I stand on my feet on cement at work and needed a comfortable shoe, but I didn't like this shoe at all; the heel was very loose and much too big, and the front of the shoe was way too small and tight. Not a good choice for ladies with slender feet; if I would have sized up, the shoes wouldn't have stayed on my feet at all; it was already so loose in the heel that it was like a flip-flop when I walked, and not at all comfortable in the tiny toe-box.

These clogs look very professional with their nice patent leather shine. And they give me a nice boost to my 5'4" height. However, these shoes really hurt my feet where I have bunions and bunionettes. I feel so old complaining about bunions, but after years of wearing high-heeled, pointy-toed shoes, I guess I was asking for them. I am a physician working in the hospital, and I walk around to see 15-18 patients a day. I stand a lot, too. My feet kill me during and at the end of the day. Bunion pads from Walgreens help... What am I going to do? These are expensive shoes! My feet feel better during and after my 12-14 hour shift when I wear my new Asics Gell Blur33. If you stand a lot, they are good. If you walk and stand, especially if you walk fast, and you have a wide forefoot and/or bunions, buy some gym shoes with a wide toebox instead.

These shoes looks great. The design tooled in to the leather is well done. However, the shoe cut into the top of my foot the entire shift. Ouch! I don't have a high arch, so my foot isn't the problem. At times it felt like my foot was falling asleep from the pressure. If I had tried these shoes on in a store I never would have bought them. They look good but they certainly don't make my feet feel good.

I loved the style of the shoe but unfortunately, the comfort was not there for me. The width and length of the shoe were perfect but the arch was so tight on the upper part of my foot that it left dents in my flesh. But the bottoms of me feet liked the shoes very much! I'm disappointed because so many others have sung the praises of these shoes. They just didn't work for me.

I'm returning because the shoes had no give. I loved the look but they were like wearing blocks of wood. They just weren't for me.

The shoes were mis-marked. The left shoe was correct sizing but the right shoe was to to small in length and not "wide" enough.

I would have given this shoe a five I brought the same shoe two years ago and wanted a new pair. The sizing has changed. The comfort level is not as good as before. They were great to wear all day long.

I was disappointed in the sizing. I wea a 7.5 and I ordered a 38 in these and the cordovan brown. The brown fit perfect, but these were too tight across the top of my foot. I'm sending them back and I'm going to try a 39.

So frustrated with Dansko size issues! I have worn Dansko's for 15 years and have always been a size 39 until the last few years, when their sizing changed. Now a 39 is very snug but my foot is swimming in a 40. As a teacher who needs comfy shoes, this is such a disappointment!

These shoes were labelled 43 (12½ - 13), but they were labeled 11 length. That was very disappointed because I loved these shoes but they were too small. It is so hard to find shoes in my size that are comfortable.

The size of the shoes felt good. But the top practically crippled my left foot from being to tight. I had to send them back. I am debating on trying the wider size.

For some reason, this pair of Professionals runs a good size smaller than any other pair I own. In fact, I got three different pairs of Professionals in an order today, all size 42, and the red were so tight that I could barely get them on. They were still loose in the heel, once on, but very, very tight across the top of my foot. None of the others that came today were that way, nor were the other two pairs that I already owned. So by all means, order because they are adorable and on sale for a great price, but you might consider ordering up a size.

I have worn Danskos for 9 years now. The two pairs I have now are 5 years old and 3 years old. I have always worn a 39 narrow. Imagine my surprise when I ordered a new pair of Dankos in my normal size, and they did not fit the same! They are far too big -- too long and too wide. So I tried a 38 narrow. The right shoe is perfect, but the left shoe is just not right. The arch support is different also. I need the type of support Danskos used to have, but since Sanita split with Dansko, these shoes are just not the same. They do not have the same support they used to have. I am very disappointed, but I'm also glad that I can purchase Sanita clogs. If you like the old Dansko clogs, then you like the design of Sanita. This Dansko fan is now switching to Sanita.

The shoes are beautiful but truthfully, I don't like the extra padding along the instep, by the end of the day, it feels very constricting to me, something that I never felt with other styles that didn't have that extra padding.

I originally purchased size 43. They were much too big. The shoes were flopping around. Not functional at all. So I returned the shoes for a 42. Fabulous return experience. No problems. You would think that the next size down would be a perfect fit but it was not quite that perfect. The top of my foot fits too tight. There is definitely discomfort there. When I'm driving, my foot will fall a sleep from the lack for blood flow. I decided to keep this because everything else fit besides the top. Since the shoe is leather I thinking that it would stretch, which it did. It is not longer painful, but it is still somewhat uncomfortable. Another month of stretching and everything may turn out OK. I think unfortunately there is too much of a size range from 43 to 42. If using that standard, we need a 42 1/2.

