I am on my sixth pair of Mephisto Heidi sandals. I have "problem" feet. These sandals are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Being a Californian, I can wear them year round. I believe all but one pair was purchased from Zappos. I'll be wearing Heidis as long as they are made.

Mephisto is a great shoe. All styles run small. If you need a size 10, order 11 and maybe they fit. I ordered this sandal in 12 and had to return. I normally order 11 and 12 was still too small. Would have needed a size 13. Their sizing is off. Sandal is well made, as are all Mephistos.

Detailed size charts on Zappos website very helpful. Shoes fit perfectly. Very comfortable with good arch support.

I have back problems and this shoe has helped a lot.The shoe is a bit heavy but the comfort out weighs the heaviness of the shoe.

These are so comfortable! I have painful heel issues and these sandals are very supportive and have great arch support! I also love the cushy footbed and the fact that you can adjust the fit with the buckles on the straps! I always wear a US size 10, but I wear a 41 in these. I highly recommend them if you're looking for cute, comfy sandals!! :)

Mephisto sandals are the best. Once they're broken in, you'll want to wear nothing else. The Heidi is a nice basic sandal. I'm looking forward to wearing it for many years.

Great sandal! Mephisto is a wonderful brand and their sandals in this style are so comfortable. I had some trouble with plantar fasciitis, and wearing these sandals helps so much! The arch support is excellent. When I come home after a day of wearing "street shoes" and put on these sandals, I feel like I'm getting a foot massage. It's wonderful. Love the sandals. Plus Zappos shipped them to me super fast and their return policy is win-win! I just with they came in black they aren't made in black. Better than Birkenstock because the slightly elevated heel is better for plantar fasciitis and other foot problems.

These shoes are wonderful. I have fussy feet and can wear them all day long.

My feet over pronate, so arch support is very important. These shoes are awesome! They are just as good as my motion control running shoes, if not better. After just a few hours my feet felt infinitely better. I love these shoes and wear them all the time. To work, to play, when I'm going to be on my feet for long periods of time or NOT! You can't go wrong with these shoes.

The Mephisto Heidi has the most comfortable footbed of any shoe I\'ve ever worn. I\'ve been a Mephisto fan for years, but this shoe rises to new heights. I\'ve developed arthritis in the bones leading to my big toes, resulting in pain when I walk in most shoes. But not this sandal! As is the case with many Mephisto sandals, the uppers are hard leather that take some time to break in. Nevertheless, these sandals became my favorite pair of shoes from the time I first put them on. I do wish the toe strap were a bit longer; even on the loosest setting, it\'s too tight to wear socks.

This is my 3rd pair of Heidi's. I wear them nearly everyday because of the fit and comfort. I recently had a total knee replacement and they were the first new pair of sandals I bought because I knew they would be the best support.

I love these sandals! with the adjustment of the straps they were comfortable from the minute I put them on. I don't want to take them off!

What can I say but hooked. This was my 2nd order from Zappos and I wasn't sure what would happen after I received my shoes, to find them too small. I immediately called the 1-800 line and spoke with the most friendly, cheerful, and supportive representative. She assisted me with my exchange, she answered all of my questions and alleviated my concerns on fees. This call was made at 4:30pm. At 5 o'clock the next day my shoes were on my porch and I live rural! I was amazed. I have already told several friends about this experience.Then last week on Sunday Morning I saw the cover story on the company. No wonder the employees are so happy and I do not agree with the opinion that having happy, content employees might not be a good thing, makes no sense. I say, keep up the great work.

These are so great for my aching feet! Much more comfortable all around than Birkenstock. I had a pair in nubuck years ago, but I much prefer the grain leather. I was unsure about which size, 39 or 40, due to other reviews; but went with my usual size 39. They fit well, though with no extra room to spare. I would not have needed the larger size.

This is the second pair of Heidis I've bought from Zappos. Mephistos in general are the most comfortable shoes, and Heidis are no exception. I wore the first pair so much that when it came time to replace them, I just bought another pair. The foot bed fits snugly and there is nice arch support. The style is pretty plain, but the shoe is so comfortable that I don't mind. I would recommend Mephistos to anyone, and bought a pair for my mother also. The only other shoe I've ever bought that fits so comfortably right out of the box is Ferragamo. I wear a size 9 American shoes, and size 40 European. The Mephisto 40 fits my foot perfectly and is amazingly comfortable.And of course, the Zappos shopping experience is always wonderful.

I buy a new pair of these every year and wear them to death. They\'re kind of ugly cute and incredibly comfortable. Nice feature - you can get additional holes punched in both straps if they get too loose, which mine do, because I do a lot of walking in them. I wish they came in more colors.

After a one-day break-in (with socks)during which the cork food bed adjusts and the straps soften just a bit, these sandals will take you many miles in easy comfort and support. All shoes should be this great.

Runs small - The Heidi is great! I followed the advice on Zappos and ordered one size bigger so the fit was perfect. Comfortable from the get go.

5 stars - I love these shoes, this is the 3rd pair I have had, they are great for walking, and divine comfort.

Love love love these - Anyone with foot problems should try these, they are the best. The support is unbelievable. Wish I could wear them all winter, the best shoe I have ever bought.

This is my third pair of Mephisto Heidi shoes. I wasn't familiar with the brand when I bought them, but I doubt there will ever be another shoe, for me, that is as comfortable or well constructed. They last forever and look good even as they age. Isn't that what we all wish for ourselves too? I do a lot of walking and unless I'm hiking, I usually wear my Mephistos. Now that I'm living in the Pacific Northwest and have all seasons, I still wear them, with socks, until the snow falls. Five stars from me.

I found this shoe before I had surgery for a deteriorating ankle. While I used a lower-ankle brace for some time, I could use this sandal for brief times, as I found it was the same footbed as my orthotic. I wore a pair out and was not told when I purchased them that the cork needed to be sealed. I decided to replace them through you and have them sealed. They are the only sandal I can wear for brief times in the summer.

Heidi - I have worn these shoes for ten years due to a severe arch issue. They have been the only shoe that I have been able to wear that gives the needed support following surgery that was required due to injury. I would be in a fit of panic if I could not find these shoes. Zappos was located only recently by me and I am completely satisfied with their service and price. Just a great shoe in summer, bare footed or with socks during winter months.

The Heidi is comfortable and looks good. The brand speaks for itself. I have one pair at each house for winter in AZ and summer on the Cape.
