My favorite shoes of all time! This is my third pair. All in 9-1/2 D, and they fit perfectly. I add a thin leather insole (keeps the removable insole lasting a long time) and a silicone heel pad (slight bone spur) and they fit and feel fantastic. Wonderful support and cushioning. Walk my dog nearly 2 miles a day with a very steep hill halfway and no problem. I had not heard of this shoe before several months ago. Bought a pair in black leather, then a pair in brown leather, and now this pair in brown multi suede. Which I'd known about this shoe 20 years ago. They can be resoled a number of times and some reviewers have reported a pair lasting 16 and 18 years. Love the 5 pairs of D rings for lacing, makes snugging the lases quick and easy and loosing them very quick. I highly recommend this shoe. The shoe is lined in very high quality soft leather. These shoes do not have any odor at all new. No odor of adhesives, synthetics, leather - none. Very unusual in a new shoe in my experience.

By accident I ordered 2 pairs of the exact same shoes. I thought the first order didn’t go through, but it did. Zappos made it easy to return the duplicate Mephistos, though.

I have to re-tie a couple of times to get the right feeling

Best work shoes. My last pair went two years in food and beverage with lots of steps and stairs. Expensive, but my feet don't hurt and the leather cleans up well.

I have wanted a pair of March shoes for some time and I decided to go with the black leather. The shoes fit very well (11.5) and there is a lot of space for my toes. I need this after foot surgery over the summer. As others have mentioned, they’re not the most stylish shoe, but they are very comfortable and I know they will last a long time based on other Mephisto shoes I have owned.

Extremely high quality and durability! I have had my black pair of Match for over 20 years, and it's holding up well. Really comfortable too.

Bought this bad boy the same year with my truck. The truck is gone but my shoes still here never faded looks the same fifteen years ago.

These shoes are a joy to my feet. Very comfortable and fit me well. If I knew of better shoes to wear, I would buy them. Wish they weren't so ugly. Durability is remarkable.

I still have a Mephisto Match that I bought over ten years ago and it is still in good shape. This is my second pair and I bought this navy because of the color. I should have bought this one instead of wasting money on cheaper shoes. The Mephisto is simply a good quality shoe and better value than cheaper shoes because they last. For the Match, I had to wear 1/2 a size larger compared to my Mephisto dress shoes. I bought a Mephisto Hike awhile back. Again, I regret buying those instead of investing in another Match. Lesson learned.

I needed sufficient space in the box for my toes and this fit the bill. It cradles the foot comfortably, gives good support and is solid. I am on my feet a lot at work, the styling is suitable for the office while being very comfortable like a sneaker without looking like one.

I bought a pair of Mesphisto Match shoes. I wear a size 8 ladies and purchased a men’s size 6. They feel like magic. Fit is wonderful. The toe box is more roomy than ladies shoes. Very comfortable. The leather is the best. Wears like iron and are beautiful to look at. I often wear very girlie shoes and clothes so it’s a surprise when I tell folks they are men’s. I’ve owned a pair in the past and missed having a beautiful, comfortable pair of walking shoes. Can walk all day and not get tired nor have aching knees, hips nor calf issues. These are like driving a BMW, The ultimate Driving machine. They are the ultimate comfort shoe built to last, stay looking fab and give me a healthier body as a result of wearing them. Can’t say enough about these amazing works of art. I’ll buy them over and over again about once every fifteen years. They last and last. Thanks Mestphisto for the engineering.

In the dark brown/ camel/ hazelnut these are decent looking shoes. Extremely comfortable.

I do a lot of walking and as I've gotten older my feet have changed and not for the better. A year ago I started experiencing leg pain, hip pain and cramping. A friend advised me to buy these shoes. I was hesitant since I had spent money on quality walking shoes to no avail. So I pulled the trigger and purchased these. All I can say is wow! what a difference a quality shoe can make. Within one week, my leg and foot pain where just about gone, No more hip pain and even my cramping had a marked improvement. After this experience I immediately purchased two more pairs and I've never looked back. These are without exaggeration, "the best shoes in the world" for as far as I'm concerned.

Another great and comfortable shoe by Mephisto. They can be worn causally or causal dress. All Mephisto shoes are a great investment and they last a lifetime. These are a perfect fit.

My first purchase of Mephisto shoes. I bought the tan full grain leather color made in Portugal. They looked just like the pictures. Beautiful textured leather. Look and feel couldn't have been any better. Very impressed with quality. These shoes are well worth the price. I hope they last a long time because I love the way they look. Great with jeans. Shoe strings are good quality. Only negative, and a very minor one, was the sole material is a little slick on smooth floor surfaces. I can live with that. Highly recommend the Mephisto Match.

Since 2014 I have been looking for a good pair of walking shoes to take with me back to Europe. I am typically too wide for medium width shoes (D) but too narrow for most wide shoes (E). The Mephisto Match fells half a size wider than medium. A perfect match for my feet. The arch support is really good, I have no need to use Super Feet inserts. I tried on a very expensive of shoes before I found these. Sure they are the price of dress shoes but I am worth it! When you get comfortable shoes you will never miss the money spent. When your feet hurt it is too late. This is Mephisto's number one selling walking shoe. I was not able to match the comfort anywhere else. The leather lining feels great against my feet. The black full grain leather looks good.

I've tried on 8 pairs of shoes this month (Ecco and Mephisto) before I finally bit the bullet and got these Mephisto Match. I'm in between Medium and Wide in width, so I'm hard to fit. This is my 3rd pair. For my job, I'm on my feet all day and walk a lot. These are obviously, not a fashion statement but they are great, solid, walking shoes. Mephisto offers a complete redo when things wear down which is cool. Yes they are expensive and yes they are a good investment and worth the money.

The most comfortable casual shoe I have ever worn. This is my second pair. Great support. Just came back for a month long trip to Asia and, even with all the walking and stairs they were perfect.

Comfortable. Breathes well. Heavy shoes due to thick rubber sole. Can wear all day long without any discomfort.

These are by far the best shoes I've owned. I was hesitant to purchase them because of the price but now am glad I did. The only negative comment I can make is I find that my feet sweat when I wear them.

Hello: The shoe is a great shoe even for the price. I use this shoe at work in a hospital, clinic stetting mostly four days/week. I keep my large toes nails trimmed and always wear socks but after ~ six months the lining above those toes wore through to the leather and a worn 'spot' appeared above, on the outside of the shoe at those sites. I wonder if the lining can be replace if I send the shoes for a complete 'overall'?

These are very comfortable shoes. Very! I was worried that the fit was too big but after an afternoon around the house they were fine. I have since worn them 10 or 12 times all day and I still love them. Great buy!
