as i still had a pretty good pair of reef fanning,s on the go, so didn't want to use the new ones until the older ones were on their last legs. i took them away with me on a surf trip back in February and within a week of my trip the 3 side straps that slide into the 3 side grooves in the rubber came out on one of them ! i guess as its over a year since they were purchased the warranty will be void . pretty disappointing, but like most things these days , quality is not like it used to be. if anyone has any tips on how to repair them would be greatly appreciated.

The right flip flop strap that covers my foot has caused a rubbing irritation of the skin to the point that I cannot wear the flip flops.

My mom sent me 2 pairs of these sandals and I got about 6 months of casual wear before the soles started to come apart just behind the bottle opener. I dragged them out today to repair them after sitting under my bed for a couple of years and the foam disintegrated in the heel. The sandals look like they're only a couple months old but just fell apart. Reef isn't the only manufacturer making crumy products, my boots, boat shoes and other major manufacturer shoes are falling apart because of inferior glues used on the soles. I remember when my shoes would wear out, not fall apart and then get tossed in the garbage. I don't trust all those positive revews anymore.

I have bought dozens of pairs of the Fanning Leather. I literally have 3 pairs in my closet and try to keep a good pair and every day pair and a work around the house pair. I went to get another pair and the design has changed. Changed in a Bad way! I don't like the upper fabric, it not as cool in temperature as the leather was and irritates my skin. Why are you changing the perfect flop? I am very disappointed. I would pay more for an all leather upper, cost is not an issue and how much more could it cost? I am sure someone was trying to save money and increase profits at reef but you are just driving customers away to have to find a competitor who has a product that the consumer wants. I don't want this new design and now i am forced to find someone who has a great product like you once had.
