I wear a 10.5 sometimes medium, sometimes narrow. I ordered a 41 and 42 narrow and unfortunately had to return both pair. The 41 was too small, the 42 was too big, and both were too wide. As much as I appreciate and want a good arch support, the arch was too high and didn’t feel right for my feet. If I tried a hundred different pairs of these sizes and this style, perhaps one would fit.

I really love Danskos - great quality, nice look, but they just don't fit my foot. I have a very high instep and there is not enough room for me across the top of this shoe. So, they are going back. I found that Sanita clogs have the same styles and great support but more room in the instep, making them a much better choice for me.

Zappos was great!. I was a little disappointed in the size of the shoes and Zappos exchanged them. When I go the new pair, they fit great in the length, but they no longer felt like a narrow. If you have a narrow foot, you may not be as happy with the purchase. The heal of the shoe is much wider than the toe box. I ordered a narrow and they still slide off of my feet.

Not a good shoe for those with wide feet. Love the look, wanted a good, sturdy, solid shoe for being on my feet for hours and hours. I have wide feet, so its been a trial to find something. Couldn't even get my foot into the shoe. Try Klogs USA if you have wide feet. Same style/look, but with wide sizes.

I had DANSKO shoes before that were very comfortable. This is the reason why I chose these shoes for work. I was a little disappointed. There is absolutely no ventilation, so after a long day of work my feet were hot. Also, my work is fast paced, and I couldn't walk in these shoes as fast as in my sneakers. I found them roomy and comfortable though.

I wanted so much to like these! I am looking for a good, sturdy pair of shoes for nursing school and read some great reviews of these shoes. I also read some bad reviews saying that the shoes caused people to sprain their ankles. I am in the ankle sprain camp. I wore these for a short time around the house and turned my ankle twice. I really, really wanted to love these shoes. They fit great and are very comfortable, but I cannot risk breaking my ankle. It seems like the Dansko people could fix this problem by making the sole of the shoe just a tiny bit wider. I ended up going with my tried and true Birkenstock Londons.

Good at first... then ouch - I tried on a pair of Dansko's at a store to see if I'd like them as I'd be told you either "love 'em or hate 'em". I loved putting them on! So I ordered a white pair and blue pair. They feel good for about 2 hours, and then start to hurt. I am in pain by the end of an 8 hour shift. I also find my muscles will cramp up in my feet if I try two days in a row. (I really like the shoes, so I am urging my feet to comply!) Needless to say, I no longer wear them and wasted some money. My advice, if you can't wear sandals due to your feet hurting or cramping in the feet, don't try these shoes.

"Please take them off!" I was truly bummed to find out that, contrary to what I had read, these do not stretch out very well. I even tried taking them to a store to have them stretched for me. Little improvement. The tops of my feet beg me to remove the shoes after just 2-4 hours, not to mention my toes and sides of my feet. My back and knees feel great while I wear them, but my feet feel like they are going to fall off. I start getting clumsy in them as my feet rebel against having them on. These are way too expensive to take a chance, in my opinion. If you try them on at a store, ask for a brand new pair so you won't be trying on stretched out ones. Also, mine yellowed very quickly. I know not all of them do that, but mine did. Hopefully, I can try to give them to some young college student, willing to wait the months it seems to take to have them fit better.

These are relegated to kitchen shoes. Today was the last straw-- the last ankle roll. I am not sure how people walk in them. I bought them based on the rave reviews from just about everyone. My high arches and painful great toe joint send me scurrying for shoes that had fairly rigid soles and good ankle support. I was excited when I read the reviews and shoe description. I was disappointed when I started to wear them. It took me a very long time to break them in. The issue was the tops, they were so tight. Eventually the tops eased enough that I could wear them for several hours without pain. Even then I was never able to walk properly in them-- and today was the last straw. I've had them for just under a year.

I purchased this clog in "wide width" but it is still rather narrow. I know there was a "break in" period, so I have worn them for several 10 hour shifts now, and they are still causing severe pain on the widest parts of my feet. I have now ordered a shoe stretcher as a last ditch effort to not have my money go to waste. I would not recommend these for anyone with wide feet.

