The boots were comfortable and very well made. I haven't had a pair of cowboy boots since I was four (more than 20 years ago), and I am was very excited to make these my first pair as an adult.

I already had a pair of Ariat hikers that I wear for all my gardening and yard work, as well as camping and hiking. They have been really comfortable from the first time I tried them on, and show very little wear after 3 years of hard use. So when I started looking for a pair of "cowgirl boots" I went back to the Ariat brand. Not only did I receive my boots in record time (thank you Zappos!) but they are incredibly comfortable. I've worn them shopping for hours on end, country line dancing (although the rubber soles make sliding a bit difficult), and just general knocking about. I love the distressed, almost "broken in" look of this color, and am already thinking about getting another pair in black. And I must mention the reasonable price for a pair of quality, well-made leather boots that I know are going to last me for years to come. Thanks Ariat and Zappos!

Wonderful boots. Very comfortable. Can wear them all day and walk for miles. Very true to size. Have purchased 2 pairs for myself and one as a gift. Best boots I've ever owned.

First off, I love cowboy boots because virtually all of them have excellent arch support. I have a narrow foot, and have some difficult foot issues that are resolved by the raised heel and strong arch provided by western boots. That said, my new Ariats were comfort plus when I put them on. The sole is not leather like most, and has a quieter feel when I walk. I think these B width boots are a bit more narrow, and make a snugger fit on my slim foot. The distressed hide makes them an everyday knock around boot. They are well made, and I certainly recommend them!

Boots are great. The greatest is Zappos. They make buying online easy with a speedy delivery and excellent exchange or return rate.

These boots are super cute, but I had to send them back. They are super narrow. Plenty of room in the calf area though. I'm getting a similar boot, same brand. They are also darker than they look, but I think the darker color is more popular and trendy. Overall, I really liked them I just couldn't wear them.

Built for comfort AND for speed! These boots are, as others have said, a little darker than they appear in the photo - think "brown bomber jacket" color. I just got them, so haven't worn them for any length of time yet, but they immediately feel super comfortable, like they were made for my feet! Can't wait to spend more time in them. And Zappos had them on my doorstep literally 18 hours after I hit the order button - you cannot beat that!

Ariat Heritage Western R-toe! WOW! Ordered these on a Tues. at 4pm, had them Wed. at noon! Zappos’ service is 5 star! Now to the boots: great looking, comfortable, genuine. These boots will darken with use and age and only look and feel better and better. I ordered a 7C and they felt true to size. I have a very high instep and the ball of my foot is on the wider side. The first time I put them on, they felt a little snug across the arch area, but within an hour, they felt pretty good, but I will have to wear a thinner sock. Comfortable heel height, understated and genuine working cowgirl boots. I can ride, shop, go to dinner, wear a skirt or jeans, and these boots will still look fantastic. A little lighter color than I like, but given time, they will develop a great patina. The first day I got them, I hosed them down with water and stain repellent and I anticipate these boots lasting a long, long time. You can't go wrong with Ariat and Zappos!

Great boots - These boots are very comfortable. I did end up exchanging the 8B for an 8C because I needed a little more room in the left instep. Suggest spraying them with water repellent as they are suede. Zappos customer service was outstanding. I found these boots for a lower price and they handled the credit efficiently and gracefully. Size exchange was a breeze too.

Ariat boots - I got this boot because it was listed to have a removable insole and I wear orthotics. The insole is indeed removable, but I think it's going to take longer than I'd expected to wear the leather out correctly in order to make the orthotic fit right. It's a really pretty boot with a nice design. It's for show for me, I don't ride many horses, but I think it will be a good pair for jeans or skirts. If you wear orthotics...maybe cowboy boots are not the ideal choice for you unless you're willing to really break them in. Also, as with any good leather shoe, it does take a little time to break in the leather enough on the top of the foot to get your foot in comfortably. Once it's in, though, the boot is very comfortable.

Most comfortable cowboy boot ever! I've worn Justin, Dan Post, Tony Llama, and Lucchese. Those are all good boots, but since getting these Ariats about 8 years ago they are the only boots I'll ever buy or wear. I live on a farm in cowboy country where many folks wear western boots, and I can wear these all day, even while working outside and doing lots of walking. They also hold up very well and take a lot of abuse. Mine look a little beat up, but that's OK, they look like "working" boots, which they are. I've since bought a few other pair of Ariats, for "dress-up" and they are all this Heritage style. Great boots!

Great boots - These are amazingly comfortable, and lots of fun. They were a little tight across the top of the instep at first, but quickly loosened up. I've received many compliments on them. I also bought them in black, and walked for miles in a city with them.

Like coming home - Years ago my husband and I had a country band. We only wore boots and jeans. In the early 80's we began writing other styles of music and had to change the way we dressed. We just retired and the first thing I bought was these boots. They felt great out of the box and are just as comfy as I remember. Sharp looking too, great for every day and I'd proudly wear them onstage.

IMHO: The Best Boot - I have never been dissatisfied with Ariat shoes and boots. I have two pairs of Heritage boots and several pairs of Ariat shoes. They are among the few kinds of shoes that I can wear all day at my retail job. With care, they also hold up very well. One of the pairs of boots is 10 years old and they still look wonderful. (I always spray my Ariats with protective spray and I try not to wear them in inclement weather.) I've looked at Frye boots, which seem to be very popular now, and I always choose Ariat--comparatively, I think that they are a good buy. Good quality for a decent price--what more can you want?

Great kicks - I love these boots! I got them to wear at my wedding in Asheville, NC and they were perfect.

Great boot - I've always wanted cowboy boots and I was so happy to get these. I have other styles of Ariat shoes and they are so comfortable. These are comfortable also. They look good with jeans and with long skirts. Love them!

If You Want Them to Make a Fashion Statement, These Are It - I ordered these along with two pairs of Durangos and two pairs of Lucchese. The Ariats won, hands down, for their look (scalloped tops), color (rich, warm medium brown -- not ash or cheesy tan), design (beautiful stitching but no rodeo queen embellishment), and comfort (amazing insoles). They were the clear winner, and since I chose them I haven't taken them off. I walk everywhere in them! I wear a 9.5/10 and needed a 10, despite exhortations here that you should order half a size down. I couldn't even get my foot into the 9.5.

8 years later and these still look brand new! They are comfortable, easy to pull on and fit my wide foot perfectly! I can wear these with anything and they are very durable! Some of my FAVORITE boots ever!

I reviewed these boots when I first received them, and wanted to post an update because I am still head over heels in love with them! I've had them for four years now and while I don't wear them every day, they have held up nicely and are still super comfortable. The only time they failed me was at a 3 1/2 hour Springsteen show when I was in general admission and standing the whole time plus standing for several hours before...they left me in pain that night (since then I wear my hiking boots for that kind of thing). To me these are the perfect western boot. I would not hesitate to buy Ariat again - very, very, very happy with these.
