Not expecting such a heavy shoe, were too wide also. I need to return.

Boy, I REALLY wanted and expected to love these. Have owned Mephistos before (Mostly Ecco now-couldn't find right replacement for their Biome Walker, now discontinued)and really liked them. Impessed with the reviews, I tried the Match in both 45.5 and 45, but no deal. One too large, the other maybe too small, but both seemed too wide in a Medium, which is all I've ever worn. For this price, I couldn't stomach any question marks, so returned both pairs. Have settled on Mephisto Vito, which seems to fit fine, though I'm sure it provides less support.

I ordered this shoe for it’s supposed “Air Jet system channels air throughout the shoe with every step to keep the foot fresh and healthy.” Well, I feel nothing with every step. I kept the shoes. They are comfortable enough. For $375, I just wish it lived up to its claims.

despite all the positive reviews for this shoe,I found that it just doesn't fit me very well. The toe box seems too narrow, and the internal length seems a little short. I was disappointed, but am just returning it

weird, spongy. like stepping on a wet pile of moss. also ridiculously ugly. like old man at a golf resort lobby ugly. like your fuddly dad on saturday afternoon in the backyard fugly. they look like prescription shoes. i did not like the style at all.

Zappos service fabulous. Match easy on and off. A bit uncomfortable in the soles. Not as good as memory foam in much cheaper shoes. Soles are super slippery.

Shoe was stylish but heavy. Not comfortable because of uneven heels and lumpy shoe bed. Thought product was defective but second pair I ordered proved similar. Bought Mephisto Vito instead. Vito is lighter, heels are even and no lumps inside.

I wanted a pair of Mephisto shoes for a long time, so when I found what looked like the perfect pair for me for my upcoming European trip...I jumped. Expensive, yes, but should be worth it I thought. I put them on soon after I received them, and they seemed good in the heel, though the arch and ball of the foot rested on a hard surface. That was not comfortable. So I bought five pairs of socks of varying thickness, one pair very expensive, and the shoes were still uncomfortable...and they were getting hot with the thicker socks. I didn't want to return them but I had too. Too much money for a closet decoration. I already have some of those. The shoe was built like a tank, a bit heavy, and it went on and came off easily. I picked the size from my ECCO shoes, and the Mephisto was a good size for me. The insole didn't meet expectations.

Too constructed, everywhere impinging on my feet. I could feel all parts of the shoe. Tiring and inflexible Toe box is too narrow for me. I would advise getting half a size larger if you have moderately wide feet in the front. Nowhere near as comfortable as my Sam sandals, which do not have such inflexibility and narrowness of construction. I like my Patagonia Maui chukkas (discontinued) much more. That sole does not offer arch support, but it and the entire shoe are pliable and conforming, which the Match is not.

I wear a full leg brace and the show is too heavy for me to lift toe which enables knee to bend. I love Mephistos but can't wear them any more.

I am very disappointed in my recent purchase of Mephisto shoes. They are not comfortsble and are highly over rated.You don't really know until you have walked in them for a few days, then you are stuck with them if you don't like them. They may feel fine in the store. The people in the store on Yonge Street in Toronto Canada were not very friendly or helpful. They did little to help me buy the right shoe for my needs. I have had much better comfort and results from far less expensive shoes and that is the way I will continue in the future.