Because I had recently purchased a pair of this style Dansko in Hickory Cabrio and loved them, I placed a second order; this time in black. Although the only difference between the two pairs of shoes was color, I was disappointed when I discovered that the black ones were much smaller in fit. This seemed to be true of width and length. I double checked everything to make sure that I had not ordered incorrectly. Now I have to wait all over again for a new pair to arrive. Lucky for me Zappos' return policy is easy and efficient!

Even the wide is too tight. Length is right, but the shoe is too narrow, despite it's casual and comfortable appearance.

These are very uncomfortable shoes. I don't understand what people see in these shoes. Born and Earth remain my favorites. They are more comfortable, less expensive and look better than Dansko.

I bought several pairs of Dansko and Cordovan Cabrio and they squeak. I took them back to Takken in Bakersfield, Ca he would not return them. I am very unhappy. I spoke with the owner. This is not right. Please contact me. This is first time every these make a squeak. Thank you.

I think I just have to admit that Danksos do not work at all if you have very high arches. Even with a 41W (about a size up than my normal 9.5) it was still painful across the top of my foot. I also found the color much duller/muddier than pictured here.

I got these (at a local store) with high hopes. I tried on these and the comparable Sanitas. These felt better in the store, but when I started walking around in them on a regular basis, the hard arch support was unbearable. I broke them in for a month, thinking it would change, but one day I turned wrong and the pain in my plantar fascia area was crippling. I eventually donated them. My feet aren't particularly unusual -- I don't know why they didn't work -- but they were not worth it. Nice enough looking.

I loved this shoe when I paid full price at a local shoe store. However they haven't worn well at all. Within the first 2 months, the embossing flattened out, exposing black underneath. Streaky and also wearing all the brown off along the edges. And you can't re-polish them. The padding across the top split open and the foam is now exposed. Instead of being able to wear them for work, they have become my weekend, walk the dog, paint the house shoes. I have the black smooth leather professionals, and am very happy with those. So I'm going to buy just a brown professional, and stay with what works.

Disappointed. Having worn Danskos for nearly 15 years, this pair I couldn't figure out. One shoe at the heel, the other shoe was way too short at the toe. Felt like two different sizes. 41 has always been perfect for me, but these were really strange. Must return.

I have always loved my Dansko's but very shortly after purchasing the brown tooled version the dye started to rub off around the edges of the toe box. I e-mailed Dansko with my concerns, but never received a reply. I am now looking for my new favorite pair of shoes since I don't feel comfortable purchasing Dankso's again.

Loved the look of these shoes. Unfortunately, they were not comfortable standing on my feet for more than 6 hours. I work 10 hours. The arch is too high and my heels hurt. So bummed. Love Zappos for their free shipping and returns!

These fell apart 13 months later. I mean they literally tore at the seams and of course it was a month after the 12 month return policy. I would also add that I only wore them to walk from my car to my desk at work and on the weekend. I was expecting them to last more than a year for the price that I paid.

I've heard lots of great things about Dansko shoes and was so excited to get them but was so not happy when I got them. They were uncomfortable right away and I was not happy with how my foot kept coming out of the shoe. The heal of the shoe seemed a little too low and wasn't able to keep my foot inside.

he worst shoe I have ever bought for work. I work in a kitchen and cannot understand the positive reviews on this shoe. My feet hurt so bad, these shoes are extremely uncomfortable.

I agree with some of the other reviewers that this shoe only fits some feet. I have had problems with Dansko in the past being too tight around the instep but I figured I would give them another shot, considering this shoe got so many good reviews. When I tried them on I realized I had the same problem as in the past, so I decided to measure my feet. Turns out my left foot is an 8 normal width, and my right foot is a 7.5 wide, which is why the right foot hurts around the instep. Apparently this is not all that uncommon. Anyway, nice looking shoe in the brown tooled (for a Dansko), but they're going back.
