After reading all of the reviews for these Reefs, I thought I would be a bit more impressed with them than I am. They're fairly comfortable and a bit more than your average flip-flop but not much. They seem to be well-made, and hopefully they'll wear well. Not bad, but nothing special.

Based on the price and the Zappos reviews of the Reef Fanning, I had very high expecations of these flip flops. I expected these to be very comfortable and very stylish. These only got it half right. They are very stylish but the piece that goes between the toes is very uncomfortable. After wearing them a few times, my feet have gotten more used to them but they are still not the most comfortable flip flop I have ever worn, which is what I was expecting.

Could use cushioning! They look great, but they could be a lot more comfortable. The footbed has very little cushioning.

I love the color and style of these shoes BUT unfortunately I had to return them because they were VERY NARROW, even though I don't have wide feet!!

There are better alternatives - First off I'd have to say that I'm very happy with Zappos service. Fast shipping and a competitive price compared to other on-line retailers. As to the Reef Fanning sandal I'm lukewarm at best. The strap is comfortable. The heel counter is not very good and slipping to the side is constant. As a longtime sandal wearer I found myself with Achilles tendon pain that I have not experienced with other brands, probably due to the elevated heel. In it's place I'd recommend the Topsider Santa Cruz. Less expensive, heel cup that holds the foot centered more comfort and arch support in the footbed and a non-marking sole for boat use.

We knew to order 1 size larger from a previous purchase. Great shoes, but not if you have tile floors. The bottle opener on the bottom of this sandal will scratch and take the finish off of the tile. I liked these without this feature. I did not realize it was even there until I got them. My fault.

Looks great, but... The look and feel of this sandal is awesome...but it's definitely NOT for wide feet. The material is designed to go back to its original shape so don't think you can stretch them out...other than that they are pretty cool to have.

Somewhat Disappointed - I recently purchased the Reef Fanning sandal and realized I should have gone the size up. I wear a 9.5 normally. Since these only come in full sizes, make sure you order the next size up. After getting these sandals and wearing them the first time. They were quite uncomfortable between the toes. Almost as if the material was just too thick. I have been wearing them off and on now since and am getting more used to it but it’s still not as comfortable as I would have hoped, especially after reading the reviews. Otherwise, a pretty cool and unique sandal. Everybody gets a kick out of the bottle opener.

Used to be a very comfortable shoe but they changed the stamp on the inset with the sizing info to now a sticker which rubs very badly. This is the second pair of this new style I’ve had and I may end up buying a different shoe next time around.

Made my knees hurt. I don’t have a similar experience with the Teva thong or the Reef sandal. But great look.

You sent the wrong Reef style. But i'll keep what you sent. I have ordered the same for the last 8 years and the wrong SKU sent.

The fit size was fine. However, there was no arch support whatsoever. I didn't realize there was a bottle opener underneath (my fault, didn't read the fine print). Not sure I'd want to use the bottom of my flip flop to open a bottle. The bottle opener is right underneath the arch of the foot so I could literally feel the metal opener under your feet. I am, and always have been impressed with Zappos and was able to easily return them.

Did not realize this has a bottle opener at the bottom that weighs the shoe down until my boyfriend wore them several times. Not too comfy either. Reef has been great to my boyfriend and I through the years, but the quality is getting cheaper and cheaper which will eventually cause lifelong foot problems for people. I hope shoe companies and particularly, established shoe companies like Reef gets it together and thinks about the future of their customers rather than the “now” to make a $dollar.