Not as narrow as they used to be. Maybe they were miss marked? They were a full 1/4 inch wider across the foot than my old ones.

Well, I'm totally stumped. I live the 40 Narrow clogs that I ordered a couple of years ago, but now a 40N is way too big and a 39N is too small. The sole of the new 40N is the same size as my old pair, but the toe area is much longer and taller. Guess I'll return these 40Ns too (tried twice!) and wait until next year and see if the sizing changes. I love Dansko clogs - so comfortable for feet with falling arches and Morton's Neuromas, but they are not working for me this year.

I'm not happy with these shoes. I admit that I have extraordinarily large feet; however, I ordered large to cover it. I ordered a size 42 Wide. I wear a size 11 (U.S.) Wide. They are fine in length, but are very tight. The tops of my feet feel crushingly suffocated when I wear them. I have to wear thin nylon socks because if I attempt to wear thicker cotton socks, I cannot even get the shoes on. In retrospect, I ought to have returned the shoes to Zappos, but I had worn them a full day at work before deciding they were too uncomfortable to keep. I would not purchase these shoes again. Despite my size problems, I would like to say that they are quite impressively well-made and obviously a good quality shoe. If only they fit better, they'd be worth every penny.

These are not as comfortable as my last pair (exactly the same except they were from 2005, which was probably before Dansko and Sanita separated, I think). And the color seems to be off. The arch seems to be a little different, and the leather that meets right at the instep is a little tight. Otherwise, they wear like any other Dansko. Very comfortable, wearable all day (these are my "winter" shoes), and sturdy (I never slip in the snow in these). I have turned my ankle in my old ones many times - I assume I'll have to be careful in these, too. The leather that makes up the back part of the shoe appears much darker than the leather that makes up the front/top part of the shoe. They are supposed to be brown, but the backs appear almost black. Not weird enough for me to return them, I guess; just aesthetically, not what I'd hoped for (or expected, having bought these as a replacement for my old ones of the same color). I have had many pairs of Danskos over the last 6 years when I first started wearing them, and these have not quite met my expectations. I'm a little disappointed with them.

I'm a 7, so I ordered a 37. It was so big, especially in the heel, that it actually fell off my feet! So I ordered a 36. The heel fit properly (still free movement but not so much gaping), but the shoe was too short. I'd love to try a narrow, but it's out of stock so I'll have to call around and see if anyone around here has it. Never had to get any other shoes in narrow- frustrating. In the reviews of this shoe, I've seen everything from "fits small" to "fits large" to "fits inconsistently." While it may be a great shoe, I don't recommend ordering these online. They're too touchy, and while Zappos has a fantastic return policy (not to mention free shipping in the first place- awesome!), it's still disappointing to have to extend the process of getting new shoes over the course of weeks. If you are new to Dansko clogs, go to a store and try them on instead of ordering online like I did.

I have high arches and these shoes are just way too tight across the top of my foot. I end up with bruises by the end of the day. I also found them not quite wide enough. I kept wearing them because I wanted them to work, but they didn't get better.

These were not exactly what I expected. While they felt very supportive, each shoe felt like it weighed ten pounds ! I cannot imagine wearing these all day long. I am sad I have to return them. Zappos is so hassle-free; definitely the best on-line shopping site!

I bought these shoes because I am pregnant and read that they were very comfortable. I was a little disappointed because these shoes actually hurt my feet for weeks and still these shoes are not that comfy.

I bought this shoe as I have plantar fasciitis, and after reading the many reviews about other nurses who also purchased them and were happy with them. I did break them in, as is recommended, but I am sorry to say that after 1 week of 40 plus hours worked, my feet were aching to get them off. I also have 2 blisters/corns on my pinky toes, which I never had before. I don't understand. I even spoke to customer service before ordering to make sure the sizing was okay (as it is Euorpean sizing). Also the heel is loose. Now I have them I can't return them, and it hurts to have spent this much. I was a nursing student when I bought these. Could have invested less and bought a good pair of Nurse Mates!

A very heavy shoe! I didn't like the way my heel moved up and down when walking. I know this is the way the shoe is made to perform, but I didn't think it would be as loose in the heel as it was. Returned.
